Honda Motor Japan telah memfailkan saman terhadap Hero Electric atas dakwaan rekaan skuter elektrik syarikat itu diciplak daripada Honda Moove.

Saman yang difailkan pada 22 Mei lalu itu menyatakan bahawa Hero Electric telah meniru rekaan bahagian depan dan belakang termasuk lampu daripada Honda Moove.

Honda turut meminta Hero Electric menghentingkan pengeluaran Hero Dash yang telah dilancarkan di India pada Ogos tahun lalu.

Menurut laporan ET Auto, Mahkamah Tinggi Delhi mengarahkan Hero Electric untuk menjawab segala dakwaan yang diajukan Honda Motor.

Hero Dash merupakan skuter elektrik yang menawarkan jarak tunggangan sehingga 60km bagi setiap cas penuh (4 jam).

Dash EV turut didatangkan dengan lampu LED dengan DRL, port mengecas USB dan paparan digital.- ET Auto

Honda Malaysia telah melancarkan kempen Community Relief sempena pelancaran Honda BR-V yang telah dikemaskini bagi tahun 2020.

Kempen Be Kind With BR-V merupakan inisiatif khas untuk membantu menyokong program bantuan Covid-19.

Menerusi kempen yang berjalan dari 2 Jun hingga 31 Ogos ini, setiap pembelian BR-V baharu, Honda akan menderma sebahagian daripada penjualan kepada program bantuan Covid-19.

Pada masa sama, Honda turut mengerah semua pengedar untuk sama-sama menghulur bantuan terhadap komuniti yang terkesan menerusi kempen kedua, Honda Dealer Donation Drive yang berjalan dari 1 Jun hingga 31 Ogos ini.

Menerusi kempen ini, orang ramai boleh menderma barangan keperluan di pengedar Honda. Barangan tersebut kemudiannya akan disalurkan ke mereka yang terkesan sekitar kawasan berhampiran.

BR-V yang telah dinaik taraf ini menampilkan estetik yang lebih maskulin bagi meneruskan kesinambungan rekaan ‘Active-Solid Motion’ menerusi gril depan baharu, bumper depan baharu, dan kemasan lampu depan yang baharu.

Model ini turut didatangkan degan rekaan rim aloi dua tona termasuk antena sirip yu baharu.

Honda BR-V 2020 ini didatangkan dengan enjin 1.5L SOHC i-VTEC yang menghasilkan 118.3hp yang disalurkan menerusi transmisi Continous Variable Transmission (CVT).

Meskipun berkonsepkan crossover serba boleh, BR-V menawarkan ruang yang luas dan selesa menerusi konfigurasi 60:40 One Touch Tilt & Tumble di barisan kedua dan 50:50 Tilt & Full Tumble di barisan ketiga.

Ini membenarkan pemilik menggunakan setiap ruang sebaik mungkin untuk penumpang dan barangan termasuk ruang letak barang berukuran 223 liter (ketika tempat duduk dinaikan) dan 539 liter ketika tempat duduk dilipat.

Antara ciri lain ditawarkan:

  • tweeter speakers
  • cargo light
  • cabin filter
  • paparan 7 inci
  • auto air conditioning
  • keyless dan push start button (didatangkan secara standard)

Honda BR-V ditawarkan dalam dua varian, E dan V dengan masing-masing ditawarkan pada harga RM89,000 dan RM96,900.

Meskipun pasaran motosikal dunia terkesan susulan pandemik Covid-19 namun penurunan tersebut berjalan secara perlahan terutamanya bagi pengeluar motosikal Jepun, Honda.

Sebelum ini, India muncul sebagai pasaran terbesar Honda namun dipintas Indonesia bagi tahun 2020.

Berdasarkan Tahun Kewangan (FY) 2020, Indonesia merekodkan penjualan 4.85 juta unit memintas India dengan 4.7 juta unit.

Meskipun kedua-dua angka tersebut merupakan penurunan daripada FY2019 namun penjualan Honda di Indonesia tetap melebihi pasaran India sekitar 150,000 unit.

Antara faktor penurunan penjualan di India melibatkan pengenalan kepada piawaian emisi BS-6 yang telah memberi kesan kepada kenaikan harga dan kos insurans di samping pandemik Covid-19 yang memberi impak terhadap kuasa pembeli.

Bagaimanapun, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI), YS Guleria kekal optimis dengan penjualan jenama itu di India dengan lebih 10,000 unit telah pun terjual seminggu selepas sekatan dibuka. – Money Control

750cc bikes became the hotbed for sportbikes in the late 80s and 90s as the Superbike World Championship heated up to its glory days. Manufacturers were throwing in everything they had this way as they saw that the premier production racing class was the way to promote their street bikes.

5. Suzuki GSX-R750(F) (1985)

The first Suzuki GSX-R750 (F-model) may not break new technical grounds, but it’s the first big capacity racing replica motorcycle on the road. (The first was the Suzuki RG250 in 1983). Up till then, the performance bike scene was still pretty much dominated by UJMs (Universal Japanese Motorcycles). The Gixxer brought along the aluminium box-section frame (also debuted with the RG250) and other weight saving bits, plus an oil cooled engine also to save weight. Suzuki also gave it flatslide carburettors.

4. Honda VFR750R RC30 (1987)

The RC30 showed Honda’s determination in not only GP but also in other forms of racing. As such, the bike was built by HRC (Honda Racing Corporation): The same guys who build the GP bikes. The bike was pretty complex, indeed, with a V-Four engine, quad-cams, titanium conrods, beefy aluminium frame, etc. It went on to win the 1988 and 1989 Superbike World Championships besides other production racing series such as the World Endurance Championship (including the prestigious Suzuka 8-Hour), Isle of Man TT and Macau GP. Only 3,000 units were made.

3. Kawasaki Ninja ZXR-750/ZX-7 (1989)

Kawasaki also decided to enter superbike racing, after pulling out of the 500cc GP for many years. The Superbike series became hotly contested between four manufacturers i.e. Honda, Ducati, Yamaha and Kawasaki. The ZX-7 finally captured the manufacturer’s first crown in 1993.

2. Honda RVF750 RC45 (1994)

Just to show how stiff the competition and progress in Superbikes were, the RC30 was outclassed by the third year of its launch. A small Italian manufacturer called Ducati had kicked everyone’s butt by racing relatively simple bikes namely the 851, 888 and later 916. Honda responded the way Honda typically responds by upping their bike’s technology. Thus, when the new RVF750 RC45 was revealed in 1994, it had all the bell and whistles of modern bikes (except for traction control) including PGM-FI, close firing order V-Four, lightweight forged pistons, titanium conrods, ceramic and graphite impregnated cylinder liners, close ration gearbox, yada, yada, yada. It came close to beating Ducati to the title several times and finally doing it in 1997 in combination with John Kocinski’s talent. The RC45’s engine produced over 190 hp – higher than even Honda’s mighty NSR500 GP racer – in its final form. Only 200 RC45s were ever built.

The original Gixxer may have shown the way in terms of “light-is-right” but subsequent versions started putting on so much weight that negated their performance. One prime example was the WP model. This new Gixxer was lighter than even the company’s own GSX-R600 and some 20 kg below the nearest competitor. To boost engine power, Suzuki gave the bike an intake system called Suzuki Ram Air Direct or SRAD in short. And along with its distinctive “hornet” tail, the bike became an icon.

But is it in Number 1? It’s because like what we said in the beginning of this article: Suzuki is the only manufacturer who is currently building 750cc sportbikes. The DNA of the original GSX-R750 still lives in the current 2020 GSX-R750(L9) and it’s a very rider-friendly bike.

  • A recall campaign for the Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade has been issued in Europe.

  • The campaign seeks to fix potentially defective conrods.

  • The bike is slated to arrive in different markets.

While many are still awaiting to take delivery of the 2020 Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade (besides being kept indoors by lockdowns in various countries), the manufacturer has issued a recall campaign in Europe.

The campaign affects some 300 bikes. Honda says that it’s a precautionary measure to fix what could be potential conrod (piston connecting rod) failure. The defect may be due to metallurgical defect.

The number makes up about 10% of the bikes allocated to the continent. Other countries are thus far unaffected. It leads us to believe that the conrod supplier made a bad batch.

In any case, we’ll keep you updated in case those of other markets are involved.

On another note, it’ll be interesting to see how this new CBR1000RR-R will do in the market, especially given its price. Such price point was last seen with other Honda World Superbike homologation specials such as the VFR750R RC30, RVF750 RC45, VTR1000SP RC51. All these bikes were either built entirely or in part by the maker’s racing arm – HRC (Honda Racing Corporation).

Lastly, a recall campaign issued by a manufacturer ought to be seen in positive light, despite being as sensational as it seems. It’s better for manufacturers to discover problems early and notify consumers as soon as they can.

Therefore, recall and service campaigns are a commonplace these days.

Perkara itu disahkan menerusi paten yang difailkan pengeluar motosikal Jepun itu yang memaparkan sebuah enjin V-Twin.

Paten tersebut menunjukkan sebuah enjin V-Twin bersaiz serdahana (dijangka sekitar 650-750cc) yang diletakkan pada sebuah jentera naked.

Bagaimanapun, paten tersebut hanya mendedahkan enjin yang dibangunkan tanpa sebarang info mengenai sesaran dan kuasa yang bakal dihasilkan.

Namun, seperti paten yang didedahkan, kemungkinan enjin ini akan diguna pakai varian Neo Sports Cafe baharu melainkan Honda bercadang menghidupkan semula model terdahulu antaranya NT650 dan VT500.

Honda CBR600RR-R

Pada bulan Mac lalu, Young Machine mendakwa Honda bakal menghasilkan CBR600RR-R yang diinspirasikan daripada ‘abang besar’ CBR1000RR-R.

Kini, pengeluar motosikal Jepun itu disahkan bakal memperkenalkan jentera sportbike middleweight tersebut di GP Thailand musim depan.

Sebelum ini, Honda CBR600RR dianggap sebagai antara jentera segmen 600cc yang terbaik namun Honda terpaksa menghentikan pengeluaran susulan piawaian ketat Euro 4 yang diperkenalkan pada 2017.

Difahamkan, Honda merancang untuk memperkenalkan CBR600RR-R lebih awal namun ditunda ke tahun depan susulan pandemik Covid-19.

Honda CBR1000RR-R

Menggunakan tetapan sama yang terdapat pada CBR1000RR-R, model ini didatangkan dengan lampu depan LED berkembar dengan saluran pengambilan udara berada di tengah-tengah.

Malah, CBR600RR-R ini turut akan dilengkapi dengan winglet yang diinspirasikan daripada teknologi MotoGP.

Antara ciri lain yang mungkin didapati pada CBR600RR-R:

  • paparan TFT berwarna
  • fork USD
  • mod tunggangan
  • ABS
  • IMU
  • traction control
  • launch control

Sebelum ini, Honda menawarkan CBR650R bagi pasaran dunia namun model tersebut lebih terarah kepada tunggangan jalan raya berbanding litar sepertimana yang akan ditawarkan jentera lain dalam segmennya seperti Kawasaki ZX-6R dan Yamaha R6.

Penunggang motosikal di Australia mendapat berita baik apabila Honda ADV 150, skuter berkonsepkan ADV itu kini boleh didapati di negara tersebut dengan harga AUD5,799 (RM16, 109).

Honda ADV 150 merupakan motosikal jenis skuter yang menawarkan elemen adventure menerusi jarak kelegaan tanah 165mm serta fork Showa 116mm.

Jentera terbabit dijangka akan menarik perhatian ramai pembeli berdasarkan keadaan permukaan jalan raya dan rupa bumi di negara terbabit.

Honda ADV 150 membuat penampilan sulung ketika di Gaikinda Indonesia International Auto Show 2019, dan sejak itu seluruh dunia terutamanya di Asia termasuk Malaysia mengharapkan model tersebut dilancarkan dalam masa terdekat.

Manakan tidak, tengok sahaja rupa keseluruhan yang membawa DNA X ADV 750cc tetapi bernadikan enjin 150cc – 149.3cc bagi yang gemarkan angka spesifik – yang mampu menghasilkan 14.2h pada 8,500rpm.

Antara ciri menarik lain ditawarkan adalah penghadang angin boleh laras, adaptor mengecas 12 volt dan ruang letak barang 27 liter di bawah tempat duduk serta sistem keyless.

Sekali pandang, Honda ADV 150 ternyata menjanjikan pengalaman tunggangan yang menyeronokkan.

Ketika ini, segmen skuter 150cc di Malaysia hanya menawarkan Honda Vario, Yamaha NMax serta NVX namun jika Boon Siew Honda berjaya merealisasikan hajat rakyat Malaysia dengan membawa masuk ADV 150, pastinya segmen ini menjadi lebih rancak.

Honda dilaporkan bakal memperkenalkan sebuah motosikal segmen ADV baharu berdasarkan paten yang difailkan ke Pejabat Harta Intelek Kesatuan Eropah.

Pengeluar motosikal Jepun itu telah pun memperkenalkan jentera konsep Honda CB4X ketika di EICMA tahun lalu.

Bagaimanapun, berdasarkan paten yang difailkan baru-baru ini, Honda disahkan bakal membawa jentera konsep itu ke peringkat pengeluaran.

Siapa sangka, model yang baru beberapa bulan ditayangkan sebagai konsep di Milan kini akan dihasilkan secara besar-besaran dalam tempoh singkat.

Menggabungkan elemen sport dan touring, CB4X dijangka menghangatkan lagi segmen motosikal ADV yang ketika ini dihuni Yamaha Tracer, Kawasaki Versys dan BMW F 900 XR.

Difahamkan, rekaan keseluruhan CB4X ini lahir daripada pejabat R&D Honda di Rome, Itali.

Ketika ini tiada maklumat mengenai sesaran enjin yang ditawarkan namun terdapat laporan yang mendakwa jentera ini didatangkan dengan nadi sekitar 650cc ke atas dengan empat silinder.

Sementara itu, difahamkan motosikal ADV ini didatangkan dengan rim 17 inci, lampu LED depan dan belakang, penghadang angin boleh laras dan paparan TFT berwarna dengan keterhubungan Bluetooth.- Ride Apart
