Dua Warna Baharu untuk Honda Rebel (2024)

Boon Siew Honda Sdn. Bhd. (BSH) telah mengumumkan dua warna baharu tambahan untuk Honda Rebel (2024) yang juga dikenali sebagai CMX500. Warna-warna baharu itu digelar Mat Laurel Green Metallic dan Seal Silver Metallic. Ini menjadikan pilihan warna yang ada kepada tiga, termasuk Mat Gunpowder Black Metallic yang sedia ada.

Ciri-ciri

Enjinnya kekal tidak disentuh, justeru ia masih 471cc, penyejuk cecair, berkembar selari yang memberikan 43Nm tork pada 6,500 RPM dan 34kW (45.6hp) kuasa maksimum pada 8,500 RPM.

Sudah tentunya sistem bahanapi enjin ini merupakan PGM-FI (Suntikan Bahan Api Terprogram) Honda yang telah lama wujud. Pengilang berkata ia membantu menjimatkan bahanapi, dan mengurangkan pelepasan, antara beberapa faedah lain.

Sesuai dengan peranannya sebagai motosikal cruiser, enjinnya ditala untuk tork yang kuat pada RPM rendah dan sederhana, bukannya untuk kuasa maksimum.
Pencahayaan LED keseluruhannya, termasuk lampu depan yang bulat.

ABS dwi-saluran (depan dan belakang) sebagai ciri standard.
Meter kelajuan ditetapkan dalam dail 100mm dengan paparan LCD negatif dan lampu latar putih yang memaparkan kedudukan gear dan penggunaan bahan api.

New Colours for 2024 Honda Rebel

Boon Siew Honda Sdn. Bhd. (BSH) has announced two additional new colours for the 2024 Honda Rebel (also known as the CMX500) called Mat Laurel Green Metallic and Seal Silver Metallic. This brings the available colour options to three, including the existing Mat Gunpowder Black Metallic.

Highlights

The engine remains untouched, hence it is still the 471cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin which delivers 43Nm of torque at 6,500 RPM and 34kW (45.6hp) of maximum power at 8,500 RPM.

It is of course fed by Honda’s long-standing PGM-FI (Programmed Fuel Injection) system, which the manufacturer says helps to save fuel, and reduce emissions, among several other benefits.

The powerplant is tuned for strong low and midrange torque, instead of maximum power befitting its cruiser role.
All-around LED lighting, with a round headlight.

Dual channel ABS as a standard feature.
The speedometer is set in a 100mm dial with a negative LCD display and white backlight which displays gear position and fuel consumption.

The “peanut” tank holds 11.2 litres of fuel.

Honda CBR600RR Leads Middleweight Sales in UK

Are sportbikes truly dead? It does not look to be so as the revised 2024 Honda CBR600RR supersport bike leads the middleweight category sales in the UK, in June this year.

Honda UK naturally says it is great news since CBR600RR is now doing well in the SuperSport category in the British SuperBike (BSB) series and won at the recently completed Isle of Man TT.

However, overall industry news is not so rosy. Total registration in June was 12,734 units, which is a 5.8% drop compared to 2023. Year-to-date sales are also 0.7% down from the previous year.

The Honda CBR600RR was dropped for all other markets except for Japan since 2017 but it returned to the UK this year, selling at £10,499 (RM63,579.65). Its 599cc, 16-valve, inline-four engine produces 119 hp, putting it in the same category as the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R.

The CBR600RR is the real supersport machine, compared to the 94hp Honda CBR650R which is more road-oriented. The latter is in the same category as the Yamaha YZF-R7, Kawasaki Ninja 650, Suzuki GSX-8R, Triumph Daytona 660, and also the Aprilia RS 660. whose engines produce sub-100hp performance.

Boon Siew Honda Sdn. Bhd. telah mengumumkan dua pilihan warna baharu untuk Honda ADV160 (2024) iaitu Kelabu dan Putih.

Ia boleh didapati di semua Honda Impian X dan pengedar sah Honda di seluruh negara mulai 18 Julai 2024. Harga jualan yang disyorkan ialah daripada RM 13,249 (bukan atas jalan).

Aspek mekanikal skuter pengembaraan ringan yang popular ini kekal tidak berubah, menampilkan enjin 157cc, silinder tunggal, 4 injap dengan teknologi eSP+, yang menghasilkan 11.8 kW (15.8 hp) pada 8,500 RPM dan tork 14.7 Nm pada 6,500 RPM.

Prestasi enjin disokong oleh sistem Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) yang mengoptimumkan penghantaran tork enjin mengikut daya tarikan tayar, manakala Sistem Idling Stop (ISS) yang dimajukan meningkatkan kecekapan bahan api enjin.

Keselesaan penunggang masih menggunakan ciri-ciri ketinggian tempat duduk rendah 780mm, skrin penahan angin depan boleh-laras dua langkah. ABS adalah standard untuk brek hadapan sahaja, walaupun brek belakang menggunakan sistem cakera.

Ciri-ciri lain termasuk sistem Honda Smart Key, pengecas USB 5V 2.1A, dan 30 liter ruang simpanan bawah tempat duduk.

The mechanical aspects of the popular lightweight adventure scooter remains unchanged, featuring a 157cc, single-cylinder, 4-valve engine with eSP+ technology, that delivers 11.8 kW (15.8 hp) at 8,500 RPM and 14.7 Nm of torque at 6,500 RPM.

The engine’s performance is complimented by the Honda Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) system that optimises engine torque delivery according to tyre traction, while an advanced Idling Stop System (ISS) enhances the engine’s fuel efficiency.

Rider comfort still consists of a low seat height of 780mm, besides a two-step adjustable windscreen. ABS is standard for the front brake only, despite the rear disc brake system.

Other features include the Honda Smart Key system, a 5V 2.1A USB charger, and 30 litres of underseat storage space.

Honda claims the 2024 Honda ADV160’s wet weight with a full tank of fuel at 133kg.

2024 Honda NSS250 Launched in Malaysia

Boon Siew Honda Sdn. Bhd. has launched the 2024 Honda NSS250, formerly known as the Forza 250 in Indonesia and Japan.

Being a bigger capacity scooter means the NSS250 has several big features that places it in the premium scooter segment.

Highlights:

249cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, SOHC four-stroke, four-valve engine with eSP+ that delivers a healthy 17 kW (22.8 hp) at 7,750 RPM and 24 Nm at 6,250 RPM.

Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) which delivers the correct amount of torque, hence traction control.

Honda CRF250 Rally (2024) telah dilancarkan di Malaysia.

Motosikal adventure ringan ini telah mendapat sambutan yang agak baik sejak dilancarkan beberapa tahun lalu. Kita tidak melihat banyak daripadanya di jalan raya kerana pemiliknya sedang menikmati pengembaraan off-road mereka!

Apa yang tidak disukai mengenai motosikal ini? Ia mempunyai julat kuasa yang mudah lancar, kelihatan tampan, mempunyai suspensi yang selesa, serta beberapa ruang simpanan barang yang terbina di dalam. Tetapi yang paling penting ialah ia tidak banyak kerenah dan penyelengaraannya tidak memerlukan kos yang besar.

Bercakap mengenai penampilan, rekabentuk CRF250 Rally diilhamkan secara langsung oleh pelumba Honda CRF450 di dalam Dakar Rally yang telah memenangi rali itu banyak kali berturut-turut. CRF450 itu dibangunkan oleh cabang perlumbaan Honda, iaitu Honda Racing Corporation (HRC). Oleh itu, versi 2024 ini masih mengekalkan skim warna Extreme Red. Selain itu, terdapat lampu depan LED dengan kanta berkembar asimetri, penahan angin depan terapung, penutup radiator yang lebar, dan pelana berwarna merah yang cantik.

2024 Honda CRF250 Rally Launched in Malaysia

The 2024 Honda CRF250 Rally has been launched in Malaysia.

The lightweight adventure bike has seen a rather good following since its launch several years back. The reason why we do not see many of it on the road is because its owners are enjoying their off-road adventures!

What is there not to like? Easy-going powerband, good looks, comfy suspension, some built-in storage space, but above all, reliable and affordable to maintain.

Speaking of looks, the CRF250 Rally’s design was inspired directly by the Honda CRF450 Dakar Rally racers that have won many of the rallies on the trot, that were developed by Honda’s racing arm, Honda Racing Corporation. Hence, the 2024 still bears the Extreme Red paint scheme. Apart from that, there are the asymmetrical twin-lens LED headlights, floating windscreen, the wide radiator shrouds, and the beautiful red seat.

The 2024 edition has Showa upside-down forks, anti-lock brakes (ABS), and an assist and slipper clutch. There is a new swingarm which is 5kg lighter that its predecessor’s. The 12.8-litre fuel tank allows for long distance riding.

At its heart is still the 250cc, single-cylinder, DOHC, liquid-cooled, engine which produces 24 hp (18 kW) at 9,000 RPM and 23 Nm of torque at 6,500 RPM.

Honda CB350RS (2024) telah dilancarkan di Malaysia.

Honda menggelarnya sebagai “model sport jalanan” tetapi lebih tepat jika digelar retro moden atau lebih khusus UJM (universal Japanese motorcycle/motosikal Jepun sejagat). Walauapapun, ini adalah bentuk semua motosikal pada zaman dahulu. Anda beli hanya sebauh motosikal seperti ini, ubah suainya dan pergi berlumba tidak kira di atas jalan atau off-road (jadi scrambler), dan kemudiannya pergi ke tempat kerja pada hari berikutnya.

Bagaimanapun, Honda CB350RS (2024) ialah sebuah motosikal moden dengan ciri-ciri moden, di dalam bentuk badan klasik berbanding rekabentuk “neo retro” Honda CB250 yang cacamarba.

2024 Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin Adventure Sports ES Introduced in Malaysia

The much-awaited 2024 Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin Adventure Sports ES has been introduced in Malaysia. Better known in short as the “Africa Twin” it features several important revisions, including more power and better comfort.

Key highlights:

The 1084cc, liquid-cooled, OHC, parallel-twin engine provides 7% more peak torque. Maximum power is 75 kW at 7,500 RPM and maximum torque of 112 Nm arrives at 5,500 RPM.
The DCT (Dual Cluth Transmission) has been revised to provide a more natural, feathered (better known as “half-clutch”) feel during initial acceleration, and between first and second gears.

The usual “M” (manual) mode is retained, allowing the rider to change gears by pressing the handlebar mounted buttons.
The riders can switch between “D” (drive) and “S” (sport) modes.
Further revision of the DCT includes incline detection, to avoid the gearbox shifting while the bike is leaned over.

Showa Electronically Equipped Ride Adjustment (Showa EERATM) suspension is now standard, as opposed to being an option on the previous Africa Twin.
The system automatically adjust damping force based on the riding conditions, and depending on which of the four suspension modes (MID, HARD, SOFT, OFFROAD) and a USER mode was selected.
The usual ride-by-wire throttle is retained hence providing electronic assistance in the Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) feature, now managed with a six-axis inertial measurement system (IMU).

The rider can select one of four ride modes: TOUR, URBAN, GRAVEL, or OFF-ROAD.
There is also Wheelie Control with 3 selectable levels.
Its ABS also works in conjunction with the IMU to provide safer braking solutions at all lean angles.
Rear ABS can be turned off for off-road riding.

19-inch front wheel for better on-road stability while maintaining its off-road capabilities.
Minimum ground clearance of 220 mm.
Seat height can be adjusted between 820 mm and 840 mm without tools.

A new seat with 15mm thicker cushion and 8mm more area for more comfort on long rides.
The 2024 Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin Adventure Sports E shows a redesigned front fairing for better wind deflection to minimise wind blast on the rider’s body.
6.5-inch TFT Multi Information Display (MID) integrates Apple CarPlay and AndroidAuto.

The 2024 Honda CRF11000L Africa Twin Adventure Sports ES will be available from 19 June 2024 in two color options namely Mat Ballistic Black Metallic and Pearl Glare White. Selling price (not on the road) is RM 119,388.

Honda CBR250RR (2024) telah dilancarkan di Malaysia, bersama beberapa kemas kini tertumpu kepada prestasi enjin dan pengendalian.

Ciri utama baharu:

Nisbah mampatan dinaikkan kepada 12.5:1 daripada 12.1:1 dengan mengurangkan isipadu kebuk pembakaran daripada 7.55 cm³ to 70.0 cm³.
Diameter tekak port masuk telah dibesarkan daripada 21.4 mm kepada 21.6 mm.
Pemasaan injap kemasukan dikemas kini.

Piston dan ketegangan gelang minyak yang dioptimumkan untuk mengurangkan geseran.
Kemas kini ini menghasilkan peningkatan kuasa maksimum sebanyak 1 kW (1.34 hp) berbanding model sebelumnya, dan membawanya kepada 31 kW (41.6 hp) pada 13,000 RPM dan tork 25 Nm pada 11,000 RPM.
Ciri Assist dan Slipper Clutch dikekalkan, tetapi kini dilengkapi dengan quickshifter.

Suspensi depan dinaik taraf dengan fork jenis terbalik Showa Separate Function Fork -Big Piston – Big Piston (SFF-BP) 37mm.
Di sebelah ciri elektronik, Honda CBR250RR (2024) mempunyai pendikit ride-by-wire yang seterusnya menawarkan tiga mod tunggangan, iaitu Sport+, Sport, dan Comfort.
Bentuk fairing telah dirombak untuk apa mengikut konsep yang panggil “bentuk pantas agresif”, yang membawa kepada pengurangan rintangan udara sebanyak 6%.

“Dengan CBR250RR baharu, kami menyasarkan untuk memberikan pengalaman tunggangan yang tiada tandingan yang menggabungkan kuasa, ketepatan dan gaya,” kata Mitsuharu Funase, Pengarah Urusan dan Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Boon Siew Honda. “Ia adalah bukti komitmen Honda terhadap inovasi dan kecemerlangan dalam segmen motosikal supersport.
