CFMoto

CFMoto is preparing to launch two battery-powered miniature motocrossers, according to recently filed design registrations.

While electric bikes have yet to fully catch on with mainstream riders, off-road competition represents a logical area for electric power, particularly at the lower end of the market.

CFMoto’s new models are designed to offer virtually silent, emissions-free motocross racing, opening up the possibility of tracks being built in areas where noise complaints would preclude the use of gas-powered machines, and even allowing indoor use.

The two models appear to share the same motor and battery arrangement but with different-size frames and wheels.

The smaller model features 10-inch wheels front and rear, similar to KTM’s SX-E 3. The larger model, with its 14-inch front and 12-inch rear wheels, targets older riders and has similar proportions to the Yamaha YZ65.

While both models were designed by CFMoto, they were filed through the European Union Intellectual Property Office, suggesting a market targeting outside of China.

With the designs now registered, the electric models should be ready for launch soon.

CFMOTO has been making waves in the motorcycle industry with its range of entry-level bikes that are both affordable and powerful.

The company has recently launched the 450SR, a new sportbike that is sure to impress even the most discerning motorcycle enthusiast. We recently took an 18 hours flight from Malaysia to Istanbul, Turkey to get the first taste at the new machine at the Intercity Istanbul Park circuit.

So here’s why we think, the 450SR is a special bike and deserve to be on your shopping list.

1. Engine

The first thing that stands out about the CFMOTO 450SR is its engine. The 450cc parallel-twin engine is not unique in and of itself, but what sets it apart is the 270-degree crankshaft. This engine configuration is similar to what you would find in the Yamaha MT-07, a bike that is known for its powerful bottom and mid-range, as well as its thrilling exhaust note.

The 450SR is the first parallel-twin in its class to feature a 270-degree crankshaft, making it a unique offering in the market. With 50 horsepower available, it is also the most powerful sub-500cc sportbike on the market. The 450SR is sure to give its competitors, such as the Ninja 400 and KTM RC 390, a run for their money.

2. Components

Apart from its powerful engine, the CFMOTO 450SR also boasts top-tier components. The bike comes with Brembo brakes up front that are fitted with dual-channel ABS. The suspension components are adjustable, and they are made by KYB. CFMOTO has also added some fancy electronics to the 450SR, including a full-color TFT display, ABS, traction control, and a slipper-assist clutch.

3. Style

CFMOTO has always been known for its stylish designs, and the 450SR is no exception. The bike has an ultra-slim, razor-sharp appearance that is sure to turn heads. The bodywork is stunning and has every feature that you would want on a high-performance sportbike. CFMOTO has even added winglets that claim to provide 2 kilograms of downforce at 120 kilometers per hour.

4. Price

With all the features that the CFMOTO 450SR offers, you would expect it to come with a hefty price tag. However, the bike is priced at just RM28,888 making it one of the most affordable sportbikes in its category.

CFMOTO has managed to pack in a lot of value into this bike, and it is sure to be a hit with motorcycle enthusiasts who are looking for an affordable yet powerful sportbike.

The CFMOTO Story

CFMOTO is a Chinese motorcycle manufacturer that was founded in 1989. The company has come a long way since then and is now one of the largest motorcycle manufacturers in the world. CFMOTO has always been focused on producing high-quality bikes that are both affordable and powerful.

The company’s entry-level offerings, such as the 250SR have been a hit with first-time big bike riders who are looking for an affordable yet powerful bike. CFMOTO then moved into the middleweight market with the 700 CL-X family of Neo-Retro bikes. These bikes packed a powerful punch much above their weight class and created a stir in the market.

CFMOTO then set its sights on the middleweight ADV market and launched the 800MT, a KTM-derived model. The 800MT was a hit with adventure riders who were looking for an affordable yet capable bike.

Now, CFMOTO is upending the sportbike market with the 450SR, one of its most recent masterpieces. The company has always been focused on producing high-quality bikes that offer great value, and the 450SR is no exception.

In conclusion, the CFMOTO 450SR is a motorcycle that demands attention. It’s not only striking in appearance, but it also boasts a variety of top-of-the-line features that are unrivaled in its class. The 450cc parallel-twin engine with a 270-degree crankshaft makes it the most powerful sub-500cc sportbike on the market, and the Brembo brakes, KYB suspension, and electronic rider aids make it a formidable competitor against more expensive models.

While CFMOTO may be a newcomer to the sportbike market, it has shown that it can hold its own against more established brands. Its entry-level offerings, such as the 250SR, have already impressed first-time big bike riders, and the 700 CL-X and 800MT have made waves in the middleweight market. With the 450SR, CFMOTO has once again proved its ability to create exceptional motorcycles that offer outstanding value for money.

CFMOTO has recently launched the latest addition to its 700CL-X series, the 700CL-X Adventure (ADV), during its global launch at Intercity Istanbul Park, Turkey. The ADV model is designed to cater to riders who crave adventure and excitement.

CFMOTO has announced that the ADV model will be available in the Malaysian market from the beginning of April at a base selling price of RM35,888.

The 700CL-X ADV is the third model of the 700CL-X series, following the Heritage and Sport models launched in 2020 and 2021, respectively. Unlike the first two models of the series, this Adventure model is more focused on riders who love challenges and off-road adventures.

The 700CL-X ADV comes with a robust engine platform that is similar to the other CL-X models. However, the DOHC inline-twin cylinder, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled engine has been adapted for the Scrambler characteristics of this bike. The model offers a maximum power of 69Hp at 8,500rpm and a maximum torque of 60.9Nm at 6,500rpm, which optimizes the engine for off-road use, paying more attention to a low-speed linear output.

To cater to the off-road adventure riders, CFMOTO has raised the handlebars of the 700CL-X ADV by 30mm and back by 15mm, which gives the rider a more relaxed and calm posture to deal with external shocks and side-to-side sway. The model also comes with other off-road excesses, such as solid aluminum alloys, a higher ground clearance than the 700CL-X Heritage, and raised front fenders to prevent gravel and mud from getting stuck, making it easier to ride on unpaved roads.

In terms of convenience, the 700CL-X ADV is equipped with an electronic throttle that offers two options: Road Mode and Off-Road Mode. The model also features an intelligent lighting system where the automatic LED headlights with turn signals return to their original position. Additionally, the 700CL-X ADV comes with a T-box (optional) that has a built-in 4G module and a 6D sensor, which enables the rider to check the display of vehicle status, position, distance, etc., in real-time.

For the rider’s comfort, the saddle cushion is doubled, which balances the center of gravity when moving forward and backward while riding. With every purchase of the CFMOTO 700CL-X Adventure, buyers can enjoy a manufacturer’s warranty of two years or 20,000 km (whichever comes first).

The 700CL-X Adventure model is only available in Aurora Blue, and interested buyers can get it from any authorized CFMOTO distributor throughout Malaysia from the beginning of April. With the 700CL-X ADV, CFMOTO Malaysia aims to capture Malaysian adventure riders who want to explore new terrains and enjoy the off-road experience.

We knew that CFMoto 450SR is coming to Malaysia awhile back but we just received confirmation from MForce Bike Holdings that the 450cc sportsbike is now available in Malaysia with a recommend selling price of RM28,888.

  • Features a peppy 449cc parallel-twin with 270-degree crankshaft, good for 50HP and 39Nm.
  • The 450SR also features a host of premium components, including Brembo M40 brake callipers and switchable ABS.

CFMoto gains worldwide attention especially in Asia and Europe with their impressive range of motorcycles including the CL700, NK650, and the 650GT.

The brand is known for bringing bike bike to the budget-conscious market including the quarter litre sportbike, the 250SR.

However, the 450SR is an all-new motorcycle altogether and features premium specs.

Powering the 450SR is a 450cc parallel-twin DOHC engine with 270-degree crank capable of pumping 50hp @ 9,500rpm and 39Nm @ 7,600rpm with a compression ratio of 11.1:5.

Power is delivered to the rear wheel via a final chain drive mated to a six-speed transmission.

Other notable features include a 5-inch TFT curved instrument display with smartphone connectivity and USB charging port.

With a 14L fuel tank and a kerb weight of 169kg, the CFMoto 450SR is definitely a strong contender in the 400cc to 450cc segment.

Chinese motorcycle manufacturer, CFMoto is working on a new inline-triple engine of around 675cc, according to recent patent documents as reported by Cycle World

This move is particularly interesting as it suggests that the company is committed to developing a range of engines with different capacities and layouts, despite its partnership with KTM and the growing consensus in the industry that internal combustion engines are reaching the end of their lifespan. It also hints that there is still a future for internal combustion.

The triple engine is expected to be part of the same family as the 449cc parallel twin that’s currently available in the 450SR sportbike.

The engine, which features a 270-degree crankshaft, promises to be a huge step forward compared to the company’s previous ICE engines.

The new three-cylinder engine shares many design features with the 449cc twin, including the cylinder head and cam-cover design. If the 72mm bore and 55.1mm stroke of the 450 are carried over to the triple, the result will be a total of almost exactly 673cc.

The design of the new engine suggests that it is focused more on low-to-midrange torque and less on outright revs and peak power.

However, CFMoto could easily change the bore and stroke to give the triple more displacement and performance if required. The engine features a balancer shaft mounted at the front, as is typical for triples, and the water pump appears to be driven from the same shaft.

CFMoto has already shown extensive experience with battery-powered motorcycles and has vast battery-production facilities on its doorstep.

Despite this, the company is still investing in the development of traditional gasoline engines.

CFMoto, the Chinese motorcycle company, is set to take on BMW’s CE 04 electric scooter with their latest offering. The company has been making waves recently with their developments in both internal combustion engines and electrification.

  • CFMoto’s latest patent application appears to show a real-world, production-style version of their Magnet concept bike.
  • CFMoto is investing in both internal combustion engines and electrification, and they already have multiple electric-bike projects underway.

While CFMoto is still working on a 1,000cc V-4 with over 200 horsepower, they also have a substantial focus on electric-bike projects.

Their first major electric-bike project is the 300GT-E, a sport-tourer developed with the Chinese police in mind. They also have the Papio Nova, a battery-powered minibike that rivals Honda’s Grom, and have created the Zeeho brand for their electric scooters.

Under the Zeeho brand, the company showcased the Magnet concept bike late last year, which promised a large, battery-powered scooter to rival BMW’s CE-04. Recently, CFMoto filed a patent application that appears to show a real-world, production-style version of that scooter.

The patent design features a scooter with a similar stance to the Magnet concept, but with a more viable construction. The battery’s center section, which doubles as the main-frame structure, is made of aluminum instead of plexiglass. The scooter also features tubular subframes bolted onto the front and rear, creating the flexibility to make multiple different variations of scooters from the same central chassis section.

The scooter’s single-sided swingarm, inverted fork, radial-mount brake calipers, electric motor mounted behind the main chassis, and wide rear wheel are all similar to the Magnet concept bike. However, the patent design features a more practical angle for the single shock, which is mounted on the left of the swingarm.

CFMoto’s patent focuses on the battery pack’s cooling and illustrates the modular nature of the design. The company can use the same basic components to create either air-cooled or liquid-cooled battery packs, with either a finned side panel for air-cooling or a smooth one for the liquid-cooled variant. While the liquid-cooled battery would allow for higher performance and faster recharging, it comes at a greater expense than an air-cooled version.

Nevertheless, CFMoto has not yet released any further details on the production version of their electric scooter, but the numbers they provided for the Magnet concept bike suggest that it is a serious contender. With a top speed of 93 mph, zero-to-30 mph acceleration in less than 2.5 seconds, and a range of 124 miles between charges, CFMoto’s new electric scooter is definitely one to watch out for.

CFMoto latest model, the 250CL-X are now available at local dealerships for Rm16,888.

  • The 250CL-X features the similar design language as the bigger 700CL-X.
  • Powering the 250CL-X is a single-cylinder 249.2cc engine.

Despite no official announcement from authorized distributors, the quarter litre ‘neo-retro’ motorcycle were seen at several local dealership across the country.

The CFMoto 250CL-X features a liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine with a displacement of 249.2cc. It produces 26 horsepower and 17.4 lb-ft of torque, which is more than enough to provide an exciting ride. The engine is mated to a six-speed transmission that offers smooth and precise shifting.

The motorcycle’s design is inspired by the classic café racer style, which is characterized by a slim and streamlined profile, clip-on handlebars, and a single-seat configuration. The 250CL-X also features LED lighting, a digital instrument cluster, and a digital display that provides real-time information on the motorcycle’s performance.

The motorcycle comes equipped with a high-performance suspension system, which consists of an upside-down front fork and a rear mono-shock absorber. The brakes are also impressive, with a 292mm front disc and a 220mm rear disc that provide excellent stopping power.

Riders who are looking for an entry-level motorcycle that offers a balance of style, performance, and affordability may want to consider the CFMoto 250CL-X as an option.

  • panel meter digital LCD
  • lampu LED penuh
  • fork USD
  • cakera brek depan dan belakang
  • ABS
