Maverick Vinales pulls one of the best races in his career by taking the win in Qatar after overcoming eighth place at the end of lap one.

Meanwhile, Johann Zarco of team Pramac Racing finished second, followed by MotoGP newcomer and Ducati factory team rider, Francesco Bagnaia who completes the podium at third place.

The race begins with a Ducati onslaught as Bagnaia led the race, followed by Zarco, Jack Miller, and Jorge Martin.

However, Vinales and teammate Fabio Quartararo settled down and began to chase the front pack, which led Martin to fall down the pecking order before finishing 15th.

Miller, who was impressive throughout the pre-season test, had to succumb to 9th place, finishing behind Aprilia’s Aleix Espargaro, who took 8th.

Nevertheless, Vinales was the most impressive rider among the flock, making up most of his time sweeping corners by using Turn 10 and 15 to his advantage.

With five laps to go, Vinales managed to pull away even further from Zarco and Bagnaia.

Late into the final stage, 2020 world champion Joan Mir set to finished behind Vinales after superb overtaking at the last sector from Zarco.

However, Zarco and Bagnaia frightening speed on board the GP21 at the final straight was proven too much for the Spaniard, who had to settle for 4th.

2021 MotoGP will resume next week in Qatar.

Valentino Rossi concluded the five days of MotoGP pre-season test with Petronas Yamaha Sepang Racing Team (SRT) in Qatar.

However, the 42 year-year old could not get on his YZR-M1 on the final day due to strong winds which caused the track to be filled with sands.

Nonetheless, Rossi expressed his satisfaction towards his new M1, with the Italian feels he is 85% done heading towards the season opener in Losail.

Valentino Rossi, Qatar MotoGP test, 12 March 2021

“We wasted one day, but fortunately yesterday we did all the important work/

“It’s a shame because we have some other things to try, including a long run for a race simulation.

“But for the rest, the balance is quite positive because especially in the last two days, we improved a lot the bike, the grip, the feeling,” he said.

Rossi also showed some love to Yamaha after last season blunder with the factory-spec M1.

“The positive is that Yamaha worked cleverly during the winter, and they brought here some good things like the new chassis and aerodynamics.

“This is very important because we have a lot of problems to improve for me in the last years.

“he second positive thing is the feeling with the new team and with all my staff [at Petronas] is beautiful, the atmosphere is good. So these two things make me happy,” he added.

Bulan lalu, terdapat laporan seorang pengumpul motosikal di United Kingdom menawarkan beberapa motosikal untuk dijual antaranya Kawasaki ZX7-RR 1996 serta sebuah Ducati 1299 Superleggera 2014.

Kini, individu terbabit turut menawarkan sebuah jentera edisi terhad keluaran 1999, Yamaha YZF-R7 OW-02.

But it is not the YZF-R6 successor, nor will it continues the previous R7 status.

Instead, the new R7 will come with the same 689cc parallel-twin engine that powers the current MT-07 motorcycle, as proven by the latest CARB filings.

Hence, making the upcoming R7 a fully-faired MT-07.

Last year, Yamaha announced their decision to discontinue the YZF-R6 due to the stringent emission rules.

The motorcycle instead continued to be sold as a non-homologated, track-only machine.

Nonetheless, rumours start to rife that Yamaha may be working on an MT-07 based Supersports, possibly called the Yamaha YZF-R7.

Japanese publication, Young-Machine even predicted the R7 before Yamaha decided to pull the plug on the R6.

Yamaha Motor Co. Ltd introduces the all-new TMAX 20th Anniversary Edition as a tribute to the company success with the TMAX over the last 20 years,

The limited-edition model (with only 560 units build) features a forged carbon body noticeable in the body panels, the front fender, and the exhaust shield.

According to Yamaha, the unit also displays yellow details as reminiscent of the original model’s bright colouring.

Other key features:

  • Exclusive carbon shell design
  • Special heated grips and saddle
  • Exclusive colour
  • 560cc EURO5 approved engine
  • Dynamic and aggressive body design
  • Electric windshield
  • cruise control
  • Integrated LED front arrows
  • Fully equipped with best-in-class specifications
  • Lightweight aluminium frame
  • Traction control and D-MODE
  • Spacious storage compartment
  • Keyless ignition Smart Key
  • Monochrome TFT instrumentation
  • Motorcycle type suspension with optimized settings
  • Center stand locking system

Since its introduction 20 years ago, the Yamaha TMAX has retained its success as one of the world’s best-selling sports scooters.

The 1st generation 500cc 2-cylinder scooter can reach 160km/h, thanks to the compact motor mounted in the tubular frame.

The 2nd generation was also a hit when it was introduced between 2004 and 2007 with a more powerful injection engine and better features in the form of a new suspension setup, double front disc, and ABS (optional).

Later in 2008, Yamaha introduced a new aluminium frame that helps improve maneuverability.

Four years later, the 4th generation came into the picture, this time with a bigger 530cc platform paired to a belt transmission and aluminium swingarm. The motorcycle then updated again in 2015, which came with radial brake callipers to improved braking.

Yamaha then makes a huge leap two years later by introducing the Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle (YCC-T) and Traction Control (TCS), selectable power delivery, cruise control, heated grip/saddle, and electrically adjustable windscreen.

Last year, the engineers at Shizuoka threw a bigger displacement. This time, a 560cc powerplant that produces 46.9hp @ 7,500rpm and 55.7Nm @ 5,250rpm.

To date, nearly 300,000 units have been sold across Europe, making the TMAX the most successful “sport scooter” ever produced.

The said motorcycle is rumoured to fill the gap between the beginner R25 and the 1000cc R1.

If the rumour is accurate, we are looking at a possible R7 powered by the same CP2 engine of the MT-07 that produces 74hp.

Even though the power is not up to par with the Aprilia RS660 or their Japanese counterpart, the Honda CBR650R, we can assume that Yamaha might tweak the engine to add more power.

The R7 might also retain the same chassis and electronics as you get on the MT-07.

Prinsipal pasukan Yamaha, Lin Jarvis, tampil memberi penjelasan mengenai situasi motosikal Morbidelli.

“Adakah Franky layak mendapat spesifikasi terbaik? Ya.

The 2021 Yamaha SR400 Final Edition was recently launched in Japan and like the name goes, this will be the final hurrah for this particular model. Not wanting to update this baby to Euro 5, the SR400 Final Edition comes in two variants, the base Final Edition and Final Edition Limited. (more…)
