Yamaha telah menghasilkan YZF-R1 GYTR VR46 sebagai penghargaan khas kepada Valentino Rossi yang telah pun bersara dari MotoGP.

Model khas itu didedahkan di EICMA 2021 yang sedang berlangsung di Milan, Itali , ketika ini.

Sebagai penghargaan terhadap pencapaian Rossi – dengan sembilan kejuaraan dunia merangkumi kelas MotoGP, 250cc dan 125cc serta 115 kemenangan dan 235 podium dari 425 perlumbaan – Yamaha menghasilkan jentera R1 khas yang turut memaparkan ‘livery’ khas hasil rekaan Aldo Drudi, individu penting dibelakang setiap rekaan helmet AGV dipakai Rossi.

Selain itu, R1 GYTR VR46 ini menampilkan segala aksesori GYTR 2022 hasil daripada pembangunan di Kejuaraan Superbike Dunia (WorldSBK) 2021 yang telah pun membantu Yamaha muncul juara menerusi Toprak Razgatlioglu, baru-baru ini.

Jentera khas ini membolehkan Rossi terus menikmati mesin R1 dari Yamaha di litar lumba Misano tidak lama lagi.

Sementara itu R1 GYTR VR46 ini datang serba lengkap dengan kit fairing dan ‘subframe’ gentian karbon dengan tangki yang telah diperbesarkan kepada 22L.

Jentera ini juga dilengkapi dengan ECU REX 140 Marelli berprestasi tinggi yang menjaminkan penghasilan kuasa yang besar manakala sistem membrek dikendalikan kaliper jenama Brembo.

Jentara khas itu juga didatangkan dengan beberapa komponen WorldSBK antaranya enjin yang ditala mengikut standarda WorldSBK, kit ‘triple clamp’ boleh laras (offset 22.5mm x 27mm), kit sensir, penapis udara spec-WorldSBK serta papan pemuka Chrome Lite dengan GPS.

One month after unveiling the Yamaha Tracer 9 GT, Hong Leong Yamaha Motor (HLYM) has finally announced the official price for the sports-tourer motorcycle.

Like the new 2021 MT-09, these Tracer 9 GT feature a new engine, electronics, and exterior design. In other words, it’s a completely new sports-tourer.

Starting with the engine, the 2021 Tracer 9 GT come with the same 890cc CP3 inline-three engine that was introduced earlier for the new MT-09.

Compared to the previous Tracer 900, this new engine features a longer stroke by 3mm, which upgrades its power output from 114hp to 117hp.

This new engine, although bigger in capacity, is actually more compact and lighter than the previous model. Housed within a new CF die-cast aluminium Deltabox chassis, the new Tracer 9 GT is said to be lighter and more agile than its predecessor. It’s also further refined with a new slipper/assist clutch and longer swingarm.

Also similar to the new MT-09 is the addition of a six-axis IMU plus lean-sensitive rider aids developed from the brand’s top-of-the-range superbike, the R1M. We’re talking three-mode Traction Control System, Slide Control System, Front Wheel Lift, Brake Control, and more.

For the styling department, the Yamaha Tracer 9 GT is now more aerodynamic which offers one hell of a sexy look plus wind-cutting performance that allows for longer distance riding when paired with its 19-litre fuel tank. Fully fuelled, this baby can travel over 350km without having to stop to refuel.

As a sport-tourer, this bike is expected to be able to carry a lot of cargo. With that being said, it comes with a full three-bag luggage capability. Other features include all-LED lights, twin 3.5-inch TFT screens, lightweight SpinForged wheels, fully-adjustable 41mm USD forks, and an adjustable seat.

The 2021 Tracer 9 GT gets you a host of features which includes:

Yamaha telah pun mengemas kini YZF-R6 untuk tahun 2022 dengan dua varian baharu R6 Race dan R6 GYTR dengan kedua-duanya adalah jentera khas untuk litar lumba sahaja.

Yamaha R6 Race merupakan jentera litar lumba yang diinspirasikan daripada generasi R6 terdahulu.

Bagaimanapun, Yamaha telah membuang segala aspek yang menjadikan R6 sebagai jentera ‘road-legal’ antaranya lampu depan, cermin sisi dan pemegang nombor plat bagi menghasilkan jentera litar lumba.

Selain daripada datang dengan satu pilihan warna sahaja (hitam) namun R6 Race ini masih lagi mengekalkan spesifikasi sama seperti R6 ‘road-legal’terdahulu antaranya suspensi KYB, kaliper brek 4-pot depan dengan cakera brek 320mm dan pakej elektronik.

Sementara itu, Yamaha R6 GYTR merupakan versi yang lebih tinggi bagi tahun 2022.

R6 GYTR ini didatangkan serba lengkap dengan segala aksesori tambahan daripada GYTR dan Yamaha.

2022 Yamaha R6 Race

The R6 Race is basically a strip down street bike R6 to make it a track-only race bike.

In other words, the Japanese firm removed the headlight, mirrors and license plate holder to make it a ready to race track machine.

Despite being available in just an all-black colour scheme, the R6 Race maintains the same feature as the previous street-legal R6 which includes KYB suspension, 4-pot front callipers with 320mm disc and Yamaha’s electronic package.

The Yamaha R6 GYTR is for those wanting that little bit of extra as it is fitted with Yamaha’s wide range of accessories.

Other than it features a programmable superstock race ECU, the R6 GYTR is equipped with a host of racing parts which includes a cowling set, wire harness, interface cable, on/off switch, AIS plug set, ABS emulator, keyless fuel cap, seat cushion, adjustable race rear set, ECU set and most importantly, Akrapovic full race exhaust system.

It also features stainless steel brake line, shifting kit, sprocket protector, brake lever guard, DID gold race chain, paddock stand hooks and a paddock stand.

Pelumba Yamaha, Toprak Razgatlioglu muncul juara dunia Kejuaraan Superbike Dunia (WorldSBK) 2021 meskipun menamatkan pusingan akhir di Litar Mandalika di belakang pesaing utama, Jonathan Rea.

Meskipun perlumbaan Race 1 dengan 20-lap itu pada awalnya terganggu dengan hujan namun tempat kedua sudah cukup buat Razgatlioglu mengukuhkan kedudukan mata untuk muncul juara dunia meskipun masih berbaki satu perlumbaan lagi.

Razgatlioglu menjadi pelumba pertama untuk merangkul takhta WorldSBK buat Yamaha sejak Ben Spies melakukannya pada 2009.

Razgatlioglu juga muncul pelumba Turki pertama yang berjaya melakar kejayaan tersebut.

Sementara itu, kejayaan Razgatlioglu juga menyaksikan dia menamatkan dominasi enam tahun berturut-turut Rea di pentas WorldSBK.

“Sukar untuk saya jelaskan perasaan saya ketika ini.

“Impian saya musim ini sememangnya mahu muncul juara dunia untuk arwah ayah saya jadi hari ini cukup istimewa.

“Pada awalnya saya berasa gerun kerana tayar depan tergelincir beberapa kali. Ini adalah hari yang sangat istimewa buat saya,” jelas Razgatlioglu selepas Race 1 selesai.

Rea mendahului perlumbaan sebaik aksi bermula dengan Razgatlioglu jatuh ke tempat keempat sebelum kembali mengejar dan memintas Garret Gerloff dan Scott Redding untuk mengambil tempat kedua sementara Redding ketiga.

Kejuaraan ini juga bermakna, Razgatlioglu sertai juara dunia MotoGP, Fabio Quartararo yang berjaya menghadiahkan kejuaraan untuk Yamaha dalam musim sama.

Toprak Razgatlioglu crowned 2021 WorldSBK champion after finishing second behind Jonathan Rea in Race 1 at Mandalika Circuit, Indonesia.

The win also witnesses Razgatlioglu becoming the first rider to beat Kawasaki’s Rea to the WorldSBK title since 2015.

The final round at Mandalika was delayed once again as the rain began to fall moments before the scheduled race before it finally get going 15 minutes later.

Rea made a brilliant start and took the lead before Turn 1 while Razgatlioglu pushed down to 4th place however the Pata Yamaha quickly made his move to take second place off Garrett Gerloff and Scott Redding.

With 2 laps to go, the Turkish rider began catching up to Rea however it wasn’t enough as Rea held on for the win while Redding took third place.

Nevertheless, it was enough for Razgatlioglu to take his first WorldSBK championship from Rea and also became the first Yamaha rider to win the title since Ben Spies in 2009.

Razgatlioglu also joins Fabio Quartararo in winning the world titles in the same season for Yamaha.

Juara dunia MotoGP musimi 2021, Fabio Quartarao memberitahu media dia enggan menandatangani kontrak baharu bersama Yamaha sekiranya jentera ‘factory’ M1 masih gagal pamer kemajuan.

Hari pertama ujian pra-musim di Jerez menyaksikan Quartararo sekadar menamatkan aksi di tempat kesembilan keseluruhan sementara pelumba LCR Honda, Takaaki Nakagami muncul terpantas.

Meskipun menguji jentera 2022, Quartararo mendakwa YZR-M1 tersebut masih lagi prototaip yang sama diujinya sewaktu di Misano pada September.

Taktala kontrak pelumba Perancis itu akan tamat pada hujung 2022, Quartararo menegaskan dia tidak berminat menandatangani kontrak baharu selagi jentera M1 tiada peningkatan menjelang ujian pra-musim di Sepang pada Februari.

“Masih terlalu awal. Saya tidak mahu menandatangani apa-apa sehingga ujian pra-musim di Malaysia.

“Saya mahu melihat perkembangan positif daripada jentera saya.

“Pada saya adalah normal untuk tidak mengikat kontrak baharu sebelum musim 2022 bermula.

“Saya akan tunggu sedikit masa lagi untuk lihat apakah perkembangan seterunsya bersama Yamaha terutamanya pembangunan jentera di Sepang nanti,” jelas Quartararo.

Difahamkan, Quartararo mahu melihat jentera M1 miliknya mempamerkan peningkatan kuasa yang lebih baik berbanding Ducati.

The 2022 TMAX and TMAX Tech Max get sportier style, compact body, and updated wheels and suspension.

At the core of the update is a new radical Supersport-inspired design thanks to a new aluminium frame and sportier riding ergonomics contributed by a slightly aggressive position.

Yamaha also equipped the new TMAX with a revamped adjustable screen with central air vent intake that helps reduce wind pressure.

The maxi-scooter also gets a reshaped front end, slimmer waist and new dual LED headlights that create a sportier front fascia.

The new TMAX is also lighter thanks to a new lighter Spin Forged 10-spoke wheels that helps to reduce front inertia by 10% and 6% at the rear.

It also features the Bridgestone Battlax SC2 as standard.

The Japanese firm also equipped the 2022 TMAX with a higher-spec 41mm USD front forks and a new single-shock rear.

Nonetheless, the new TMAX and TMAX Tech Max makes the same 47hp and 55.7Nm of torque from the 560cc engine.

Other exciting features include an all-new 7″ full-colour TFT with smartphone connectivity and Garmin maps connectivity replacing the analogue meter and LCD display available on the 2021 model.

Yamaha telah melancarkan TMax dan TMax Tech Max generasi terbaru yang kini dinaik taraf dengan rekaan lebih sporty dan ciri elektronik serba moden.

Ciri terbesar adalah rekaan yang lebih sporty dengan Yamaha mendakwa TMax terbaru ini diinspirasikan dengan rekaan Supersport hasil penggunaan chasis aluminium dan tempat duduk lebih agresif.

Tahap keselesaan juga meningkat dengan penghadang angin boleh laras baharu dengan corong udara di bahagian tengah yang berfungsi mengurangkan tekanan angin terhadap penunggang.

Menurut Yamaha, TMax 2022 tampil dengan pilihan warna Extreme Yellow, Icon Blue dan Sword Grey manakala TMax Tech Max boleh didapati dengan warna Dark Petrol dan Power Grey.

Menariknya, rekaan lampu LED depan juga lebih sporty sekaligus mewujudkan aura lebih garang.

Yamaha turut menaiktaraf bahagian tayar dengan penggunaan rim Spin Forged yang lebih ringan berbanding model sebelumnya dan berfungsi menurunkan inersia lebih 10 peratus di bahagian depan dan 6 peratus di bahagian belakang.

Model 2022 ini juga didatangkan dengan tayar Bridgestone Battlax SC2 secara standard.

Yamaha turut mengemaskini sistem suspensi dengan penggunaan fork USD 41mm depan dan penyerap hentakan tunggal belakang baharu yang meningkatkan lagi tahap kecekapan menunggang.

Meskipun TMax dan TMax Tech Max 2022 ini kekal dikuasakan enijn 560cc sama yang menawarkan 47hp dan 55.7Nm namun dengan berat 218kg menjadikan skuter maxi ini paling ringan dalam kelasnya.

Turut mencuri tumpuan adalah penggunaan skrin TFT 7″ serba baharu dengan keterhubungan telefon pintar serta peta Garmin yang boleh disambung menggunakan Bluetooth/Wifi/USB.

Kawasaki and Yamaha have joined forces together with Mazda, Subaru and Toyota to discover the use of hydrogen fuel in internal combustion engines.

According to reports, Yamaha is in charge of internal components and parts, combustion studies and output performance, while Japanese ignition company Denso focused on developing direct injection injectors and spark plugs.

However, Kawasaki is miles ahead of the rest, considering the Japanese marquee already had an eye on hydrogen fuels since 2010 and is set to finalise the product by the end of the year.

Kawasaki already has a static engine that can run on hydrogen gas.

Interestingly, Honda and Suzuki will also join the project later.

Hong Leong Yamaha Motor (HLYM) telah pun melancarkan skuter utiliti terbaru menerusi Yamaha Ego Gear yang boleh didapati dengan harga RM5,419.62 (tidak termasuk cukai jalan dan insurans).

Menurut HLYM, Yamaha Ego Gear menawarkan tunggangan yang senyap dan lancar hasil penggunaan enjin 125cc BlueCore dengan teknologi Smart Motor Generator (SMG).

Yamaha Ego Gear itu juga menawarkan penjimatan minyak terbaik menerusi fungsi Start Stop terutamanya sewaktu tunggangan harian.

Kombinasi lampu LED juga mewujudkan rupa bentuk yang lebih moden di samping menawarkan pencahayaan terbaik sepanjang masa.

Bahagian meter juga mendapat pencahayaan yang baik sekaligus membantu menyampaikan info kelajuan di sebelah malam.

Antara ciri menarik lain ditawarkan:

Menurut HLYM, Yamaha Ego Gear ini tampil dengan tiga pilihan warna menarik, Silver, Red dan Blue.

The 2021 Yamaha MT-09 is finally available in Malaysia for a price of RM54,988 (excluding road tax, insurance and registration).

The new price is a significant increase of more than RM7,000 than the previous generation MT-09.

Looking at the differences with the previous-gen model, it would be easier to say that the 2021 Yamaha MT-09 is a completely new model built from the ground up. Its key features are more power, less weight, and cleverer than ever before.

First and foremost, its firepower has been increased to 117hp and 93Nm of torque thanks to the newer and bigger 890cc inline-three engine. New upgrades to its pistons, conrods, camshafts, and crankcase also mean that this engine is lighter than its smaller predecessor.

In other words, the new 890cc unit is lighter but more powerful, even though it is now Euro5-compliant.

All this power is sent to the rear wheel via a six-speed manual transmission, which is now upgraded with the presence of a slip/assist clutch. All of this is now housed within a new diecast aluminium Deltabox frame matted to a new subframe and swingarm (which are also made out of aluminium).

In total, the 2021 Yamaha MT-09 weighs only 189kg (kerb).

Also new to the 2021 model is its braking package which consists of dual 298mm discs up front paired with Nissin callipers and radial master cylinders. The suspension comes in the form of a fully adjustable KYB front fork and a rear shock unit with preload and rebound adjustability.

The biggest upgrade for the 2021 Yamaha MT-09 has to be its electronic riding aids, which is inspired by the brand’s top-of-the-line superbike, the Yamaha YZF-R1. The MT-09 now features a six-axis IMU unit that works together with its lean-angle sensitive traction control, slide control, cornering ABS, and rear-lift mitigation features.

 

Other features include a 3.5-inch TFT screen, quickshifter, and auto-blipper for clutchless up and down gear shifts. The front headlight design now houses the main projector headlight and two sides DRLs that present a completely new presence for the new MT-09. Looking at the specs, we don’t mind the looks on a single bit.

According to Hong Leong Yamaha Motor (HLYM), the new models will make their way to the authorised Yamaha dealership beginning November 11.
