MV Agusta has since steadily re-organised its company structure thanks to its new CEO, Timur Sardarov.

Under his stewardship, the MV Agusta has shifted its focus towards improving reliability and ownership experience while putting in a significant investment in expanding the current line-up.

“One of my first objectives was to resolve the situation of financial stress that the company was experiencing and lay the industrial and commercial foundations for its growth. Today, these objectives have been achieved and we can look to the future with renewed confidence, comforted by the success our new models are achieving.

“In 2021 we expect to exceed 100 million euros in turnover for the first time in history, and to triple this figure within the next three years,” said Sardarov.

The Varese-based company is currently busy updating its current model to meet Euro 5 emission; however, Sardarov revealed they would soon turn its attention to enter a new segment, particularly the mid-range market.

“A 550 and 950 [will come]. Both projects take 24 to 28 months from now to complete. Perhaps the 550 could arrive first,” he added.

MV Agusta has just unveiled the updated 2021 Brutale 1000 RR ‘hyper naked’ motorcycle.

At a glance, it’s hard to pinpoint the changes on what remains to be one of the most bizarre yet extreme looking motorcycles in the market.

The updated Brutale 1000 RR looks virtually identical to the previous model, including the power figure, as it remains at 208hp and 116.5Nm.

Nonetheless, the 1000cc engine now Euro 5 compliant, which means despite the same monstrous power, it is now cleaner thanks to tweaked valve guides and exhaust system.

Like the recently launched F3 Rosso, the Brutale 1000 RR now equips with cornering ABS by Contentinal incorporated into the Continental IMU for better handling and ride experience.

Riders will also appreciate the 5.5″ TFT cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, navigation system and Mobistat tracker.

MV Agusta recently launched the F3 Rosso with the mid-segment triple-cylinder 789cc sports bike updated with Euro 5 engine for 2021.

However, the Italian outfit is scheduled to introduce the next generation F4 after dropping the latest hint via social media.

Scheduled to be revealed on June 3rd, the F4 is expected to remain with the same design scheme, chassis and power output but with some revision done to the engine to meet the Euro 5 regulations.

We could also see some new features found on the F3 that will be brought on the F4, such as 6-axis IMU inertial platform, TFT dash with Bluetooth connectivity, and enhanced riding aid, including cornering ABS, lean-sensitive control, and front lift control.

Like its predecessor, the new F4 should be available in three variants, standard, R and RR, with the top-spec should receive Ohlins suspension and Brembo Stylema callipers.

More details on the upcoming F4 to be revealed on June 3rd.

  • sistem quikshifter generasi ketiga
  • platform IMU 6-axis
  • ABS dengan fungsi cornering
  • traction control
  • front lift control
  • paaran TFT 5.5″

MV Agusta F3 is the latest to join the Italian ‘Rosso’ line for 2021, with the supersport motorcycle gain several upgrades.

Like the rest of MV Agusta three-cylinder machine, the F3 received technical and performance updates for 2021 with the aim to heightened riding pleasure on the road.

This time around, the engineers at MV Agusta has redesigned the frame plates to increased the torsional and longitudinal stiffness by improving the swingarm connection that also helps to enhance riding precision.

However, the most significant updates focused on the three-cylinder powerplant with the Euro 5 regulation allows MV Agusta to refined the engine by reducing internal friction.

While the valves remain titanium, MV Agusta upgraded the main bearings, rods and countershaft, including an entirely new exhaust system intending to improve torque and power curves at every speed.

The 798cc continues to deliver 147hp at 13,000rpm and 88Nm of torque at 10,100rpm with a top speed of 240km/h.

The Varese-based company also introduces a new bi-directional flow radiator that helps increased boost efficiency up to 5 per cent.

Other improved features include:

  • 3rd-Gen Quick-Shift EAS 3.0
  • new 6-axis IMU inertial platform
  • Continental ABS with cornering function
  • traction control
  • front lift control
  • 5.5″ TFT display

MV Agusta has unveiled the latest version of the Rush with a revised engine and electronics, including a new colour scheme.

Although the 998cc inline-four engine derived from the Brutale 1000 RR now adheres to Euro 5 regulations, MV Agusta claimed the motorcycle still maintain the same power output of 208hp at 13,000rpm and 116Nm at 11,000rpm.

The hyper naked motorcycle also comes with a new camshaft timing which improves low-end and mid-range torque.

According to MV Agusta, the 2021 Rush also packs with DLC-coated valve guides to reduce friction and improve reliability.

The unique ‘lenticular disc’ rear wheel also remains on the 2021 model, including the round LED headlight and trimmed tail section.

The updated Rush also comes with a jet-inspired paint job that can be paired with an (optional) AGV helmet and a bomber style jacket.

Every purchase of the new Rush also comes with a race kit consisting of an SC exhaust and dedicated racing ECU that will help boost the horsepower to 209hp.

Other exciting features include:

  • 3rd generation EAS 3.0 electronic gearbox
  • Ohlins suspension
  • Brembo Stylema callipers with twin 320mm disc
  • GPS and Bluetooth connectivity
  • 5.5″ TFT display

The 2021 MV Agusta Rush 1000 Limited Edition is priced at EUR38,000 (RM192,400).

After announcing the updated Superveloce range for 2021, MV Agusta now proceeds to unveil the Turismo Veloce sport-touring range, including the Lusso, Lusso SCS, RC SCS, and Rosso.

Spurred primarily to meet Euro 5 emission standard, MV Agusta also updated the overall package of the Turismo Veloce.

The Turismo Veloce maintains the familiar 798cc inline-three with a counter-rotating crank. However, it gets a new intake for better low-end and mid-range power with MV claimed the powerplant now makes 110hp with a 12 per cent increase torque between 3,000-6,000rpm.

According to MV, the gearbox has been revised for lower revs to reduce vibration and optimized fuel consumption.

Not only that, but the Turismo Veloce also gets the same upgrade as the Superveloce with EAS 3.0 quickshifter, DLC-coated valve tappets, sintered valve guides, a redesigned exhaust, and new fuel injectors.

In a move to reduce friction, MV also upgraded the engine with a new crank bearing, new piston rod bearings and countershaft bearing, increasing engine durability and reliability.

To make a point of the new Turismo Veloce capability, MV will attempt the new motorcycle with a 1900km ride within 24 hours, crossing 11 countries, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg, France, Lichtenstein, Austria, Switzerland and Italy.

Other significant updates include:

  • e-Novia 6-axis IMU
  • Cornering ABS and lean-sensitive control
  • 5.5″ TFT display with MV Ride App integration
  • Sachs semi-active suspension (Rosso gets analogue suspension with Marzocchi 43mm
  • fork and Sachs mono-shock)
  • side panniers and a top case as standard on SCS
  • Smart Clutch System (SCS) *available on Lusso SCS and RC SCS

MV Agusta has been a little quiet for the last few years in Malaysia, there were rumours some time ago that the Italian brand will be revived in the local market but it remains to be seen. However, we do hope to check out these beautiful machines up close!

MV Agusta recently launched the Superveloce lineup for 2021, with the new Superveloce S joining the range.

However, the Italian marquee will not stop there; instead, they are planning for another reveal on April 14 with the new 2021 Turismo Veloce.

The middleweight sports tourer was recently teased on the official company website.

The bike will receive a revised 798cc three-cylinder engine to meet Euro 5 standard; hence there will be slight changes to the current 107hp and 80Nm found on the previous model.

Based on the recently launched Superveloce S, the Turismo Veloce may also receive a full-colour TFT display and smartphone connectivity.

Catch all the details on the upcoming Turismo Veloce on April 14.

MV Agusta rolls out the Superveloce range for 2021, consisting of the standard and the new “S” version.

While both the standard and “S” versions come equipped with the same 798cc powerplant, the latter takes attention to detail, characterised by a new white livery, brown Alcantara leather seat, and tubeless spoke wheels.

Engine

For 2021, the major renewal starts from underneath the fairings, the 798cc liquid-cooled DOHC engine now revised with Euro 5 homologation but still pumps out 147hp at 13,000rpm.

The upgrades consist of a new bushing, titanium valves and DLC-coated valve guides that help reduce friction and increase fuel efficiency.

The engineers at Varese also completely redesigned the exhaust system from the manifold to the silencer, all focusing on meeting Euro 5 standards.

Also revised is the control unit, which consists of engine management and control to create a more precise performance.

Electronics

The 2021 Superveloce also received an all-new six-axis IMU inertial platform that reads the motorcycle angle to provide precise and optimum control.

The new IMU also helps to manage front lift control instead of turning it off altogether, making the 2021 Superveloce a more enjoyable bike.

Meanwhile, braking is done by Continental ABS with specific mappings for MV Agusta, which also consist of cornering ABS and traction control.

The Italians also up the ante with a 3rd generation bi-directional Quick-Shift EAS 3.0, which improves the shifting with the help of a new sensor and a new launch control system.

Other major changes:

  • 5.5″ TFT screen
  • MV Ride App connectivity
  • turn by turn navigation functions

Currently, MV Agusta has yet to release official pricing but safe to assume no matter what the price is, a beautiful machine like this won’t take up too much time in the market.

MV Agusta CEO, Timur Sardarov, has confirmed that the company Moto2 entry is a long-term plan to compete in MotoGP in years to come.

Sardarov sees MV Agusta involvement in Moto2 as a foundation in building a good race team to compete in the premier class later this decade.

“For Moto3, we don’t have the bike, MotoGP is the path to take. Our company must first learn in Moto2 then slowly move to MotoGP later this decade,” he said during an interview with GPOne.

However, while MV Agusta is known to produce sports bikes, they currently do not offer a 1,000cc motorcycle after the F4 got axed in 2018 due to Euro 5.

However, Sardarov did suggest that they are currently working on a new platform.

“We are also working on another new engine. It will be unusual, with an architecture that no one else has, and will be dedicated to sports bikes. I’m not saying anymore. We have a lot to do,” he added.

Could we be looking at an all-new F4 in the making? We’ll find out soon enough.

MV Agusta CEO Timur Sardarov revealed that the Italian motorcycle brand would introduce an updated version of the F3.

While the upgrade is mainly to reach the Euro 5 emission standard, we can assume MV will also introduce other features.

“We have done restyling. It will be presented within a month and will be updated to Euro 5,” he said during an interview with GPOne.

The F3 was last updated in 2018 when MV Agusta introduced the F3 800 RC limited to only 350 units that offer an updated engine that had seen the power increase from 148hp to 153hp.

Moreover, Sardarov also revealed that the company is working on a new 950cc 3-cylinder engine.

“We are working on a new 950cc 3-cylinder engine expected to debut at the end of 2022. We will launch the new engine alongside a new Dragster and Brutale.

“It will also be used on the F3 and Superveloce,” he added.
