According to latest reports, Harley-Davidson has been rumoured to make a bid to buy over Ducati from Volkswagen Group.

Volkwagen has been planning to liquidate some of their major assets including Ducati ever since the great emissions scandal back in 2015.

The biddings to purchase Ducati has been set at €1.5 billion (around RM7.2 billion) in which VW will start accepting bids from potential owners starting July.

According to a recent report made by Reuters, the latest high profile name that has been thrown in to bid over as the new owner of Ducati is none other than Harley-Davidson. Ever since Volkswagen Group has been slapped in the face with the emissions cheating drama, they’ve been looking into liquidating some of their assets and Ducati falls in that very list for sale.   • Pusingan WorldSBK yang berikutnya di Litar Laguna Seca yang ikonik akan menyaksikan Jake Gagne, pesaing dalam siri MotoAmerica berusia 24 tahun sebagai pengganti bagi mendiang Nicky Hayden.
  • Gagne yang merupakan bekas juara Red Bull Rookies Cup dan AMA Superstock 1000 telah dipilih oleh Red Bull Honda World Superbike Team kerana pengalaman meluasnya dengan jentera Honda.
  • Pusingan Geico Amerika Syarikat akan diadakan bermula dari 7 hingga 9 Julai 2017 di mana pasukan Red Bull Honda akan bersaing dengan kekuatan penuh bersama Gagne dan Stefan Brandl.

The next WorldSBK round at the iconic Laguna Seca raceway will see Jake Gagne, a 24 year old MotoAmerica competitor as the replacement for the late Nicky Hayden.

Gagne was a former Red Bull Rookies Cup and AMA Superstock 1000 champion has been chosen by the Red Bull Honda World Superbike Team for his already vast experience with Honda machinery.

The Geico US Round will be on 7 to 9 July 2017 where the Red Bull Honda squad will go full force once again with Gagne and Stefan Bradl.

After the recent passing of one of the world’s most respected racers of all time that was Nicky Hayden, the Red Bull Honda outfit currently competing in the FIM Motul Superbike World Championship (WorldSBK) has chosen MotoAmerica rider Jake Gagne as replacement. Current Moto3 championship leader Joan Mir will move up to Moto2 in 2018 to race with the EG 0,0 Marc VDS squad.

Mir and his newly-acquired Moto2 team have signed a three-year agreement to race from 2018 to 2020 in the Moto2 category.

Joan Mir and his current Moto3 Leopard Racing team is leading the championship with three race wins and two podium finishes in the past seven rounds.

The current Moto3 championship leader Joan Mir (Leopard Racing) will get a big promotion for next year after signing an agreement to race in the Moto2 middleweight category together with the EG 0,0 Marc VDS squad for 2018. (more…)

Honda has confirmed that their first production electric scooter will come into existence as early as 2018.

The recent comments made by Honda’s president and CEO Mr Takahira Hachigo, there will be a lot more electric and hybrid motorcycles in the works as part of their effort for the future.

Rumours have also been circulating that their next generation Goldwing will indeed be a hybrid variant powered by a 1,200cc petrol electric engine with an additional electric motor.

According to a recent report made by Visordown, Honda’s President and CEO Mr Takahira Hachigo has finalised all the necessary details to put launch their latest electric-powered scooter for 2018 in an effort to promote more sales and awareness towards electric vehicles worldwide. (more…)

Boon Siew Honda previewed a few exciting bikes yesterday which includes the 2017 Rebel 500, CRF250 Rally and CRF250L.

The new additions were previewed together with a number of reworked models like the NSS300 scooter, CBR250R, the 500cc and 650 ranges.

The three new bikes will be available sometime in August somewhere between the RM25,000 to RM35,000 price range.

During yesterday’s media breaking of fast event held at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC), Boon Siew Honda (BSH) gave the media members a sneak preview on their upcoming new models for 2017. Together with a number of face-lifted models, BSH organised a quick track session with all of the new bikes prior to the breaking of fast which includes the new 2017 Honda Rebel 500, CRF250L and CRF250 Rally. The 2017 Honda MSX 125 is now available in four new exciting colours; Candy Caribbean Blue Sea, Candy Ultimate Pink, Pearl Valentine Red, Lemon Ice Yellow.

The mini bike is powered by a 125cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel injected engine that produces 9.7hp @ 7,000rpm and 11Nm of torque @ 5,250rpm.

Interested in getting one? The asking price for each of these babies is RM11,128.94 (basic price with GST).
