Vespa Unveils The New GTV 300 At EICMA

Vespa has given its iconic scooter, the GTV, a significant makeover for 2023.

Features the Faro Basso headlight design similar to the Sei Giorni.
Equipped with the 300 HPE engine, Vespa’s most powerful powertrain to date.

The GTV has been making waves since 2006 and will continue to do so in the coming years with the new 2023 model year.

Although much of the profile is retained, the GTV clearly received an upgrade to meet modern standards.

The most significant upgrade is the engine which now features the single-cylinder 278cc 300 HPE fuel-injected, liquid-cooled, 4-valve engine that makes 23.8hp on tap.

The GTV is also equipped with ASR electronic traction and ABS as standard.

Similar to other 300 HPE ranges, the GTV also features a fully-digital LCD instrument cluster that displays max speed, average speed, fuel consumption, range and battery charge status.

The instrumentation also incorporates the Vespa MIA connectivity system that allows riders to connect their smartphone to the motorcycle dash.

In terms of styling, the GTV have a lot in common with the Sei Giorni 300 but with an added splash of funky colours. That said, the GTV Faro Basso – low headlight design – accentuates the sportiness of the scooter.

Meanwhile, the GTV features a removable seat cowl cover that matches the colour of the body. When removed, the GTV can comfortably seat two people.

According to Vespa Malaysia, the exclusive Justin Bieber x Vespa is complemented by a wide range of accessories including a bag, pair of glove and an all-white helmet that features Bieber’s unique flames.

It’s widely known that Canadian superstar Justin Bieber is huge fan of motorcycles in general. However, there’s much to be said about his recent collaborative endeavour with Vespa.

Besides it’s ‘monochrome’ all-white aesthetics (including the seat saddle, grips and wheels), what really sets the Justin Bieber x Vespa special apart are the drawn-on flames. “Ultimately the goal in creating and designing is always to put your own unique spin on things”, said Bieber about it.

“I love Vespa, and to partner with such a classic brand is so cool. Being able to express myself, whether it’s through art, music, visuals, or aesthetics, being able to create something from nothing – it’s a part of me,” added the superstar further about his collaborative effort with the Italian scooter marque.

Apart from the design, much of the recently revised Sprint model that this special underpins remains unchanged. Highlights include a multi-function digital TFT full-colour dash display with connectivity features, as well as full-LED lighting amongst the highlights.

That said, the limited edition Justin Bieber x Vespa is priced at RM28,000 and inclusive of Vespa flyscreen and a white top box with backrest.

Vespa Lancar Empat Model GTS Baharu Bagi 2023

Pengeluar skuter Itali, Vespa memperkenalkan empat barisan model GTS bagi tahun 2023.

Empat model GTS tersebut babitkan Vespa GTS, GTS Super, GTS SuperSport dan Vespa GTS SuperTech.

Seperti generasi sebelum ini, GTS SuperTech merupakan varian ‘flagship’ dan dilengkapi dengan segala pakej elektronik moden.

Dua enjin ditawarkan bagi model GTS, yang merangkumi enjin satu silinder i-GET 125cc dan 300 HPE yang menawarkan 23hp.

Meskipun tidak dinyatakan standard emisi bagi kedua-dua enjin ini namun memandangkan enjin terdahulu hanyalah berstatus Euro 4, besar kemungkinan Vespa telah pun menaik taraf kedua-dua enjin dengan standard Euro 5.

Seperti sebelum ini, model 2023 ini mengekalkan rekaan ikonik seperti model terdahulu namun bagi memastikan model ini kekal segar, Vespa menawarkan 14 pilihan warna menarik.

Namun, Vespa telah menaik taraf bahagian ‘swingarm’ agar lebih kukuh dan menawarkan kestabilan lebih baik.

Bukan itu sahaja, tahap keselesaan juga telah dipertingkat dengan tempat duduk yang lebih selesa.

Antara naik taraf lain dilaksanakan termasuk penggunaan sistem tanpa kunci, dan fungsi ‘push start button’.

Antara ciri yang dikekalkan termasuk paparan skrin TFT-LCD dengan fungsi MIA Bluetooth.

Scomadi Enters Japanese Market With The Turismo Technica 125

For the most part, the classic-style retro scooter segment is very much dominated by Vespa.

Scomadi infiltrates the Japanese market with two new scooters.
TT 125 and Turismo 125 offer a unique styling and share the same 125cc engine.

The Vespa brand not only is known for its premium scooter, but the brand is also associated with fashion and culture. Its recent collaboration with Dior and Sean Wotherspoon is solid proof.

While the Vespa brand has established dominance in its segment, it hasn’t stopped other companies from trying to emulate the Italian success.

Scomadi is probably the closest brand you can get your hands on that features a similar Vespa-ish bodywork but with a friendlier price tag.

The British-owned brand initially manufactured its scooters in China by Hanway Motors in 2005 before the company opened a new manufacturing plant in Thailand following its separation from Hanway in 2017.

Scomadi opened a new factory, also in Thailand, in 2020, and the new plant continued the Turismo Technica 125 and Technica 125 production.

However, Scomadi is planning to expand its reach in Asia as the company recently launched the TT 125 and Technica 125 in Japan.

The TT 125 could be a hit among urban riders, considering it offers Vespa-inspired styling. At the same time, the Turismo 125 features a unique design thanks to the exposed bodywork, as if someone cut the body intentionally.

Nonetheless, despite the classic look, both scooters are fitted with two USB chargers and a Type-C outlet too.

Powering the TT 125 and Turismo 125 is a 124.6cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 9.39hp @ 8,000rpm and 9.67Nm @ 7,2000rpm.

Vespa X Justin Bieber Dilancarkan – Skrin TFT, Rim 12-Inci

Vespa dengan rasminya memperkenalkan skuter edisi terhad hasil kerjasama dengan selebriti terkenal, Justin Bieber.

Jenama skuter Itali itu mengumumkan tahun lalu bahawa Bieber menjadi nama terbaru untuk berkerjasama dengan Vespa dalam menghasilkan sebuah skuter khas.

Vespa sebelum ini turut pernah berkolaborasi dengan beberapa jenama dan personaliti terkenal antaranya, Giorgio Armani, Christian Dior dan Sean Wotherspoon.

Menurut Vespa, Bieber X Vespa merupakan model yang unik dan berinspirasi.

Bieber juga merupakan antara peminat jenama itu.

“Kali pertama yang menunggang Vespa adalah di Eropah dan saya ingat lagi sebaik ternampak skuter tersebut di jalan raya, saya terus berhajat memilikinya.

“Pengalaman menunggang Vespa sangat mengujakan, terasa bebas.

“Saya cintakan Vespa dan berupaya berkolaborasi dengan jenama klasik ini sangat menyeronokan,” jelasnya.

Bieber X Vespa tampil dengan pilihan warna serba putih dengan nama Bieber turut dipaparkan di bahagian sisi panel belakang yang dipadankan bersama corak berapi.

Bieber X Vespa ini ditawrakan dalam tiga varian; 50, 125 dan 150cc dan dilengkapi skrin TFT, lampu LED penuh dan rim 12-inci.

Pelangan juga boleh menambah pakej aksesori khas yang merangkumi beg, sarung tangan dan helmet serba putih.

Pra-tempahan bagi Bieber X Vespa ini akan dibuka kepada umum pada 20 April ini.

Piaggio Group Buka Kilang Di Indonesia, Aprilia SR GT 200 Antara Bakal Dihasilkan

Pengeluar motosikal Itali, Piaggio Group memilih Indonesia sebagai destinasi ketiga di rantau Asia untuk membuka kilang pemasangan.

Kilang serba baharu itu dilaporkan akan beroperasi sepenuhnya pada separuh kedua tahun ini.

Menjadikan Jakarta sebagai lokasi pilihan, kilang berkeluasan 55,000 meter itu akan sertai dua kilang lain di Asia, Vin Puch (Vietnam) dan Foshan (China).

Perkembangan terbaru oleh Piaggio Group itu dilihat akan terus mengukuhkan jenama Itali itu bukan sahaja di Asia malah Indonesia yang sebelum ini mencatatkan kenaikan jualan lebih 61 peratus bagi 2021.

Untuk rekod, Piaggio Group mempunyai 50 premis jualan di republik itu di samping empat Motoplex yang terletak di Jakarta, Bali, Surabaya dan Jogjakarta.

Motoplex merupakan pusat pameran yang menawarkan perkhidmatan dan servis serba lengkap bagi jenama Aprilia, Moto Guzzi, Vespa dan Piaggio.

Pemilihan Indonesia sebagai destinasi terbaru adalah satu perangkaan yang relevan susulan negara itu merupakan pasaran global terbesar motosikal selepas India dan China.

Kilang terbaru itu juga akan bertanggungjawab untuk memasang beberapa model terbaru Piaggio Group termasuk skuter ADV, Aprilia SRT 200.

Lihat Stuntman Menarik Pesawat Menggunakan Vespa

Setelah lama tak melihat aksi lagak ngeri “stuntman” dari Austria, Günter Schachermayr, akhirnya beliau telah melakukan aksi baru menaiki Vespa.

Aksi terakhir kami melihatnya, beliau menuruni cerobong Slovakia dengan Vespa, dan kali ini beliau tarik pesawat pula menggunakan Vespa!

Dalam video di bawah ini, Schachermayr menggunakan Vespa oren sebagai tunda pesawat di landasan. Pesawat yang dimaksudkan bukanlah pesawat penumpang besar, tetapi Cessna kecil yang lebih ringan, tetapi masih besar juga kalau banding dengan Vespa itu.

Terdapat lebih banyak lagiyang diperlukan untuk aksi ini daripada sekadar memasang tali tunda antara Vespa biasa dan pesawat.

Walaupun pesawat itu lebih ringan jika dibandingkan dengan pesawat lain, ia pasti tetap sukar, kerana enjin skuter menggerakkan roda belakang, dan berat penunggang juga terletak di atas roda belakang.

Perkara ini pada dasarnya bermakna bahawa Schachermayr akan perlu menaikkan roda hadapannya sepanjang masa tidak kira apa pun, jadi kenapa perlu roda hadapan kalau tak digunakan?

Nampaknya itulah yang beliau lakukan, dan walaupun ini sebahagian dari aspek pertunjukan, ketiadaan roda hadapan juga membantu imbangan yang diperlukan untuk melaksanakan aksi ini dengan jayanya.

Hasil akhir yang anda boleh lihat dalam video ini, walaupun tidak berapa pantas, dipenuhi dengan Schachermayr yang sentiasa mengalihkan kakinya untuk mengekalkan keseimbangan yang baik sambil terus menarik pesawat itu atas Vespa monowheelnya ini.
