Current Aprilia MotoGP factory rider Sam Lowes is said to have signed a contract that will see him return to the Moto2 intermediate class in 2018.

Lowes will race with the CarXpert Interwetten Moto2 outfit after coming to an agreement during the British GP this past weekend.

Current CarXpert Interwetten rider Thomas Lüthi will move up to MotoGP next year to join the Marc VDS squad with Franco Morbidelli.

With all the 2018 MotoGP seats getting filled up, it seems that current Aprilia Racing Team Gresini rider Sam Lowes has confirmed that he’ll be rejoining the Moto2 intermediate class for the upcoming season. (more…)

Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati Team) has taken his fourth MotoGP win in yesterday’s British GP held at the Silverstone circuit.

Maverick Vinales (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP) and his soft rear tyre gamble paid off after crossing the finish line in second place ahead of his team mate, Valentino Rossi who finished in third.

Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda) suffered a major engine failure which not only caused him the race but also the championship lead which has now been taken over by Dovizioso with a 9-point advantage.

It was yet another unbelievable Sunday race in yesterday’s British GP where Andrea Dovizioso of Ducati not only won the race but took over the championship lead from Repsol Honda rider, Marc Marquez. The unexpected turn took place at the iconic Silverstone circuit. (more…)

Rumours coupled with trusted sources have confirmed a turbocharged Suzuki Hayabusa coming in 2019.

Suzuki will be celebrating the Hayabusa’s 20th anniversary in 2019 but since then its debut in 1999, it has yet to gone through any major changes.

Expect to see more than one turbocharged Suzuki bike in 2019 with the possibility of Suzuki revamping its entire GSX-R line up.

According a recent article published by Asphalt and Rubber, it was stated that the great folks from Suzuki has major plans to develop a turbocharged Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa for 2019. (more…)

This weekend’s MotoGP race in Silverstone will see a new flag-to-flag bike swap procedure being tested due to safety concerns.

The Safety Commission and Race Direction decided to test a new system where riders who want to swap bikes will need to come in front of their paddocks at a 45-degree angle inwards with the second bike ready pointing outwards at the same angle.

An additional mechanic will be in the pit lane with a Formula 1-style lollipop stick who will stand in front of the second bike to signal the rider when it is safe to re-enter the pit lane.

This weekend’s MotoGP race will see a brand new flag-to-flag bike swap procedure being tested by the Safety Commission for the British GP in Silverstone. The call towards a newer and safer system to swap race bikes in the pit lane during flag-to-flag races have been put forward by Race Direction after riders couldn’t come to an agreement following a meeting after the race in Brno. Belgian-based motoring media MaxxMoto has released a video of what seems to be the new Ducati V4 superbike doing some runs in a test track.

The upcoming V4-powered Ducati production superbike carries a soundtrack similar to the Ducati Desmosedici GP bike or even the Honda RC213V.

It can also be assumed that the new Ducati will be using the “big bang” engine firing sequence which carries a very unique riding experience compared to usual V4 engine configurations.

A recent report released by Belgian-based motoring media MaxxMoto shows that they have been keeping a very close eye on the upcoming Ducati V4 superbike. In their latest video, it seems that they’ve managed to catch a glimpse of the four-cylinder Ducati Panigale replacement ripping through the test track. (more…)

The Marc VDS Racing Team has chosen Thomas Lüthi as their second MotoGP rider for the 2018 season.

The 30 year old Swiss will graduate to MotoGP next season together with his current rival in Moto2, Franco Morbidelli.

Both Lüthi and Morbidelli are on top of the Moto2 2017 world standings with just 26 points separating the two riders.

The Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS team has finally completed their 2018 MotoGP rider line-up with the latest signing of current Moto2 rider, Thomas Lüthi. The 2018 MotoGP season will see Thomas Lüthi teaming up with another rookie, Franco Morbidelli, who’s currently leading the 2017 Moto2 championship. (more…)

Following the recent 2018 Softail launch, Harley-Davidson also introduced three new 2018 CVO models; the CVO Street Glide, CVO Road Glide and CVO Limited.

The new CVO models come with H-D’s biggest engine yet; a brand new 117 cubic inch (1,923cc) engine that produces over 165Nm of torque.

H-D also introduced four new ‘Special’ models as well which are the Street Glide Special, Road Glide Special and two 115th anniversary models; 115th Street Glide and 115th Ultra Limited.

The biggest and most badass Harley-Davidson CVO (Custom Vehicle Operations) has been launched together with the other EIGHT brand new 2018 Softails which were unveiled yesterday in a major worldwide showcase. The latest teaser video posted by Yamaha Motors Europe entitled “Your adventure awaits” has got everyone excited with rumours that the Yamaha T7 Concept will go into production.

Introduced last year during the EICMA Milan show, the T7 Concept gained a lot of attention and praise with its futuristic yet rugged lines ready to conquer any terrain.

The fully-function concept bike has made a few appearances but on 6 September 2017, it might make its official appearance as Yamaha’s latest production middleweight dual-sport bike.

The world was super excited when Yamaha launched the futuristic T7 Concept last November during the EICMA show in Milan, Italy. Looks like the chance of the Yamaha T7 remaining a concept is slowly dissipating with the manufacturer’s latest teaser video for a brand new adventure two-wheeler. (more…)

Both seats on the Pull&Bear Aspar Team for 2018 after the announcement of Karel Abraham signing for yet another season with the MotoGP squad.

The return of Abraham back on the MotoGP grid so far has been quite positive with constant top 10 finishes and even a front row start from the 27 year old from Czech Republic.

Abraham will continue his MotoGP efforts next season alongside his current Spanish team mate, Alvaro Bautista.

After the recent breaking news of Takaaki Nakagami moving up to MotoGP next season as the second LCR Honda rider after signing a contract with HRC, another seat has been filled for 2018. Karel Abraham has been confirmed to continue riding for the Pull&Bear Aspar Team for yet another season. (more…)

Motonation 2017 has signed a collaboration with TERAJU SUPERB program by organising the SUPERB Walk-In Bizpitch @ Motonation 2017 competition.

A total of RM3 million will be distributed to selected business owners in the motoring industry to assist emerging individuals in the automotive industry to grow into successful businesses.

The walk in business proposal selection will start this weekend during the Motoring Art Festival (26 August 2017) and it will continue throughout the road show period in six different locations.
