Benelli telah pun memfailkan tanda nama TRK 702 sekitar April lalu sekaligus mengesahkan kedatangan motosikal ‘adventure’ yang lebih besar selain TRK 502.

Memasuki bulan Ogos, jenama motosikal Itali-China itu dengan rasminya melancarkan Benelli TRK 702 di China. 

Seperti TRK 502 yang mencapai status selaku motosikal paling popular di Itali, Benelli mengharapkan TRK 702 juga mampu melakukan pencapaian sama. 

Oleh sebab itu, Benelli akan turut memperkenalkan TRK 702 di pasaran Eropah. Menariknya, model tersebut hanya akan membawa lencana Benelli dan tidak akan dijenamakan sebagai QJMotor di pasaran lain. 

Perbezaan ketara antara TRK 702 dan TRK 502 adalah di bahagian enjin, apabila model ADV lebih besar itu dihidupkan platform parallel-twin 693cc serba baharu yang dibangunkan Benelli. Enjin tersebut menghasilkan 75hp pada 8,500rpm dan 68.2Nm pada 6,250rpm.

Seperti kebiasaan, motosikal serba baharu itu juga tampil dalam dua varian, TRK 702 (standard) dan TRK 702 X yang menampilkan penggunaan rim spoke (lidi) dan saiz tayar berbeza.

Versi standard datang dengan rim 17-inci yang dipadankan dengan tayar 120/70 depan dan 160/70 belakang manakala versi ‘X’ pula dilengkapi tayar 19” depan dan 17” belakang di samping dilengkapi tayar ‘dual-purpose’. 

Antara ciri lain ditawarkan temasuk:

  • ABS dwi-saluran
  • paparan meter LCD digital
  • grip dengan fungsi pemanas
  • tempat duduk dengan fungsi pemanas

Menariknya, Benelli turut melengkapkan TRK 702 dengan kamera HD yang diletakkan di bahagian bawah lampu hadapan. Kamera tersebut bertindak seperti ‘dashcam’ yang bertujuan merakam perjalanan sewaktu menunggang.

Seorang anggota polis disahkan maut selepas motosikal berkuasa tinggi yang ditunggangnya merempuh sebuah kereta dalam satu kejadian di KM 2, Jalan Batang Kali-Genting Highlands, semalam.

Anggota polis tersebut menunggang motosikal jenis Benelli TNT600 sewaktu kejadian yang berlaku sekitar jam 9.30 pagi.

Mangsa disahkan sebagia Koperal Zarif Affandi, 31, bertugas di Balai Polis Petaling Jaya.

Sementara itu, Ketua Polis Daerah Hulu Selangor, Superitendan Arsad Kamaruddin mengesahkan motosikal mangsa telah merempuh sebuah kereta jenis BMW.

“Kemalangan dipercayai berlaku semasa anggota polis tersebut menunggang motosikal dari Petaling Jaya menuju Genting Highlands.

“Sebaik tiba di tempat kejadian yang merupakan selekoh tajam, motosikal mangsa telah masuk ke laluan bertentangan lalu merempuh kereta BMW yang datang dari arah tersebut,” jelasnya.

Mangsa disahkan meninggal di tempat kejadian setelah mengalami pendarahan dalaman sementara pemandu BMW berusia 63 tahun tidak mengalami kecederaan.

Sementara itu, insiden kemalangan tersebut turut dirakam dan tular di media sosial.

Chinese motorcycle brand is growing, and despite the negative stigma, companies like QJ Motor and CFMoto are doing pretty well in their native country and also in Europe.

  • PFMoto set to become Geely’s third motorcycle company after QJMotor and Benelli.
  • To be position as Geely’s most high-end motorcycle brand.

A Chinese-owned company like Benelli is doing really well in Italy, with the TRK 502 emerging as the country’s best-selling bike.

CFMoto is also a surprise package, with the 800MT receiving good reviews from industry players thanks to its partnership with KTM.

The 700CL-X Heritage, Sport and the upcoming ADV also showcased top-quality components paired with a reliable – Kawasaki-sourced – 649cc parallel-twin engine.

However, there is a new player in town set to emerge on August 16. Chinese automotive giant Geely Group is scheduled to introduce PFMoto.

Presently, Geely already has Benelli and QJMotor under its wing, but PFMoto could position itself as a high-end motorcycle brand.

While not much detail is revealed, the report suggests that PFMoto could introduce a high-capacity touring motorcycle soon after its official introduction.

Based on a rendered photo, PFMoto is currently working on a grand-tourer motorcycle called the Starship 3.

Spurred by the huge success of the affordable Benelli TRK502 and TRK502X in Europe, the Chinese-owned Italian brand is set to expand the TRK range with an upcoming TRK702, soon.

  • the Benelli TRK702 will feature a bigger 23L tank and built-in front and rear camera (dashcam).
  • powered by Kawasaki-sourced 693cc two-cylinder engine. 

After officially unveiled the TRK800 at EICMA last year, the Benelli is now working on a brand new TRK702.

While the TRK502 is an adventure touring motorcycle with light off-roading capabilites and the TRK800 is pitched as a sports tourer (despite the 19-inch wire spoked wheels option), Benelli plans to placed the TRK702 as a more off-road focused two wheeler.

This is supported by a latest patent leaked in China that showcased an upcoming 700cc motorcycle.

In a glance, the patent could be mistaken as the TRK800 but further observation notice a different engine layout.

Also the tank is larger (23L), which could means that the TRK702 is following the same trend set by the new Yamaha Tenere 700 World Raid.

However, the patent also revealed something a lot more exciting. The TRK702 will feature front and rear cameras, which essentially means that the motorcycle is fitted with built-in dashcam.

While the bike’s development is still in an early stage, Benelli might display the concept model at this year’s EICMA show.

Benelli is making great strides in 2022, with over 8,522 new motorcycles registered in Italy.

  • The TRK 502 is the brand’s most famous motorcycle, with more than 4,000 units registered in Italy in 2022.

According to the company, the sales projection marks a six per cent increase compared to last year’s period.

For a company that Chinese-based QJ Motors own, the numbers certainly seem that Italian riders are satisfied with the brand.

Thanks to the trust, Benelli became the best-selling motorcycle brand in Italy for the first six months of 2022.

Moreover, for a brand that has to compete with big players like Ducati and Aprilia, becoming the best-selling motorcycle brand in Italy is a historical moment.

While some might question the authenticity of Benelli as an Italian brand, the reality is that plenty of companies are financed by other firms that is based elsewhere.

Considering Benelli is making great strides in terms of sales in Italy; clearly Italians are in love with the brand.

Interestingly, the TRK 502 has played a pivotal role in Benelli’s 2022 success so far. Out of the total, Benelli sold 4,436 units of the TRK 502 in the first six months of 2022.

“Today, we are facing a historic result. An extraordinary milestone, achieved thanks to the incredible commitment, passion and determination of all those who are part of this company,” said Benelli Italia sales manager Gianni Monini.

Chinese motorcycle manufacturer QJ Motor has updated its 600RR sportbike for 2022, which includes a revised engine and a redesigned bodywork.

  • the QJ Motor 600RR runs on the same 4-cylinder engine found on the Benelli TNT600.

  • gets extra horsepower and torque thanks to new revised exhaust system. 

Launched in 2020 as the company’s first four-cylinder sportbike, the 600RR is built from the foundations of the Benelli TNT600i.

Right off the bat, the 2022 600RR features a redesigned front fascia that looks eerily similar to the Ducati Panigale including the addition of a carbon winglet. While it may look mainly for aesthetic purposes, QJ Motor claimed it adds around 6 kilograms of downforce when travelling at 150km/h.

QJ Motor also managed to shed two kilograms of weight, reducing the wet weight to 213kg.

The 600RR also gained a bigger 18L fuel tank for an extra range, making it ideal for daily commuting and the occasional track days.

Meanwhile, the bike’s rear also gets a sharper tail section making the side profile look sportier then the previous generation.

Although no changes to the chassis, the four-cylinder engine now receives an extra power and torque boost thanks to a newly revised exhaust system.

As such the mill now pumps out 87.2hp @ 11,500rpm and 56Nm @ 10,500rpm.

Nonetheless, other specifications remain the same as the 600RR still runs with a non-adjustable USD KYB front fork and preload-adjustable mono-shock at the rear. While the suspension is relatively low spec, the braking aspect is rather good, with twin 4-piston radially mounted Brembo callipers at the front paired toa radial master cylinder.

Other electronic features include:

  • ABS
  •  traction control
  • riding modes
  • quick shifter (upshift only)
  • TFT display
  • USB C port

Benelli telah melaksanakan beberapa naik taraf terbaru bagi motosikal popular, TRK 502 X.

Menurut laporan, TRK 502 X kini dilengkapi dengan ‘swingarm’ aluminium serta skrin TFT.

Bukan itu sahaja, model 2022 juga menyaksikan pertambahan ciri sensor tekanan tayar dan ‘heated grips’.

Bagaimanapun, naik taraf paling mencuri tumpuan terarah kepada bahagian ‘swingarm’ dengan Benelli mendakwa penggunaan bahan aluminium menyaksikan berat berjaya dikurangkan sebanyak 3.5kg.

Namun, bahagian nadi kekal sama dengan TRK 502 X digerakan enjin parallel-twin 500cc yang menjana 47.6hp dan 46Nm.

Selain enjin, reka bentuk TRK 502 X juga dikekalkan kecuali beberapa pertambahan warna baharu.

Selepas kejayaan memperkenalkan QJMotor SRK600 baru-baru ini, MForce Bike Holdings terus memperkembangkan jenama QJMotor di pasaran negara menerusi SRT800.

QJMotor SRT800 merupakan motosikal segmen ‘adventure tourer’ yang diperkenalkan untuk pasaran Malaysia dengan harga bermula dari RM38,888 bagi varian standard dan RM42,888 bagi varian X.

Dikuasakan enjin parallel-twin 754cc DOHC, motosikal ini menawarkan 75.1hp pada 8,000rpm dan 67Nm pada 6,5000rpm dengan kuasa disalurkan ke tayar belakang menerusi transmisi 6-kelajuan.

Antara ciri ditawarkan SRT800 dan SRT800X adalah seperti berikut:

  • fork depan USD boleh laras
  • penyerap hentakan belakang jenis ‘shock linkage’ boleh laras
  • cakera brek 320mm depan dan 260mm belakang
  • kaliper brek Brembo
  • Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) dwi-saluran
  • klac Assist & Slipper

Selain daripada itu, QJMotor SRT800 juga didatangkan dengan ciri elektronik lain antaranya paparan skrin TFT berwarna serta pengecas USB.

Sebagai sebuah motosikal ADV, kedua-dua varian menawarkan tangki 18.5L sekaligus menjanjikan tunggangan jarak jauh.

Bagaimanapun, perbezaan ketara bagi kedua-dua varian menyaksikan SRT800X didatangkan dengan rim jenis spoke 19-inci depan (rim aloi 17″ pada varian Standard), luggage (top box dan panniers) serta ketinggian tempat duduk pada 835mm (berbanding 810mm pada Standard).

Menurut MForce, SRT800X didatangkan dengan pilihan warna Navy Blue dan Cadmium Green manakala varian standard menawarkan warna Stone Grey dan Passion Red.

Orang ramai yang berminat sudah boleh membuat tempahan di pengedar sah MForce seluruh negara dengan motosikal tersebut akan mula dipasarkan pada pertengahan Julai ini.

Selepas Zhejiang Qianjiang memfailkan paten motosikal ‘adventure’ pada Oktober tahun lalu, pengeluar motosikal China itu akhirnya memaparkan rupa sebenar QJ650 di China.

Imej QJ650 tersebut didedahkan menerusi permohonan paten terbaru yang difailkan di China yang turut mendedahkan beberapa info penting mengenai model terbaru itu.

Berdasarkan laporan sebelum ini, QJMotor QJ650 disahkan akan dikuasakan enjin V-Twin 649cc. Menariknya, dokumen kali ini mendedahkan bahawa QJ650 tersebut akan menawarkan sekitar 75hp dan mampu mencapai kelajuan maksima sehingga 185km/j.

Terdapat dua dokumen difailkan dan mendedahkan QJ650 akan tampil dengan dua varian, dengan varian tertinggi menampilkan ciri ADV yang lebih ketara terutamanya dengan kelengkapan rim jenis lidi (spoke) serta ‘top box’ dan ‘panniers’.

Dokumen tersebut memaklumkan bahawa varian Standard adalah seberat 219 kilogram manakala varian ADV adalah 19kg lebih berat (238kg).

Walaupun spesifikasi lebih terperinci tidak didedahkan namun setakat ini QJ650 tersebut menawarkan ciri berikut:

  • panjang 2340mm
  • lebar 950mm
  • tinggi 1380mm
  • ‘wheelbase’ 1520mm
  • tayar 110/80-19 depan
  • tayar 150/70-17 belakang

QJMotor turut mendedahkan bahawa QJ650 serba baharu ini juga dilengkapi dengan ABS.

Buat masa ini tidak dapat dipastikan bilakah QJMotor merancang untuk memperkenalkan model ADV serba baharu ini namun dijangkakan QJ650 ini akan dilancarkan lewat tahun ini.
