MotoGP is one of the biggest events and attractions in Malaysia. Among the facilities provided were free vehicle parking areas connected by shuttle buses. However, the management of the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit (SIC) has now announced that free parking has been abolished for the 2025 Malaysian MotoGP.

Consequently, a new parking fee of RM20 for cars and RM10 for motorcycles will be levied, only once throughout the race week. The organizers said this increase is due to rising organizing costs, as well as for managing traffic control and improving the vehicle parking areas.

SIC also advised spectators to park their vehicles only in the designated areas. Vehicles parked outside the official areas risk actions such as fines or being towed.

This change has sparked various reactions from fans who were accustomed to the free parking facility. Some understand why the measure is being implementd, while at the same time, there are those who have expressed dissatisfaction because it signifies an increase in the already high cost of attending the Malaysian MotoGP.

MotoGP merupakan antara acara dan tarikan terbesar di Malaysia. Antara kemudahan yang disediakan ialah kawasan parkir kenderaan percuma dan dihubungkan oleh bas pengantara. Namun, kini pihak pengurusan Litar Antarabangsa Sepang PETRONAS (Sepang International Circuit/SIC) memaklumkan bahawa parkir percuma telah dimansuhkan untuk MotoGP Malaysia 2025.

Dengan ini, caj parkir baharu sebanyak RM20 untuk kereta dan RM10 untuk motosikal akan dikenakan, setiap kali masuk sepangjang minggu perlumbaan akan dikenakan. Pihak penganjur berkata peningkatan ini menandangkan caj penganjuran yang bertambah, serta bagi mengurus kawalan trafik dan menambah baik kawasan-kawasan parkir kenderaan.

Pihak SIC turut menasihatkan penonton agar meletakkan kenderaan hanya di kawasan yang  diwartakan. Kenderaan yang diletakkan di luar kawasan rasmi berisiko dikenakan tindakan seperti saman atau ditunda.

Perubahan ini telah mengundang pelbagai reaksi daripada peminat yang sudah terbiasa dengan kemudahan parkir percuma. Ada yang memahami kenapa langkah tersebut dijalankan, dan pada masa yang sama juga terdapat mereka yang meluahkan rasa tidak puas hati kerana ia menandakan pertambahan kos mengunjungi MotoGP Malaysia yang sudah agak tinggi.

The JDT Racing Team and Honda Racing Malaysia team have taken a professional approach by not prolonging the incident involving the two national riders, Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah and Md Zaqhwan Zaidi, during Race 2 of the ASB1000 category in the Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) yesterday.

In an official statement, Hafizh’s team informed that the incident has been thoroughly reviewed by the ARRC organizers, and appropriate penalties have been imposed according to the championship regulations.

“The incident was classified as unintentional, stemming from an intense and competitive racing atmosphere, an element that is common in the world of motorsports,” the statement said.

According to JDT Racing Team, both teams – JDT Racing and Honda Racing Malaysia – have resolved the matter amicably, thereby upholding the principles of mutual respect and professionalism between the riders and the teams.

“Integrity and sportsmanship remain our top priorities. We will continue to work closely with the organizers to ensure the highest standards are upheld at all times,” the statement added.

Meanwhile, Honda Racing Malaysia announced that they have suspended team crew member for “improper behaviour” regarding the incident. The team also emphasized the importance of professional values and conduct within the team.

Pasukan JDT Racing Team dan pasukan Honda Racing Malaysia mengambil pendekatan profesional dengan tidak memanjangkan insiden kemalangan membabitkan dua pelumba negara, Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah dan Md Zaqhwan Zaidi, ketika Perlumbaan 2 kategori ASB1000 dalam Kejuaraan Motosikal Asia (ARRC) di Litar Antarabangsa Sepang (SIC), semalam.

Dalam satu kenyataan rasmi, pasukan yang disertai Hafizh itu memaklumkan bahawa insiden berkenaan diteliti sepenuhnya oleh pihak penganjur ARRC, dan penalti sewajarnya sudah pun dikenakan mengikut peraturan kejohanan.

“Insiden itu diklasifikasikan sebagai tidak disengajakan, berpunca daripada suasana perlumbaan yang sengit dan kompetitif, satu elemen yang lazim dalam dunia sukan permotoran,” kata kenyataan itu.

Menurut JDT Racing Team, kedua-dua pasukan – JDT Racing dan Honda Racing Malaysia sudah menyelesaikan perkara itu secara baik, sekali gus mengekalkan prinsip saling menghormati dan profesionalisme antara pelumba serta pasukan.

“Integriti dan semangat kesukanan kekal sebagai keutamaan kami. Kami akan terus bekerjasama rapat dengan penganjur untuk memastikan piawaian tertinggi ditegakkan pada setiap masa,” tambah kenyataan itu.

Sementara itu, Honda Racing Malaysia memaklumkan bahawa mereka telah menggantung tugas kru pasukan yang telah “bertingkah laku tidak senonoh” berhubung insiden tersebut. Pasukan itu turut menekankan kepentingan nilai serta tingkah laku yang profesional yang di dalam pasukan ini.

The Kedah Police disposed of 1,385 modified and confiscated motorcycle accessories valued at RM131,000 from 2024 until last month.

Kedah Police Chief Datuk Adzli Abu Shah said all the disposed components included modified exhausts, additional accessories not meeting specifications, and other components categorized as unsafe for use on the road.

“This disposal involved 546 exhausts, 574 swing arms, 15 carburetors, three Electronic Control Units (ECUs), 109 fork units, and 138 other items after receiving instructions from the magistrate under Section 407 of the Criminal Procedure Code, using a road roller for the disposal method.

“All these motorcycle accessories were confiscated and seized under Section 64(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

“There are many more seized items awaiting court instructions for disposal,” he said in a statement today.

Adzli said the police had previously made seizures of 21,811 modified motorcycle components that did not comply with specifications, with the largest quantity being exhausts, totaling 9,575 units.

According to him, owners can reclaim their seized motorcycles within 24 hours, provided they reinstall the original accessories.

Polis Kedah melupuskan 1,385 aksesori motosikal yang diubah suai dan dirampas bernilai RM131,000 sejak 2024 hingga bulan lalu.

Ketua Polis Kedah Datuk Adzli Abu Shah berkata, semua komponen dilupuskan itu merangkumi ekzos diubah suai, aksesori tambahan tidak mengikut spesifikasi dan komponen lain yang dikategorikan tidak selamat untuk digunakan di jalan raya.

“Pelupusan ini membabitkan 546 unit ekzos, 574 unit lengan ayun, 15 unit karburetor, tiga Unit Kawalan Elektronik (ECU), 109 unit fork dan 138 unit lain-lain item selepas mendapat arahan dari majistret di bawah Seksyen 407 Kanun Prosedur Jenayah dengan kaedah pelupusan menggunakan jentera penggelek jalan.

“Kesemua aksesori motosikal ini dirampas dan disita di bawah Seksyen 64(1) Akta Pengangkutan Jalan 1987.

“Terdapat banyak lagi barang dirampas yang menunggu arahan mahkamah untuk dilupuskan,” katanya dalam kenyataan, hari ini.

Adzli berkata, polis sebelum ini membuat sitaan terhadap 21,811 komponen motosikal yang diubah suai dengan tidak mengikut spesifikasi dengan barangan terbanyak adalah ekzos sebanyak 9,575 unit.

Menurutnya, pemilik boleh menuntut semula motosikal yang disita dalam tempoh 24 jam dengan syarat mereka memasang semula aksesori asal.

A total of 2.67 million vehicles are expected to use the main highways on peak days during the Deepavali celebration on this October 20th, according to the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM).

In its statement today, LLM informed that 2.2 million vehicles are expected to use the highways under PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS), while the KL-Karak Highway is expected to record 170,000 vehicles, the East Coast Expressway Phase 1 (90,000), the East Coast Expressway Phase 2 (40,000) and the West Coast Expressway (170,000).

“LLM anticipates an increase in traffic on the main highways as early as Thursday, October 16th, for users heading towards the North, South, and East Coast,” it said.

In facing the traffic increase, LLM has directed all highway concession companies to make thorough preparations to ensure highway users’ journeys are safe and smooth.

Among the measures taken include ensuring no lane closures from October 17th to 23rd except for emergency work, activating the ‘smart lane’ routes at 29 identified locations on the North-South Expressway (PLUS), and ensuring the toll collection system functions well to prevent congestion at toll plazas.

LLM also welcomed the announcement by the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, during the tabling of the 2026 Budget yesterday regarding the granting of a 50 percent toll discount in conjunction with the Deepavali celebration.

Sebanyak 2.67 juta kenderaan dijangka menggunakan lebuh raya utama pada hari-hari puncak ketika sambutan Deepavali pada 20 Oktober ini, menurut Lembaga Lebuhraya Malaysia (LLM).

LLM dalam kenyataannya hari ini memaklumkan 2.2 juta kenderaan dijangka menggunakan lebuh raya di bawah PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS), manakala Lebuhraya KL-Karak dijangka mencatatkan 170,000 kenderaan, Lebuhraya Pantai Timur Fasa 1 (90,000), Lebuhraya Pantai Timur Fasa 2 (40,000) dan Lebuhraya Persisiran Pantai Barat (170,000).

“LLM menjangkakan peningkatan trafik di lebuh raya utama seawal Khamis, 16 Oktober bagi pengguna yang menuju ke arah Utara, Selatan dan Pantai Timur,” katanya.

Bagi mendepani peningkatan trafik, LLM mengarahkan kesemua syarikat konsesi lebuh raya untuk melakukan persediaan rapi agar perjalanan pengguna lebuh raya adalah selamat dan lancar.

Antara langkah diambil termasuk memastikan tiada penutupan lorong bermula 17 hingga 23 Oktober kecuali bagi kerja kecemasan, mengaktifkan laluan ‘smart lane’ di 29 lokasi yang dikenal pasti di Lebuhraya Utara-Selatan (PLUS), serta memastikan sistem kutipan tol berfungsi dengan baik bagi mengelakkan kesesakan di plaza tol.

LLM turut menyambut baik pengumuman Perdana Menteri, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim semasa pembentangan Belanjawan 2026 semalam mengenai pemberian diskaun tol sebanyak 50 peratus sempena sambutan Deepavali.

Traffic diversions will begin in stages from 23 October to ensure the smooth running of the 47th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits, which will take place at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) from October 26 to 28, 2025.

The Director of the Royal Malaysia Police’s (PDRM) Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT), Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri, said that the initial traffic management planning so far involves motorcycle convoy rehearsal activities.

He said this will be carried out from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) to hotels around Kuala Lumpur and to KLCC on October 23 and 24.

“Temporary traffic diversions will be implemented along the highways and main roads connecting KLIA to the capital city and the areas around KLCC.

“Meanwhile, the full deployment of JSPT personnel will begin from October 25 to 28 (the duration of the conferences) with the implementation of staged road diversions. This will involve the area within approximately one kilometer (km) of KLCC,” he said in a statement today.

He said that road diversions and traffic dispersal are necessary to ensure the smooth movement of delegates and the safety of all parties throughout the event.

He said that further information regarding the affected routes, specific diversion plans, and the full diversion schedule will be announced in the near future.

“The public is requested to give their full cooperation to the authorities and to support the government’s efforts in making this summit a success, thereby enhancing the nation’s prestige on the international stage,” he said.

Lencongan trafik secara berperingkat bermula 23 Oktober ini bagi kelancaran Sidang Kemuncak ASEAN Ke-47 dan Sidang Kemuncak Berkaitan yang berlangsung di Pusat Konvensyen Kuala Lumpur (KLCC) dari 26 ke 28 Oktober 2025.

Pengarah Jabatan Siasatan dan Penguatkuasaan Trafik (JSPT) Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM), Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri berkata, setakat ini perancangan pengurusan trafik awal membabitkan aktiviti raptai pergerakan motoked.

Katanya, ia akan dijalankan dari Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Kuala Lumpur (KLIA) ke hotel sekitar Kuala Lumpur dan ke KLCC pada 23 hingga 24 Oktober ini.

“Lencongan trafik sementara akan dilaksanakan di sepanjang lebuh daya dan jalan utama yang menghubungkan KLIA ke ibu negara serta kawasan sekitar KLCC.

“Manakala penugasan penuh anggota JSPT bermula pada 25 hingga 28 Oktober ini (tempoh berlangsung persidangan) dengan pelaksanaan lencongan jalan raya raya berperingkat akan dilakukan. Ia akan membabitkan kawasan sekitar satu kilometer (km) dari KLCC,” katanya dalam kenyataan, hari ini.

Beliau berkata, lencongan jalan dan penyuraian trafik perlu dilakukan demi memastikan kelancaran pergerakan delegasi dan keselamatan semua pihak sepanjang acara berkenaan.

Katanya, maklumat lanjut mengenai laluan yang akan terbabit, pelan lencongan jalan tertentu dan jadual masa penuh lencongan akan dimaklumkan melalui hebahan dalam masa terdekat.

“Orang ramai diminta memberi kerjasama penuh kepada pihak berkuasa dan menyokong usaha kerajaan dalam menjayakan sidang kemuncak ini sekali gus meningkatkan martabat negara di persada antarabangsa,” katanya.

Selepas mendedahkan Honda CB1000F sebagai sebuah konsep semasa lumba*an Suzuka 8 Hour pada bulan Ogos, mereka kini mendedahkan produk yang sudah siap.

CB1000F adalah model terkini dalam sejarah keluarga CB yang berusia 65 tahun. Tetapi lebih khusus, CB1000F menyerupai model CB750F/CB900F dari era 80-an. Lebih signifikan lagi, ia menyerupai motosikal yang ditunggang oleh Freddie Spencer untuk meraih kemenangan di Daytona, sebelum beliau meneruskan kerjaya sebagai juara dunia 500cc.

Seperti yang kami sebutkan sebelum ini, ia berdasarkan platform CB1000, yang kini telah berkembang kepada tiga varian, iaitu CB1000R (Neo Cafe roadster), CB1000/Hornet (naked), dan kini CB1000F.

Oleh itu, ketiga-tiga motosikal ini berkongsi beberapa ciri dan seni bina asas yang sama.

Ciri-ciri utama
  • Enjin 1000cc inline-empat, tetapi ditala semula untuk menghasilkan 122 hp pada 9,000 RPM dan 103 Nm pada 8,000 RPM, berbanding dengan 155 hp @ 11,000 RPM dan 107 Nm pada 9,000 RPM untuk dua varian lain.
  • Jelas di sini bahawa motosikal ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengalaman menunggang harian yang lebih mudah didekati, berbanding untuk kelajuan maksimum di jalanan.
  • Honda menyatakan ia “dibangunkan di bawah sasaran konsep untuk mencipta ‘Roadster Terseimbang Terbaik’. CB1000F mengendali seperti motosikal kelas pertengahan tetapi dengan rasa motosikal besar. Dan, dengan era 80-an kini terbukti sebagai dekad yang sangat berpengaruh dalam pakaian, muzik, gaya dan lain-lain, CB1000F sememangnya sebuah motosikal yang sesuai untuk masa kini.”

  • Bagi mencapai matlamat ini, Honda mengubah suai sesondol, serta memanjangkan corong pengambilan udara daripada 50 mm kepada 140 mm, dengan diameter minimum 36 mm.
  • Sistem ekzos mempunyai susunan 4-2-1 yang sama tetapi gas keluar melalui peredam megafon tiga ruang.
  • Suspensi hadapan terdiri daripada fork Showa SFF-BP USD 41mm yang boleh dilaras untuk prabeban spring dan redaman semakan/mampatan. (Tidak boleh dilaras pada CB1000/Hornet).

  • Di bahagian belakang ialah ampaian Showa yang juga membenarkan pelarasan prabeban dan redaman semakan.
  • Kaliper brek radial depan Nissin empat omboh mencengkam cakera apung 310mm di hadapan, manakala di belakangnya ialah cakera 240mm yang dipadankan dengan kaliper Nissin satu omboh.
  • CB1000F mendapat roda tuangan aluminium dengan tayar hadapan dan belakang 120/70-ZR17 dan 180/55-ZR17.

  • CB1000F juga menerima kawalan wheelie dan ABS membelok, tiga mod menunggang yang termasuk Standard, Sport dan Rain, serta dua mod Pengguna yang boleh disesuaikan untuk penunggang pilih.
  • Paparan meter dilengkapi skrin TFT 5 inci, yang mempunyai sambungan telefon pintar melalui apl Honda RoadSmart.

After revealing the Honda CB1000F as a concept during the Suzuka 8 Hour race in August, they have now revealed the ready product.

The CB1000F is the latest model in the CB family’s 65-year-old history. But more specifically, the CB1000F resembles the CB750F/CB900F from the 80’s. More significantly, it resembles the bike ridden by one Freddie Spencer to a Daytona victory, before he went on to be a 500cc world champion.

As we mentioned previously, it is based on the CB1000 platform, which has now expanded to three variants, namely CB1000R (Neo Cafe roadster), CB1000/Hornet (naked), and now the CB1000F.

Therefore, all three bikes share some basic architecture and features.

Highlights
  • 1000cc inline-four engine, but retuned to produce 122 hp at 9,000 RPM and 103 Nm at 8,000 RPM, compared to the other two variants’ 155 hp @ 11,000 RPM and 107 Nm at 9,000 RPM.
  • It is clear here that this bike is intended for a more approachable, everyday riding experience, rather than an all-out street blasting.
  • Honda says it has been “developed under the conceptual target of creating the ‘Best Balanced Roadster’. The CB1000F handles like a middleweight but with big bike feel. And, with the ‘80s now proving such an influential decade in clothing, music, style, and more, the CB1000F is very much a bike ready for today.”

  • To achieve this goal, Honda revised the cams, lengthened the intake funnel from 50 mm to 140 mm, and a minimum diameter of 36 mm.
  • The exhaust system has the same 4-2-1 arrangement but gases exit through a three-chamber megaphone muffler.
  • Front suspension consists of 41mm Showa SFF-BP USD forks which are adjustable for spring preload and rebound/compression damping. (Non-adjustable on the CB1000/Hornet).

  • At the rear is a Showa shock that also allows for preload and rebound damping adjustments.
  • Nissin four-piston radial-mount front brake callipers grip 310mm floating discs up front, while out back is a 240mm disc that’s paired with a Nissin single-piston calliper
  • The CB1000F gets cast aluminium wheels with 120/70-ZR17 and 180/55-ZR17 front and rear tyres.

  • The CB1000F also receives wheelie control and cornering ABS, three riding modes which include Standard, Sport and Rain, and two customisable User modes for riders to choose from.
  • The dash features a 5-inch TFT screen, which has smartphone connectivity via the Honda RoadSmart app.
