2018 Honda CBR500R, CB500F & CB500X now available! From RM31,363

Boon Siew Honda has officially announced the arrival of the 2018 Honda CBR500R, CB500F and CB500X at all BSH authorised dealers.

The 2018 Honda CB500 range have been updated with some styling changes including brand new stripes and colour schemes.

All the 2018 models are priced from RM31,363.28 to RM35,391.28 (basic prices with GST).

We got some exciting news from Boon Siew Honda (BSH). It seems that they have officially introduced the updated 2018 Honda CB500 range in the form of the Honda CBR500R, CB500F and CB500X. For 2018, all the models will come with a much sportier, more aggressive and adventurous look together with new designs and colours. (more…)

2018 Benelli 402S – Mini Ducati XDiavel?

The folks over at Benelli will be launching the 2018 Benelli 402S cruiser sometime next year.

Obviously inspired by the Ducati XDiavel power cruiser, the Benelli 402S has so many similarities when it comes to the looks.

Powered by a 399cc parallel-twin engine, the 402S is said to produce 39hp and 35Nm of torque.

MotoGP: Aspar Ducati rebrands to Angel Nieto team

The Pull&Bear Aspar Ducati MotoGP squad has decided to rebrand themselves as the Angel Nieto team.

The gesture was made to pay tribute and honour the fallen 13-time GP world champion Angel Nieto.

Nieto sadly passed away in August when he collided with another vehicle while riding his quad bike near his home in Ibiza.

In honour of the recent passing of 13-time world champion Angel Nieto, the Pull&Bear Aspar Ducati outfit has decided to rebrand themselves as the Angel Nieto team for the 2018 MotoGP season. The decision was made by team owner Martinez Aspar who was once one of Nieto’s greatest rivals but the best of friends. (more…)

Honda ready to fight in 2018 Suzuka 8 Hours with HRC factory squad

Honda has announced that there will be a new entry in the 2018 Suzuka 8 Hours endurance race with their HRC factory squad.

This announcement came to be after the Yamaha Factory Racing Team has won the iconic race for the past three years.

The giant red Japanese manufacturer might even bring their top riders from WorldSBK and MotoGP to improve their chances in 2018.

One of the world’s greatest motorcycle endurance races that is the Suzuka 8 Hours will see a major shift in major league players for the year 2018. After three years of dominance from the Yamaha Factory Racing Team in July earlier this year (which also marked the race’s 40^th anniversary), Honda has decided that it’s time to bring out their big guns. MV Agusta has just announced the latest model in the RC family which is the 2018 MV Agusta F3 RC.

The RC range will include both the MV Agusta F3 675 and 800 models.

2018 Royal Enfield Himalayan 400cc adventure bike – RM18,370!

Royal Enfield has just previewed their latest offering for next year in the form of its 2018 Royal Enfield Himalayan.

The entry-level adventure bike comes ready with a 411cc single-cylinder engine which produces 24.5hp and 32Nm of torque.

Expect the 2018 Royal Enfield Himalayan to arrive at showrooms worldwide around June with a price tag of $4,499 (around RM18,370).

At the moment, we’re seeing the rise of adventure bike enthusiasts all around the world. With more and more manufacturers getting into the trend to manufacturer affordable adventure bikes for the masses, Royal Enfield is planning to hop onto that freight train with the preview of their 2018 Royal Enfield Himalayan scrambler. The Saudi women motorcycle ban will be lifted in the middle of 2018 following the announcement made by Saudi Arabia.

The future lifted ban will not only allow women to drive cars but also lorries and motorcycles.

Saudi Arabia will lift the ban after several decades of protests and oppression.

Good news from Saudi Arabia! Following the announcement that the driving ban for women in Saudi Arabia will be lifted on June 2018, their Ministry of Culture and Information has just announced that the future lifted ban will also include riding motorcycles and driving lorries! (more…)

Check out Jonathan Rea’s documentary “3 in a Row”!

A 45-minute documentary showing the life of Jonathan Rea on how he won three WorldSBK titles was released by BBC.

The clip showcases how the 30 year old has managed to do so while taking care of his family on the road and in between rounds.

Rea is the only WorldSBK rider so far to have won three WorldSBK championships in a row.

BBC has just released a 45-minute documentary on the 2017 WorldSBK World Champion, Jonathan Rea. Dubbed “3 in a Row”, the clip shows how the 30 year old from Northern Ireland managed to win three FIM Superbike World Championships in a row while maintaining his status as a loyal husband and caring father of two lovely children. Petronas will NOT sponsor Hafizh Syahrin for Moto2 2018

SIC officials have announced that Petronas will not sponsor Hafizh Syahrin for Moto2 in the 2018 season.

The rumours were finally confirmed late yesterday but SIC also stated that the 23 year old will still race in 2018 under a newly-formed Moto2 team under SIC.

Petronas will only support the Moto3 riders next season under the Petronas Sprinta Racing team which are Adam Norrodin and Ayumu Sasaki.

The rumours that have been going around for quite some time are finally confirmed late yesterday when Petronas announced that they will not be sponsoring national rider Hafizh Syahrin to continue his Moto2 efforts in 2018. (more…)

Kawasaki Malaysia launches Kawasaki Safety and Responsible Riding Course

Kawasaki Motors Malaysia (KMSB) has officially launched the Kawasaki Safety and Responsible Riding Course.

Together with the support from their principal Kawasaki Heavy Industries and K-TEC Corporation Japan, the program is intended to ultimately reduce the number of accidents involving motorcyclists in Malaysia.

The course will be offered to new and current Kawasaki owners to further enhance their riding ability through theory and practical programs.

In an effort to further strengthen their Corporate Social Responsibility initiative here in Malaysia, Kawasaki Motors Malaysia Sdn Bhd (KMSB) has launched a new program called the Kawasaki Safety and Responsible Riding Course (KSRR). The program was officially launched earlier today at the Sepang International Kart Circuit. (more…)
