Check out Jonathan Rea’s documentary “3 in a Row”!

A 45-minute documentary showing the life of Jonathan Rea on how he won three WorldSBK titles was released by BBC.

The clip showcases how the 30 year old has managed to do so while taking care of his family on the road and in between rounds.

Rea is the only WorldSBK rider so far to have won three WorldSBK championships in a row.

BBC has just released a 45-minute documentary on the 2017 WorldSBK World Champion, Jonathan Rea. Dubbed “3 in a Row”, the clip shows how the 30 year old from Northern Ireland managed to win three FIM Superbike World Championships in a row while maintaining his status as a loyal husband and caring father of two lovely children.

As some of you may know, Jonathan Rea was in the running to become BBC Sport’s Personality of the Year 2017 but was lost by just half a tyre at the finish line by four-time Olympic champion athlete, Mo Farah. On the plus side, Rea was honoured by the Queen of England herself with an MBE (Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire). It’s kind of like getting a Dato’ title here in Malaysia.

Anyway, the documentary showcases Rea on his journey of becoming the first ever World Superbikes rider to win three world titles in a row. The most amazing thing about this achievement is how he still takes care of his family in between races (which helps if you have a home on wheels like their RV).

Racing has gone through a lot of evolutions. In a world where it used to be compared as being a rock star is now treated more like a professional sport with high-level athletes all chasing the glory of crossing the chequered flag first. Rea has proven himself to be quite capable of doing so with his factory Kawasaki ZX-10RR (which he proved to be faster than some MotoGP bikes) whilst taking care of his family in between rounds.

Massive respect to you, good sir.
