Indian FTR1200 confirmed for production in 2019!

Indian Motorcycle has finally announced that the Indian FTR1200 will be a production model in 2019.
The street-version is based on the Indian Scout FTR750 Flat Tracker and the Indian Scout FTR1200 Custom.
Judging by the name, the upcoming FTR1200 will probably run and updated 1,133cc V-twin platform similar to the one used in the current Indian Scout cruiser.

It was earlier this year when we heard rumours of Indian Motorcycle planning to churn out a production version of their superbly beautiful Indian Scout FTR750 Flat Tracker. This idea turned into an Indian Scout FTR1200 Custom concept machine which was introduced last year. (more…)

Close win for the world’s fastest Ducati Multistrada at Pikes Peak!

The world’s fastest Ducati Multistrada 1260 gave Ducati back their crown at the 2018 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.
Ducati’s Carlin Dunne took his fourth win after a close battle with KTM’s Rennie Scaysbrook.
KTM also won and broke the record for the middleweight division thanks to Chris Fillmore and the new KTM 790 Duke.

The 96^th Pikes Peak International Hill Climb saw a lot of brave souls battling it out at the ‘Race to the Clouds’ near Colorado Springs, USA. For the motorcycle heavyweight division, it was expected that Ducati and KTM will go head to head but no one expected it would be such a close race. (more…)

2019 KTM 390 Adventure confirmed for production!

KTM India has confirmed that the new 2019 KTM 390 Adventure will be ready for production next year.
The new entry-level adventure bike will be sharing the same platform as the 390 Duke and RC390.
Expect the new 390 Adventure to be officially launched at the end of the year during EICMA 2018.

The world of adventure and dual-purpose riding has just got more interesting as KTM announced that their KTM 390 Adventure is set for debut as a 2019 model. Their entry-level adventure model will be sharing the same platform as its sport and naked siblings, the 390 Duke and RC390. (more…)

Custom BMW S 1000 RR by Revival Cycles

The folks from Revival Cycles built a custom BMW S 1000 RR with a ‘vintage’ appeal.
Based in Texas, USA, the team envisioned the bike to be a classic race paired with all of its performance magnificence.
Custom alloy fairings and other performance-inspired parts were all included to further enhance the bike’s capabilities as a racer.

Not a lot of folks would tear down a perfectly awesome modern-day superbike and build it up into something completely out of the ordinary. While most folks would consider this as a very daunting task, Revival Cycles from Texas, USA went through this journey and the result is simply outstanding. (more…)

Moto2: Jorge Martin moves up to Red Bull KTM Ajo in 2019

Jorge Martin will be moving up to Moto2 next year after signing a new deal with the Red Bull KTM Ajo team.
The 20-year-old Spaniard will be replacing the outgoing Miguel Oliveira.
Martin is currently second in the 2018 Moto3 world championship with just three points behind championship leader, Marco Bezzecchi.

It has been quite a season so far for Moto3 2018 championship leader, Jorge Martin. With three race wins and second in the championship, the Del Conca Gresini Moto3 rider has announced that he will be moving up into the intermediate class with the Red Bull KTM Ajo squad in replacement for the outgoing rider, Miguel Oliveira. 2018 MV Agusta Turismo Veloce Lusso SCS has an AUTOMATIC clutch?

MV Agusta has launched their latest 2018 MV Agusta Turismo Veloce Lusso SCS which comes with an automatic clutch system.
Called the “Smart Clutch System”, the bike is able to engage and disengage the clutch automatically based on the engine revs.
In short, the SCS system allows you to stop and start rolling again without having to touch the clutch lever.

Premium Italian motorcycle manufacturer MV Agusta has unveiled their latest 2018 MV Agusta Turismo Veloce Lusso SCS just a couple of days ago. There are no major changes based on the looks but the SCS in the breathtaking name actually stands for “Smart Clutch System” which is completely brand new. (more…)

WorldSBK: Jonathan Rea to stay with Kawasaki until 2020

Jonathan Rea has confirmed that he’ll be staying in WorldSBK until the end of the year 2020.
The 31-year-old Irish rider has signed a two-year deal with the Kawasaki Racing Team.
This contract renewal has also put a stop to the rumours about him making his move to MotoGP in 2019.

Multiple WorldSBK world champion Jonathan Rea has finally signed a two-year deal with the Kawasaki Racing Team (KRT). The 31-year-old Irish rider has put all rumours aside by confirming his stay in the FIM Superbike World Championship until the end of 2020. (more…)

MotoGP: Joan Mir signs with Suzuki for 2019 and 2020!

Joan Mir has signed a two-year deal with the Suzuki MotoGP factory team.
The 2017 Moto3 world champion will be riding the Suzuki GSX-RR for the next two seasons alongside Alex Rins.
The current Moto2 rookie is already gaining podium finishes in the intermediate class.

Nicky Hayden statue unveiled in his hometown

A Nicky Hayden statue was revealed in honour of the fallen 2006 MotoGP world champion.
It was around this time last year that the MotoGP Legend was struck down by a car while training in Italy.
The statue was commissioned by the city of Owensboro, Kentucky and the Hayden family.

It was a sad day back in May of 2017 when the world lost the 2006 MotoGP world champion, Nicky Hayden. After a year since the tragic incident where the 35-year-old was hit by a car whilst training, his hometown of Owensboro, Kentucky has unveiled a statue in honour of the MotoGP Legend. (more…)

Moto2: Hector Barbera fired for drunk driving

Current Pons HP40 Racing team rider Hector Barbera has been fired for a drunk driving conviction.
The 31-year-old was found guilty of driving over the limit in Spain last week and was handed a one-year driving ban.
The parting of ways between the ex-MotoGP rider and the Pons HP40 Racing team is effective immediately.

The Pons HP40 Racing Team has issued an official announcement stating that they have parted ways with their current Moto2 rider, Hector Barbera. This is due to the fact that Barbera was convicted with drunk driving earlier this week in Spain. (more…)
