A brand new Yamaha Y15ZR was presented to one lucky winner of the TuneBoss 2018 Lucky Draw Contest.
Mohd Fairus bin Abd Rahman from Ipoh entered the contest when he purchased a TuneBoss ECU for his Yamaha FZ150i.
The Yamaha Y15ZR grand prize will be fitted and tuned with a TuneBoss high-performance ECU before the official handover.

These race-prepped bikes are designed based on the Ducati riders from MotoGP and WorldSBK.

Get ready for the 2019 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R

It looks like Kawasaki is currently working on a brand new 2019 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R.
Documents were filed to the California Air Resources Board (CARB) regarding the emissions output of the 2019 supersport machine.
The new ZX-6R is heading towards the Euro5 emissions regulations and it is said to produce only half of the emissions compared to the previous model.

WorldSBK: Tom Sykes is leaving Kawasaki

Tom Sykes and the Kawasaki Racing Team (KRT) WorldSBK have announced their split at the end of 2018.
Months of speculation and drama between Sykes and teammate Jonathan Rea have led to the decision.
Sykes has gathered 34 wins, 106 podiums, and one championship crown during his nine seasons with KRT.

After nine great seasons together in WorldSBK, Tom Sykes and the Kawasaki Racing Team (KRT) will be parting ways at the end of the 2018 season. After months of speculations and slightly hostile environment between Sykes and his teammate Jonathan Rea, the decision to leave wasn’t really a surprising one. (more…)

The Yamaha MotoGP team has signed a new agreement with Monster Energy as their new title sponsor starting 2019.
Starting next season, the Yamaha factory squad will be known as the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP squad.
Both Valentino Rossi and Maverick Vinales are already Monster Energy athletes.

The Yamaha MotoGP team will see a big change for the 2019 season as they’ve signed a new agreement with Monster Energy drink as their new main sponsor. Starting next season, the team comprising of Valentino Rossi and Maverick Vinales will be known as the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP team. (more…)

Naza Premira issues official statement on Aprilia

Naza Premira Sdn Bhd has released an official press statement regarding their distributorship status for Aprilia here in Malaysia.
After a mutual decision with Piaggio Group, they’ve decided to cease its operation as the brand’s official distributor starting 31 July 2018.
With that being said, Naza Premira Sdn Bhd will continue to represent Piaggio and Vespa brands in Malaysia.

It’s been a while since we last heard anything regarding Aprilia and its presence here in Malaysia. In fact, the last major event organised by them was the official launch of the amazing 2017 Aprilia RSV4 RF and Tuono 1100 V4 held last year in conjunction with the Shell Malaysia Motorcycle Grand Prix (MotoGP). MotoGP: Dani Pedrosa announces retirement

Dani Pedrosa has officially announced his retirement from racing at yesterday’s MotoGP pre-race conference.
The Repsol Honda rider stated that although he had many great offers to continue racing, he needed to focus on other priorities in his life.
Dani Pedrosa is easily one of the most successful riders after a prosperous 18-year career.

After months of speculations, Repsol Honda’s Dani Pedrosa finally made his official announcement regarding his future in MotoGP. At the end of the 2018 season, Dani Pedrosa will retire from motorcycle racing and yes, we are very sad to hear about it. (more…)

No news of the next-generation BMW superbike is out yet but Gulf Althea BMW Racing Team boss confirms that they might get it for the upcoming season.
Some say that it’ll carry a counter-rotating crankshaft used in MotoGP bikes, updated electronics and a power boost.

There’s no surprise that the world of superbikes is getting more and more advanced as days go by and manufacturers around the world are prepping themselves for the next generation race-inspired sports bikes.
