Husqvarna’s Global Sales Dropped in 2023

Husqvarna had been performing well in terms of sales since its acquisition by Pierer Industrie AG in 2013. So it is surprising and perhaps perplexing that Husqvarna’s Global Sales dropped in 2023 – the first time in a decade.

They recorded selling a total 47,008 units worldwide, representing a -1.2% drop.

The largest decrease was recorded in India, followed Latin America (-13.9%), China (-10.6%), and the ASEAN region (-8.7%).

However, the brand continued to grow in non-Asian regions, especially in new markets such as Slovenia (+119%) and Cyprus (+58%). Another two countries that registered double-digit sales were Ireland (+33%) and Spain (+19.1%). Sales in the European continent grew +7.7%, overall.

There was also a +2.0% increase in North America.

The figures were revealed by the Motorcycles Data website. The track new vehicle sales according to registrations (going to customers) rather that vehicles invoiced (sold to dealers by manufacturers). However, they only track sales in 80 countries instead of the using the figures provided by the manufacturers.

About Husqvarna

Husqvarna was founded in 1689 in the small town of Huskvarna in southern Sweden, now the city of Huskvarna, Småland province. Husqvarna was originally a mechanical company, producing guns for the Swedish army. In 1903, the company entered the motorcycle industry with its first product, the Husky.

Husqvarna was acquired by Italian motorcycle company Cagiva in 1987 and became part of parent company MV Agusta Motor. A group of managers and engineers in Husqvarna were unhappy with the future under Cagiva. They founded Husaberg AG, a new motorcycle manufacturer in Sweden and later acquired by KTM AG.

In 2007, BMW Motorrad acquired Husqvarna in a deal worth €93 million. But in 2013, the Swedish motorcycle company changed hands again when Pierer Industrie AG bought all shares of the company from BMW Motorrad.

In 2013, the shares and patent rights of the Husqvarna brand were sold by Pierer Industrie AG to KTM AG, Husqvarna Motorcycle GmbH has since been established.

There are also Husqvarna branded power tools, but these are in a separate entity to Husqvarna motorcycles.

Husqvarna Updates The Norden 901 For 2024 With A Number of Enhancements

Husqvarna Motorcycles has updated the Norden 901 with what the company calls improved performance and safety thanks to multiple technical enhancements for 2024.

The updated Norden 901 retains the same 889 cc parallel twin engine for 2024. Together with its light steel trellis frame, WP APEX suspension, and multiple ride modes, the Norden 901 continues to offer outstanding comfort, particularly on longer rides when navigating rugged and challenging landscapes as we recently found out when we explored the Korean island of Jeju on the Norden 901.

Husqvarna Motorcycles’ lean-angle sensitive Cornering Motorcycle Traction Control (MTC) now offers ten different levels of rear wheel slip, which can be selected when the optional Explorer Mode is engaged. With a setting to suit all riding abilities, those with more experience will enjoy drifting through turns while riders new to travel machines will benefit from confidence inspiring traction when negotiating technical corners and unpredictable terrain.

Rounding out the new features found on the Norden 901 2024 are new USB port, the Hazard Warning lights, which can be quickly switched on in the event of an emergency, and the new exhaust system that meets EURO 5+ regulations.

Underlining the premium build quality of the Norden 901, the components used on this versatile machine are all chosen for their performance and durability. The Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres, Bosch Cornering ABS, a Power Assist Slipper Clutch (PASC), and multiple ride modes combine to create the ultimate riding experience.

Husqvarna Meterai Perjanjian Dengan MOTOREX Oils

Husqvarna telah menandatangani satu kerjasama strategik global bersama pengeluar minyak pelincir MOTOREX yang akan bermula dari bulan Januari 2018.
Ke semua motosikal off-road dan jalan raya Husqvarna akan pada mulanya diisi dengan minyk pelincir MOTOREX dan bagi kerja penyelenggaraan pada masa yang akan datang.
MOTOREX Oils juga akan menjadi salah sebuah rakan kerjasama rasmi untuk pasukan Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing di kejohanan AMA Supercross Championship tahun ini.

Husqvarna inks deal with MOTOREX Oils

Husqvarna has signed a strategic global partnership with MOTOREX lubricants starting January 2018.

All new Husqvarna off-road and street bikes will be first filled with MOTOREX lubricants and future maintenance and service works.

MOTOREX Oils also became one of the official partners for the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing in this year’s AMA Supercross Championship.

A strategic global partnership has been announced between Husqvarna Motorcycles and MOTOREX lubricant. As of January 2018, all new Husqvarna street and off-road bikes will be using its lubricants. (more…)

Husqvarna Motorcycles telah melancarkan motosikal Husqvarna FC 450 Edisi Rockstar 2018 yang serba baru.
Pelancaran itu telah diadakan bersempena dengan pengenalan barisan penunggang bagi pasukan Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing 2018 untuk siri kejohanan AMA Supercross Championship musim hadapan.

Check out the 2018 Husqvarna FC 450 Rockstar Edition!

Husqvarna Motorcycles has just launched the all-new 2018 Husqvarna FC 450 Rockstar Edition.

The launch was made in conjunction of the introduction of the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing 2018 rider line-up for next season’s AMA Supercross Championship.

The all-new FC 450 features a reworked 450cc single-cylinder engine, Pankl Racing five-speed gearbox, super lightweight frame with carbon-fibre sub-frame, and many more.

Adakah Ini Roadster Naked Husqvarna 701 Svartpilen?

Beberapa gambar intipan motosikal roadster naked Husqvarna 701 Svartpilen telah tersebar di atas talian dalam beberapa hari ini.
Melihat pada gambarnya, ianya telah disahkan sebagai 701 berdasarkan nombor yang tertera pada tempat letak kaki motosikal ini.
Motosikal 701 ini sedang diuji tampak seperti sebuah 701 yang diperhalusi dengan ilham dari motosikal 401.

Is this the Husqvarna 701 Svartpilen Naked Roadster?

Some spy photos of the Husqvarna 701 Svartpilen naked roadster has been going around the internet these past few days.

Based on the photos, it was confirmed that it is indeed a 701 based on the numbers indicated on the footrest of the bike.

The 701 currently being tested looks like a much more refined 701 with a few inspirations from its younger 401 sibling.

Spy shots of what looks like a Husqvarna 701 Svartpilen naked roadster has been circulating all over the internet these past couple of days. The Svartpilen was a bike built around the concept of the Husqvarna Vitpilen 701 when it made its first appearance back in 2015 at the EICMA show in Milan, Italy. (more…)
