Our very own Malaysian rider Azlan Shah Kamaruzaman made it to a podium finish in second together with Kawasaki Team Green in the 2017 Suzuka 8 Hours FIM Word Endurance Championship race in Suzuka yesterday.

Together with BSB rider Leon Haslam and Japanese Kazuma Watanabe, Team Green scored the second podium position just behind the Yamaha Factory Racing Team which took home their third consecutive win.

Team F.C.C TSR Honda finished in third with their Honda CBR1000RR SP2 race machine piloted by Randy de Puniet, Dominique Aegerter and Josh Hook.

Besides the annual Art of Speed Malaysia 2017 gathering, the 40th Coca Cola Suzuka 8 Hours FIM World Endurance Championship took place in Suzuka, Japan this past weekend. This weekend also marked a historic moment where three Malaysian riders competed in the iconic eight hours race but what’s even more amazing was the fact that one of our very own made it onto the podium! Suzuki Assemblers Malaysia (SAM) recently organised a very special Suzuki new model test ride over the weekend at the Sepang International Kart Circuit.

They’ve brought together all of their latest 2017 models for the public to have a go in conjunction with the Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup and Malaysia Superbike Championship which happened on the same weekend.

Folks were able to test of Suzuki models such as GSX-R1000R L7, GSX-S750 naked sportbike, GSX-S1000, SV650, V-Strom 650 and the Burgman 400 scooter.

As manufacturers are increasingly organising test ride events of their latest models for the public, Suzuki Assemblers Malaysia (SAM) has also joined the fray, by organising their own test rides at the Sepang International Kart Circuit. (more…)

Suzuki Assemblers Malaysia will be organising a special Suzuki test ride session this weekend on 29 to 30 July 2017 at the Sepang International Kart Circuit.

Those who are interested can try out some of Suzuki’s flagship big bike models such as the latest GSX-R1000, GSX-R1000R, VStrom 650 ABS, SV 650 ABS, GSXS 750 ABS, GSXS1000F and Burgman 400 ABS.

The event will be happening this weekend from 10am to 4pm on both Saturday and Sunday with other brands taking part like Arai Helmet, Bike World, Autobacks and many more.

Suzuki Assemblers Malaysia will be organising a very special Suzuki test ride session for all their latest 2017 motorcycle models this weekend. The Sepang International Kart Circuit has been chosen as the Venue and the public has the golden opportunity to try out some of their flagship models including the Suzuki GSXR1000R. (more…)

The 40th Suzuka 8 Hours endurance race will once again see riders and teams from all over the world fighting for one of the greatest motorcycle endurance races of all time from 27 to 30 July 2017.

This year’s race marks the race’s 40th anniversary where three Malaysians will be competing; Moto2 rider Hafizh Syahrin, current ARRC rider Azlan Shah and 2016 ARRC champion Zaqhwan Zaidi.

Hafizh Syahrin will race together with Team Kagayama on board the Suzuki GSX-R1000, Zaqhwan Zaidi with Team Satu HATI on board the latest Honda CBR1000RR and Azlan Shah will be racing with Team Green and their infamous Kawasaki ZX-10R.

The countdown to the 40th Suzuka 8 Hours endurance race is getting closer and closer. One of the world’s most iconic motorcycle endurance race sponsored by Coca Cola will run its course from 27 July 2017 to 30 July 2017. (more…)

According to latest reports, Harley-Davidson has been rumoured to make a bid to buy over Ducati from Volkswagen Group.

Volkwagen has been planning to liquidate some of their major assets including Ducati ever since the great emissions scandal back in 2015.

The biddings to purchase Ducati has been set at €1.5 billion (around RM7.2 billion) in which VW will start accepting bids from potential owners starting July.

According to a recent report made by Reuters, the latest high profile name that has been thrown in to bid over as the new owner of Ducati is none other than Harley-Davidson. Ever since Volkswagen Group has been slapped in the face with the emissions cheating drama, they’ve been looking into liquidating some of their assets and Ducati falls in that very list for sale. Michael Dunlop has the final Senior TT race in the Isle of Man TT 2017 yesterday on board of the brand new Suzuki GSX-R.

With Ian Hutchinson crashing out of the race in Lap 2which led to a break in the race, Dunlop was able to make necessary changes to the bike’s setting which gave him the ultimate TT race win.

Peter Hickman (Smiths BMW) and Dean Harrison (Silicone Engineering Kawasaki) again scored impressive podium finishes in second and third respectively.

Suzuki turbocharged sports bike has re-emerged once again in a patent recently filed in the United States by the giant Japanese manufacturer.

The turbocharged twin-cylinder machine is an evolution of the previous Suzuki Recursion Concept bike introduced back in 2013.

The final production bike will most likely run the much friendlier production-ready XE7 turbo engine unveiled at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show.

Exciting times ahead, folks. Suzuki has filed new patents for their upcoming turbocharged middleweight sports bike. According to a report made by Australian Motorcycle News, the turbocharged twin-cylinder middleweight monster’s design will most likely be based on the 2013 Suzuki Recursion Concept bike introduced back in 2013. The question on whether all-wheel drive motorcycles are real or fake remains a mystery to most of us but some manufacturers have already filed patents for their version of the hybrid motorcycles.

Manufacturers like Suzuki have already filed patents for a two-wheel drive hybrid maxi-scooter whereas the BMW R 1200 GS ‘xDrive Hybrid’ still remains a big question mark.

While some say that the BMW bike is just a well-planned prank for this year’s April Fool’s joke, some think that it’s more than just a joke.

The question on this particular mystery still remains. Is there any manufacturer out there planning to produce an all-wheel drive motorcycles anytime soon? The reason why this question came to be dated back a few years ago but the last month, BMW Motorrad actually announced they are indeed planning for an AWD BMW R 1200 GS with the ‘xDrive Hybrid’ system. India’s Royal Enfield was rumoured to have been approached as one of the companies to possibly take over Ducati.

Ever since the major Volkswagen diesel emissions scandal in 2015, the company has hired Evercore to search for potential buyers of the big red giant motorcycle manufacturer.

The selling price could go upwards of €1.5 billion (around RM 7.1 billion).

One of the biggest brands in the history of motorcycling has sparked the interest of one Indian company, Royal Enfield. Ever since news broke out that the Volkswagen Group is planning to let go of the giant Italian bike brand, it is rumoured that Royal Enfield was one of the entities approached for the next company in line to take over the giant red Italian brand.
