Dari Kes Kecurian Ke Insiden Bertumbuk Di Pintu Masuk, Apa Lagi Selepas Ini?

Pengunjung yang hadir ke Litar Antarabangsa Sepang (SIC) bagi menyaksikan perlumbaan Shell Malaysia MotoGP 2019 semalam disajikan dengan aksi bertumbuk yang berlaku di pintu masuk ke Grandstand.

Video berdurasi 23 saat yang dikongsikan Laman Facebook Sukan Star TV terbabit memaparkan seorang lelaki berbaju hitam cuba menendang petugas pintu memakai ves biru.

Bagaimanapun, dia kemudiannya bertindak menumbuk petugas tersebut sebelum sempat berlalu pergi.

Ketika ini tiada maklumat mengenai punca kejadian tersebut berlaku namun terdapat dakwaan lelaki berbaju hitam tersebut cuba memasuki kawasan Grandstand untuk menyaksikan upacara podium dengan menggunakan tiket untuk kawasan tempat duduk lain.

Difahamkan, lelaki tersebut telah pun ditahan untuk tindakan lanjut.

Terdahulu, kelengkapan perlumbaan milik pasukan Moto2 Angel Nieto dicuri oleh individu yang tidak bertanggungjawab.

Kedua-dua insiden ini ternyata mengaibkan imej Malaysia di mata dunia apatah lagi Litar Antarabangsa Sepang menerima kunjungan ribuan pelancong luar negara.

Kes Kecurian Pasukan Angel Nieto, Tiga Pekerja Keselamatan Dicekup

Baru-baru ini Malaysia diaibkan dengan kes kecurian di tapak pasukan Moto2, Angel Nieto di Litar Antarabangsa Sepang (SIC).

Beberapa alat ganti antaranya fork depan dan belakang, kaliper brek dan peralatan lain telah dicuri sehingga memaksa Angel Nieto meminjam peralatan pasukan lain.

Bagaimanapun, menurut laporan Sinar Harian, tiga pegawai keselamatan telah pun ditahan pihak polis bagi membantu siasatan berhubung kes kecurian yang dianggarkan bernilai RM200,000.

Ketua Polis Daerah Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Kuala Lumpur (KLIA), Asisten Komisioner Zulkifli Adamsah mengesahkan tangkapan tiga lelaki tempatan berusia 20 hingga 30 tahun itu.

Difahamkan, ketiga-tiga pekerja keselamatan terbabit bertugas di lokasi kejadian namun pihak polis masih menyiasat rakaman CCTV untuk mendapatkan butiran lanjut.

Vinales Dominasi Litar Sepang, Marquez Puas Hati Dengan Lap Pertama

Meskipun kehangatan merebut kejuaraan MotoGP telah pun berakhir di GP Thailand yang menyaksikan Marc Marquez merekodkan kejuaraan keenam MotoGP namun senario itu tidak memadam keterujaan di Shell Malaysia MotoGP, hari ini.

Pelumba Yamaha, Maverick Vinales berjaya melakar kemenangan kedua musim ini selepas memintas Jack Miller seawal lap pertama untuk terus mendominasi perlumbaan sehingga ke lap terakhir.

Sementara Marquez, yang bermula di petak ke-11 susulan kemalangan di pusingan kelayakan, berjaya menamatkan perlumbaan di kedudukan kedua manakala wakil Ducati, Andrea Dovizioso ketiga.

Malang untuk wakil Petronas Yamaha, Fabio Quartararo dan Franco Morbidelli – yang bermula di petak pertama dan ketiga – apabila terpaksa berpuas hati dengan kedudukan tujuh dan keenam.

Meskipun tidak mampu mengulangi kejayaan di Litar Philip Island, minggu lalu namun Marquez tetap puas hati dengan prestasinya.

“Lap pertama cukup mengagumkan, bukan hanya untuk saya malah untuk Dovi, kami memulakan perlumbaan dengan baik untuk menempatkan diri di kedudukan lima terbaik.

“Kemudian saya cuba mengejar Vinales dan mengharapkan dapat mengulangi senario di GP Australia tetapi selepas dua pusingan dia berada terlalu jauh didepan.

“Sukar untuk merapatkan jurang apabila dia berjaya memecut selaju itu,” ujar Marquez.

Setelah mengesahkan kejuaraan musim ini, Marquez dan Respol Honda akan cuba mengejar defisit dua mata dibelakang Ducati dalam perebutan kejuaraan pasukan terbaik 2019.

Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup Rider Afridza Munandar Passes Away

Afridza Munandar, an Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup (IATC) rider passed away moments ago.
He sustained mortal injuries in a crash at Turn 10 on Lap 1 at the Sepang International Circuit.
Munandar was set to challenge for the IATC title this weekend.

We are saddened to learn and share that Afridza Munandar, an Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup (IATC) rider passed away moments ago.

20-year-old Munandar was involved in accident at Turn 10 on Lap 1 of the race. The race was immediately red-flagged. Spectators saw the medical emergency helicopter land near the corner thereafter. The helicopter flew the stricken rider to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital.

Sadly, he succumbed to his injuries later despite the valiant efforts of the medical staff at the circuit and in the hospital to save his life.

Munandar was one of the hottest talents in the championship this year and was set to duel for the title this weekend at the 2019 Shell Malaysia Motorcycle Grand Prix, held at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC). He has won two races, finished second twice and third also twice this season.

The FIM, FIM Asia, Dorna Sports and all involved in the IATC extended their condolences to Munandar’s family, friends and loved ones.

Kelengkapan Pasukan Angel Nieto Moto2 Kena Kebas Di Sepang

Ada pelbagai perkara yang boleh mencemarkan nama negara dan salah satunya kes kecurian yang menimpa pasukan Moto2 Angel Nieto di Litar Antarabangsa Sepang (SIC), hari ini.

Menurut laporan Lalasport, antara peralatan yang telah dicuri melibatkan kaliper brek, set fork depan dan penyerap hentakan belakang serta komputer riba.

Bagaimanapun, menurut pengurus pasukan Angel Nieto, Gino Borsoi, komponen bagi jentera Moto2 tidak diusik.

Menyedari musibah yang menimpa Angel Nieto, pasukan Sky VR46 telah menghulurkan bantuan dengan meminjamkan beberapa komponen yang telah hilang.

Ketika ini tiada kenyataan rasmi dikeluarkan pihak SIC.

Angel Nieto merupakan destinasi 2020 bagi pelumba negara, Hafizh Syahrin, tahun depan.

RM30 Juta Untuk Bumbung Baharu, Tiada Lagi Insiden ‘Bocor’ Di Litar Sepang

Litar Antarabangsa Sepang (SIC) telah menjalani beberapa penambahbaikan menjelang perlumbaan MotoGP Malaysia.

Bagi memastikan kelancaran perlumbaan kali ini, SIC telah membelanjakan lebih RM30 juta untuk menggantikan bahagian bumbung yang meliputi 1.8 kilometer, menaik taraf tandas dan kawasan paddock serta memperbaiki sistem saluran.

Menurut laporan New Straits Times, Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif (SIC), Datuk Razlan Razali, mendedahkan bahawa kebanyakan kemudahan yang terdapat di Litar Sepang tidak diperbaiki sejak 1999.

“Bumbung di bahagian grandstand telah pun digantikan selepas 20 tahun,” katanya.

Razlan turut menjelaskan RM9 juta telah dibelanjakan bagi naik taraf bahagian tandas.

Menurutnya lagi, lebih 80,000 tiket telah pun dijual setakat ini namun menjangkakan angka tersebut akan mencecah 100,000 menjelang hari perlumbaan, Ahad ini.

Tahun lalu, SIC merekodkan kehadiran pengunjung paling tinggi dengan 103,000 penonton.

Franco Morbidelli in PETRONAS Sepang Racing Team for Endurance World Championship Round at Sepang

MotoGP rider Franco Morbidelli will join the PETRONAS Sepang Racing Team squad for the FIM Endurance World Championship round in Sepang International Circuit.
He will join two other riders namely Hafizh Syahrin and four-time Suzuka 8 Hour endurance winner Michael van der Mark.
The round will take place from 13^thto 15^thDecember 2019.

MotoGP rider Franco Morbidelli will join the PETRONAS Sepang Racing Team squad for the FIM Endurance World Championship round in Sepang International Circuit.

Morbidelli’s draft ends months of speculation that he will be one of the riders for the Sepang stint. He will join two other riders namely Hafizh Syahrin and four-time Suzuka 8 Hour endurance winner Michael van der Mark.

The squad will be supported by the YART Yamaha EWC squad who were former winners of the EWC. As such, the three riders will play their parts in riding the Yamaha YZF-R1.

The 2020 EWC opens with the Bol D’or in France before heading to Sepang for the second round from 13^thto 15^thDecember 2019. However, the Sepang round has a large significance to the EWC as it will form the qualifying round for “irregular” EWC teams to qualify for the Suzuka 8 Hour race.

Additionally, the race also features an FIA World Touring Car Cup round back-to-back.

Morbidelli expressed his concerns about riding in an endurance race. “I’m curious to see how an endurance race format suits me, and am really looking forward to it.”

Team Principal Dato’ Ahmad Razlan Ahmad Razali is confident about the team’s prospects given the two MotoGP riders in addition to a multiple Suzuka 8 Hour winner. “We have faith that Franco, Michael, Hafizh and YART will deliver and we’re targeting the very top step of the podium.”

PETRONAS Yamaha SRT Principal Dato’ Razlan Razali: Many Told Us Fabio Quartararo was the Wrong Choice

PETRONAS Yamaha SRT Principal Dato’ Razlan Razali said that many thought Fabio Quartararo was the wrong choice before the start of the season.
Fabio is currently returning unexpectedly great results to the team.
The PETRONAS Yamaha SRT outfits will be the home team in the Malaysian MotoGP round.

Things definitely looked different when the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) CEO and PETRONAS Yamaha SRT Principal, Dato’ Razlan Razali announced plans for Malaysian MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 teams last year.

Now the MotoGP team is performing not just beyond expectations, but no one would’ve dared to even give a thought about where the PETRONAS Sepang Racing Team is now. The scene was telling during the Yamaha Motorsport Launch at SIC just after the winter tests and prior to the season opener in Qatar.

While every journalist fielded questions to the factory Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP squad (mostly to Valentino Rossi, actually), Dato’ Razlan and his two riders Franco Morbidelli and Fabio Quartararo put up their best smiles while sitting quietly in between the factory and PATA Yamaha WorldSBK teams.

Because journalists know that the answers would’ve been, “We do not expect great results from the year ahead. We hope to finish every race and learn along the way.” Or anything to that effect.

Oh, how things have changed. Now every hack wants an interview with Dato’ Razlan and co.

The driving force is of course the super rookie Fabio Quartararo’s exploits. He’s been a consistent frontrunner and not afraid to mix it up with the Big Boys.

“When we announced him as our second rider, a lot of people told us we made the wrong choice – but now everyone agrees we made the right decision!” Dato’ Razlan said in an interview.

“There’s no way we expected to be in this fantastic position after only twelve rounds of the 2019 season. We were hoping for Franky to deliver top six performances and for Fabio to target rookie of the year. We didn’t expect both of them to do what they’re doing and we’re extremely happy and satisfied with them. To be able to deliver such strong performances for our title sponsor is key, and we’ve achieved even more than what was desired based on the targets we set at the start of the year,” he continued.

Dato’ Razlan is quick to credit the team, saying that the riders wouldn’t have performed so well without support. The team has since grown to 48-strong and enjoys good ambience and chemistry. But he is also quick to acknowledge that the team is young and nothing is 100%. Still, there’s no reason for him to feel proud.

“I also couldn’t be more proud as a Malaysian to finally have our own Malaysian MotoGP team. We can tell fans and media from across the globe that we’re Malaysian and we can act as our country’s ambassadors. We’re proud of that role and I’m honoured to be able to represent the country in the paddock.”

Speaking of the Malaysian MotoGP round, he added that, “The Malaysian Grand Prix is our home race, it’ll be the first time our MotoGP team will compete at Sepang, and we expect the riders to do well in MotoGP and Moto3, and if Pawi can come back in Moto2, then he can do well too!

“We’re already anticipating a bumper crowd with 200,000 spectators over three days, and 115,000 on race day. It’ll be a huge event for us, and we can’t wait.”

Dato’ Razlan concluded the interview by iterating that both Quartararo and Morbidelli will continue with the team in 2020.

Razlan Mahu Quartararo Dan Morbidelli Beraksi Di Sepang 8 Hours

Pelumba MotoGP, Fabio Quartararo dan Franco Morbidelli dikhabarkan akan beraksi di Sepang 8 Hours hujung tahun ini.

Menurut laporan Crash.net, Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif (CEO) Litar Antarabangsa Sepang (SIC), Dato’ Razlan Razali mahu menyaksikan kedua pelumba pasukan Petronas Yamaha itu beraksi dalam pertandingan sulung yang akan berlangsung pada 14 Disember ini.

“Kami di SIC mahu menyaksikan pelumba MotoGP beraksi di Sepang 8 Hours. Ketika ini kami sedang berbincang dengan pengurus mereka.

“Kedua-dua pelumba (Quartararo dan Morbidelli) mempunyai kelapangan pada bulan Disember. Pada masa sama saya berasakan perlumbaan ini baik untuk mengekalkan kecergasan mereka ketika musim cuti MotoGP.

“Saya juga telah memperjelaskan kepada mereka, ‘ini adalah acara Endurance World Championship (EWC) sulung kami jadi kami mahu kamu beraksi’. Ketika ini kami masih belum membuat keputusan tentang pelumba ketiga,”jelasnya.

Pada masa sama Razlan turut berpeluang menampilkan EWC sulung dengan barisan ‘all-star’ sekiranya setiap pelumba daripada pasukan Petronas Yamaha Sprinta dapat turun padang antaranya, Jonas Folger, Khairul Idham Pawi, Mattia Pasini dari Moto2 dan Ayumu Sasaki serta John McPhee dari Moto3.

Sementara itu, wakil tunggal negara dalam kelas premier MotoGP, Hafizh Syahrian turut mempunyai kelapangan pada bulan Disember apabila kontraknya bersama KTM tamat musim ini.

Demam MotoGP Di Litar Antarabangsa Sepang Kembali Buat Kali Ke-20!

Demam MotoGP kembali di Malaysia dengan Litar Antarabangsa Sepang (SIC) sekali lagi menerima kunjungan saingan MotoGP buat kali ke-20 pada 1 hingga 3 November ini.

Sempena dengan ulangtahun ke-20 MotoGP di Malaysia, SIC berazam untuk memberikan pengalaman terbaik kepada orang ramai dan pelumba yang bakal bertandang ke Sepang nanti.

Litar sepanjang 5.543 kilometer itu – yang lahir daripada buah fikiran Perdana Menteri,Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad pada tahun 1999 – kini telah pun menjadi antara tumpuan utama bagi sukan permotoran di rantau Asia Tenggara.

Litar Sepang berjaya melahirkan ramai pelumba tempatan bertaraf dunia bermula dengan Shahrol Yuzy, Zulfahmi Khairuddin, Adam Noordin dan Azlan Shah Kamaruzaman.

Jumlah pengunjung yang hadir turut menampakkan peningkatan mendadak sekaligus menyaksikan edisi MotoGP di Sepang tahun lalu merekodkan kunjungan lebih 169,827 penonton!

180,000 Expected at Sepang International Circuit for 2019 Shell Malaysia MotoGP

The Sepang International Circuit launched the 2019 Shell Malaysia MotoGP tonight.
Some 180,000 spectators and visitors are expected this year.
It’s a great chance for Malaysian fans to cheer on our home team and riders.

The Sepang International Circuit (SIC) is working hard to prepare for the 2019 Shell Malaysia MotoGP from 1^stto 3^rdNovember. As many as a recording breaking number of 180,000 spectators and visitors are expected this year.

It is also a heady time as this year’s edition marks the 20^thanniversary of MotoGP in Malaysia. Adding to the historical aspect is the 70^thanniversary of the MotoGP championship, as a whole.

2019 also celebrates the 10th anniversary of Shell’s association with motorcycle grand prix racing in Malaysia.

Another significant aspect is the “homecoming” of our Malaysian teams in all Moto3, Moto2 and MotoGP classes. The PETRONAS Sepang Racing Team (SRT) in MotoGP is currently flying high through the heroic exploits of rookie sensation Fabio Quartararo. The PETRONAS Sprinta Racing Team in Moto2 is picking up and we already saw one victory via John McPhee in the Moto3 class.

KUALA LUMPUR, 16 July 2019– The MotoGP fever is back in Malaysia as the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) readies for the 20th edition of the Malaysia Motorcycle Grand Prix from November 1-3 2019.

In conjunction with the 20th anniversary of the Grand Prix in Malaysia, the organisers Sepang International Circuit has gone to great lengths to ensure it will be a special and memorable event for fans and riders alike.

The event this year will also be special as it will coincide with the 70th anniversary of the MotoGP, which was born in January 1949 with events consisting the Isle of Man TT, Swiss Grand Prix, Dutch TT, Belgian Grand Prix, Ulster Grand Prix and the Grand Prix of Nations at Monza.

Sepang International Circuit Chairman, Tan Sri Azman Yahya said the historical moment is bound to be a special occasion.

“It will be such a great honour to witness the 20th anniversary of the Malaysian Grand Prix this year – and also the 70th anniversary of the MotoGP,” said Tan Sri Azman.

It follows the concept of fans as the 12th man on the pitch on football matches to support their teams, the #KamiGearKe7 will provide the avenue for fans to show the support for Malaysian competing in the Malaysian Grand Prix.

“The hype will be much bigger this year as we have a Malaysian team racing in three different categories of the championship,” added Tan Sri Azman.

“The Petronas Yamaha Sepang Racing Team just bared their fangs when Fabio Quartararo finished second at the Catalunya Grand Prix and with Hafizh Syahrin and Khairul on the grid, Malaysians will have more to cheer for.

“It will also be something of a spectacle for the Indonesian fans out there as they will get to see their star Dimas Ekky Pratama racing in the Malaysian round in his first full season as a Moto2 rider. I’m sure many of them are eager to see what Dimas can do after stints in 2017 and 2018.”

Tickets for the Shell Malaysia Motorcycle Grand Prix was launched in October 2018 and is selling fast. “This year, though tickets remain at the same price for the MalaysianGP, there is an addition of 25% entertainment tax imposed by the state government. However, the event remains to be a much awaited one and tickets are selling fast. I encouraged all fans to start getting theirs now before it sells out”

“To ensure a comfortable and convenient experience for the fans, works has also started to fix the roofing of the Main Grandstand and better fittings for the public toilets. We are excited to see the new and improved roof during the race this year” Tan Sri Azman added.

SIC Pilih Adam Bagi Siri TCR Asia

Selepas penilaian yang intensif berdasarkan persembahan keseluruhan, Sepang International Circuit (SIC) telah menamakan pelumba muda, Adam Khalid sebagai pilihan mereka untuk mewakili litar itu bersama pasukan Engstler dalam Siri TCR Asia.

Adam bakal menggantikan calon tahun lalu, Mitchell Cheah yang kini telah pun beralih untuk bertanding di TCR Jerman.

Pelumba berusia 21 tahun itu – yang beraksi di Siri Kejohanan Malaysia (MCS) dan 1000km Perlumbaan Endurance tahun lalu – mengetepikan tiga calon lain – Mark Darwin, Brendan Paul Anthony dan Ahmad Akid Azlee.

“Kami menempatkan empat pelumba bagi TCR Malaysia, yang berlangsung sebanyak tiga pusingan dengan misi untuk mencari seorang wakil ke TCR Asia dibawah Program Perkembangan Bakat SIC. Kami berbesar hati untuk memilih Adam Khalid sebagai calon tersebut. Kesemua empat calon merupakan pelumba berbakat jadi amat sukar untuk kami membuat keputusan ini. Pemilihan bukan sahaja berdasarkan persembahan mereka malah mengambil kira ketahanan fizikal dan sikap mereka.

“SIC berbesar hati dengan kerjasama diantara Engstler dan Adam Khalid dan kami tidak sabar untuk sama-sama mencapai kejayaan di TCR Asia. Selain itu, ini bukan pengakhiran buat Mark, Brendan dan Akid. Ada peluang lain yang menanti mereka dan kami berharap mereka akan terus berusaha untuk kedepan. Kami mendoakan kejayaan mereka,” kata Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif SIC, Dato’Razlan Razali.

Adam menyertai MCS pertengahan musim lalu bersama Pasukan Hirev Dream Chaser dan tidak menunggu masa lama untuk ketua pasukan, C.Y Ong meluahkan rasa kagum terhadap prestasinya.

Meskipun dianggap muka baharu dalam dunia permotoran, Adam dianggap sebagai seorang yang cepat belajar dan dia berjaya menguasai skil yang diperlukan untuk menyaingi pelumba lain.

Dua kali menamatkan saingan di kedudukan P2 dalam Pusingan 4 MCS dan kedua keseluruhan dalam S1K menempatkan dirinya dalam Program Pembanguan SIC sekaligus terpilih menyertai pasukan Engstler dalam TCR Asia.

Dedikasi serta etika kerja yang amat tinggi dibantu dengan sokongan CY dan Mitchell, Adam dinamakan sebagai calon terbaik.

Tidak dapat menyembunyikan keterujaan, Adam tidak sabar untuk beraksi.

“Terpilih sebagai Pemandu Pembangunan Bakat SIC bagi tahun 2019 adalah batu loncatan yang amat besar dalam karier saya dan saya amat berterima kasih kepada mereka atas peluang besar ini. Saya akan berikan yang terbaik. Bukan mudah untuk mendapat peluang untuk berkerjasama di bawah pasukan berprestij seperti Engstler sementara di sokong SIC.

“Dalam jangka masa pendek, pasukan baru saya telah memberikan sokongan daripada segala aspek dan saya dapat berasakan kehadiran saya diterima pasukan sehingga saya berjaya menaiki podium dalam aksi sulung. Bagaimanapun, masih banyak yang saya perlu pelajari dalam TCR dan saya yakin jalinan di antara Engstler dan SIC adalah kombinasi yang terbaik,” ujar Adam.

Afridza Munandar, an Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup (IATC) rider passed away moments ago.

He sustained mortal injuries in a crash at Turn 10 on Lap 1 at the Sepang International Circuit.

Munandar was set to challenge for the IATC title this weekend.

MotoGP rider Franco Morbidelli will join the PETRONAS Sepang Racing Team squad for the FIM Endurance World Championship round in Sepang International Circuit.

He will join two other riders namely Hafizh Syahrin and four-time Suzuka 8 Hour endurance winner Michael van der Mark.

The round will take place from 13th to 15th December 2019.

PETRONAS Yamaha SRT Principal Dato’ Razlan Razali said that many thought Fabio Quartararo was the wrong choice before the start of the season.

Fabio is currently returning unexpectedly great results to the team.

The PETRONAS Yamaha SRT outfits will be the home team in the Malaysian MotoGP round.

The Sepang International Circuit launched the 2019 Shell Malaysia MotoGP tonight.

Some 180,000 spectators and visitors are expected this year.

It’s a great chance for Malaysian fans to cheer on our home team and riders.
