Aprilia turut menggunakan EICMA 2021 untuk memperkenalkan beberapa model baharu bagi tahun akan datang.

Pada hari pembuka tirai, pengeluar motosikal Itali itu mencuri tumpuan apabila memperkenalkan skuter ‘adventure’, SR GT 200.

Tampil dengan elemen ADV seperti Honda ADV 150, SR GT dilengkapi penghadang angin tinggi dan tiga lampu LED di bahagian depan yang juga tertonjol seakan menyamai sebuah ‘mudguard’.

Bahagian bawah tempat letak kaki juga menempatkan ‘bash plate’ sekaligus menimbulkan lagi elemen ADV.

Tempat duduk juga kelihatan luas dan lebar bagi penunggang manakala tempat duduk pembonceng pula berada lebih tinggi dan berfungsi sebagai ‘backrest’ bagi penunggang.

SR GT 200 ini ini tampil dengan tayar 14″ depan dan 13″ belakang bersama rim aloi.

Sementara itu, skuter tersebut didatangkan dengan enjin satu silinder 174cc yang menawarkan 17.43hp pada 8,500rpm dan 16.5Nm pada 7,000rpm.

Aprilia SR GT juga tampil dengan varian 125cc yang menawarkan 14.7hp dan 12Nm.

Sistem suspensi pula hadir menerusi fork teleskopik Showa dengan jarak perjalanan 122mm serta penyerap hentakan berkembar Showa di belakang.

Menariknya, suspensi Showa tersebut juga menyumbang kepada jarak kelegaan tanah (ground clearance) yang agak tinggi, 175mm.

Antara ciri menarik lain ditawarkan:

  • ABS
  • cakera brek 260mm depan dan 220mm belakang
  • paparan digital LCD
  • sistem start/stop
  • port pengecas USB
  • tempat letak barang 25L

Kawasaki has announced that the company will unveil three electric motorcycles in 2022.

The announcement came from Kawasaki Motors President Hiroshi Ito during his keynote address at Kawasaki’s EICMA presentation.

The announcement also confirmed the Japanese marquee plans to develop ten electric and hybrid motorcycles by 2025.

Nevertheless, it is still too early to discuss the kind of models that could be electrified by 2022.

But knowing that the firm recently ran a test on a Ninja 400 based electric motorcycle could also mean a production version is already in the works.

During the speech, Ito-san addresses the company’s commitment to pushing for a new power source that includes hydrogen and hybrids.

Looking at the level of commitment shown by Team Green, Kawasaki may well be on its way to becoming the pioneer of a new future for motorcycles.

In honour of a long-standing partnership with the Italian President’s security, Cuirassiers Regiment, Moto Guzzi has unveiled the limited edition V85 TT Guardia d’Honore.

Presented to the President of Italy, Sergio Mattarella, the special bike sports a gloss black livery with white accents painted at the front mudguard, fuel tank, side panels and windscreen.

The V85 TT Guardia d’Honore also features a taller windscreen, a centre stand, engine guard and auxiliary LED lights.

Customers can also get their hands on model-specific side panniers.

According to Moto Guzzi, there are only 1,946 units available with each bike will have the unit number engraved on the handlebar riser.

Nevertheless, the V85 TT Guardia d’Honore continue to make 80hp @ 7,750rpm and 80Nm @ 5,000rpm from the 853cc transverse V-Twin air-cooled engine.

All modern electronics including traction control, TFT display also available as standard.

Yamaha Tenere 700 merupakan antara motosikal ‘adventure’ paling popular di serata Eropah namun dengan pesaing lain telah pun mula memperkenalkan model baharu, Tenere 700 sedia ada mula ketinggalan.

Lantas bukan satu kejutan apabila Yamaha mendedahkan Tenere 700 Raid yang lengkap dengan spesifikasi lebih tinggi bagi mengetepikan pencabar lain.

Lengkap dengan segala aksesori daripada Genuine Yamaha Technology Racing (GYTR), jentera prototaip itu sedikit sebanyak memberi bayangan terhadap model ‘production’ yang akan diperkenalkan tidak lama lagi.

Berikut antara spesifikasi yang terdapat pada prototaip Tenere 700 Raid:

  • ekzos titanium Akrapovic
  • ECU GYTR
  • kotak dan penapis udara berprestasi tinggi
  • sproket 48
  • radiator yang lebih besar
  • penutup pam air baharu
  • klac heavy duty Rekluse
  • lever klac baharu

Yamaha Tenere 700 Raid ini juga tampil dengan fork depan jenis ‘long travel’ 48mm dengan jarak perjalanan 270mm serta penyerap hentakan belakang dengan jarak perjalanan 260mm.

Sistem membrek juga dinaik taraf dengan cakera brek tunggal di bahagian depan 300m yang dipadankan bersama cakera brek ‘racing’. Cakera brek belakang juga diperbesar kepada 267mm.

Buat masa ini tidak dapat disahkan bilakah Yamaha bakal memperkenalkan versi siap sepenuhnya namun prototaip ini sedikit sebanyak membayangkan model sebenar akan diperkenalkan tidak lama lagi.

Suzuki turut menggunakana EICMA 2021 sebagai platform mempersembahkan Katana baharu yang telah dikemas kini bagi tahun 2022.

Antara yang telah dipertingkat adalah bahagian enjin yang kini mencapai standard Euro5.

Kemas kini tersebut turut menyaksikan Suzuki Katana 2022 menawarkan 150hp naik 3hp berbanding generasi sebelumnya.

Antara pembaharuan dilakukan terhadap motosikal naked tersebut adalah bahagian intake dan camshaft ekzos, valve spring, ekzos, serta airbox baharu.

Kilang Hamamatsu turut melengkapkan Katana 2022 dengan klac slipper baharu, sistem ride-by-wire serta quickshifter.

Suzuki turut melakukan perubahan pada Suzuki Drive Mode Selector yang bertindak mengawal ‘mapping’ enjin. Perubahan tersebut menyaksikan perbezaan kuasa yang lebih ketara di antara setiap pemilihan ‘mapping’ enjin.

Bagaimanapun, ciri lain yang kekal adalah kerangka alminium jenis twin-spar dan swingarm dari GSX-R serta fork depan KYB boleh laras.

Manakala sistem membrek dikendaliakn kaliper Brembo yang dipadankan bersama cakera brek 310mm depan.

Meskipun naik taraf yang dilaksanakan tidak terlalu besar kerana Katana 2022 ini masih lagi tanpa IMU 6-axis namun sudah cukup membuatkan model ini lebih baik berbanding sebelumnya.

The Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP gets engine updates and more for 2022.

Although major parts of the CBR1000RR-R SP remains the same, the flagship superbike from Honda has been refined for better mid-range acceleration, something that could also help HRC at the WorldSBK.

While peak power remains at 214hp @ 14,500rpm, Honda has revamped the intake ports, airbox and mid-section exhaust.

Interestingly, Honda also increased the final drive sprocket to 43 from the previous 40.

Moving on to electronics, Honda has improved the traction control with a new algorithm for better rear-wheel traction followed by revised Nissin callipers.

Meanwhile, the standard Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade now gets an electronic steering damper along with Showa suspension.

Other key features include:

  • wheelie control
  • launch control
  • cornering ABS

Nonetheless, the main aspect that caught our attention is of course the 30th Anniversary livery that gives a nod to the 1992 Honda Fireblade.

According to the Japanese marquee, the bodywork is carried out by Hiroaki Tsukui, the same man behind the original Fireblade livery in 1992.

The V100 Mandello is not just another new motorcycle coming from Moto Guzzi, it also represents the brand bold move into the 21st century.

This is due to the fact that the V100 is the first production motorcycle to feature semi-active suspension, 6-axis IMU, cornering ABS, quickshifter and a liquid-cooled engine.

Basically, it is the first Moto Guzzi with everything modern and we are surprised that the V100 Mandello even has an adaptive aerodynamics package.

Nevertheless, as a sport-touring machine, the V100 Mandello still sport the classic element of a Moto Guzzi.

The V100 Mandello makes 115hp and 105Nm @ 3,500rpm from its 1,042cc transverse 90-degree V-Twin engine. The engine is also 103mm shorter than the V85 TT platform.

Thanks to a lower positioning of the drive shaft, the V100 Mandello offers a smooth ride during accelerating and decelerating on par to a bike with a chain drive.

It also features a 17.5L fuel tank and a large saddle comfortable for riders and pillion.

However, to increase comfort, the V100 is equipped with adaptive air deflectors located at the front fairing which extend to different degrees depending on the riding mode and bike speed.

 

According to Moto Guzzi, air deflectors can reduce wind disturbance up to 22%.

Moving on to the best bits, the V100 gets Öhlins semi-active suspension, traction control, three engine maps, and three engine braking that can be accessed via a 5″ TFT display.

The higher-spec V100 Mandello also features a quickshifter, heated grips, Moto Guzzi multimedia package and a smartphone connector.

Benelli turut membuka tirai EICMA 2021 dengan memperkenalkan TRK 800 serba baharu.

Menurut jenama motosikal Itali-China itu, TRK 800 direka di Benelli Style Centre dan dibangunkan di House of Leoncino yang terletak di Pesaro, Itali.

Menariknya, TRK 800 ini juga dilancarkan ketika jenama itu meraikan ulang tahun ke-110 sekaligus menandakan lembaran baharu syarikat itu.

TRK 800 bakal menyertai TRK 502 yang telah pun muncul sebagai antara motosikal paling popular di Itali untuk dua tahun berturut-turut.

Bagaimanapun, TRK 800 masih lagi mengekalkan elemen ADV dari TRK 502 dengan kehadiran mudguard depan, lampu LED berkembar dengan fungsi DRL (daytime running light).

Sementara itu, aspek terpenting adalah bahagian enjin yang dikuasakan silinder berkembar 754cc dengan penyejukan cecair yang sama terdapat pada Leoncino 800.

Hasilnya, TRK 800 menawarkan 76.2hp pada 8,500rpm dan 67Nm pada 6,500rpm dan dipadankan bersama transmisi 6-kelajuan dengan bantuan klac assist/slipper.

Motosikal ini juga mengekalkan penggunaan kerangka tubular trellis dengan plat ‘high-strength steel’ sekaligus menjaminkan tunggangan lebih lincah dan selesa terutamanya untuk tunggangan jarak jauh.

Menariknya, Benelli turut memberi tumpuan pada tahap keselesaan penunggang dan pembonceng.

Antara ciri menarik lain ditawarkan:

  • fork depan upside/down Marzocchi 50mm (rebound/compression boleh laras)
  • monoshock belakang dengan preload/damping boleh laras
  • tangki 21L
  • paparan skrin TFT 7″
  • brek kaliper 4-pot Brembo dengan cakera brek 320mm depan dan 260mm belakang
  • tayar 19″ depan dan 17″ belakang

Menurut Benelli, TRK 800 akan mula dipasarkan pada pertengahan 2022.

Pengeluar motosikal Itali, MV Agusta mengesahkan bakal melancarkan dua motosikal ‘adventure’ baharu pada 23 November ini di EICMA.

Pengumuman tersebut sekaligus mengesahkan kenyataan CEO MV Agusta, Timur Sardarov sebelum ini yang memaklumkan motosikal ADV tersebut akan dikuasakan enjin 950cc.

Salah satu daripada motosikal tersebut turut dilihat menjalani ujian jalan raya baru-baru ini.

Menurut MV Agusta lagi, kedua-dua model itu juga akan dibuka untuk pra-tempahan pada 23 November nanti.

Sementara itu, bagi meraikan ketibaan dua model baharu itu, MV Agusta turut melancarkan projek Lucky Explorer yang bertujuan meraikan peminat rali dan perlumbaan ‘off-road’.

“Saya teruja dengan pelancaran projek istimewa ini. Lucky Explorer bukan sahaja tentang motosikal tetapi juga tentang emosi dan memori yang berlaku di belakang tabir,” jelas Sardarov.

Just three months before the most extensive motorcycle exhibition opens its doors to visitors in Milan, the 78th edition EICMA now unveils its all-new logo and slogan.

EICMA will now go as International Two Wheels Exhibition (Esposizione Internazionale Delle Duo Ruote) instead of the World Motorcycle Exhibition as they were previously known for.

The organizers decided to change from ‘motorcycle’ to ‘two-wheels’ because they claimed the name ‘bicycle and motorcycle’ is too old-fashioned and would not reflect the current day and age.

According to EICMA, the new red logo represents the centrality of the passion for the sector, remains, and the EICMA logotype comes out from inside the symbol to become the absolute focus externally. The visual elements that make it up – the circle and the fork. are also reinterpreted.

2021 EICMA is set to draw thousands of people around the globe.

Kymco will participate in the 78th Edition EICMA scheduled from 23 to 28 November in Milan.

Kymco has developed quite a strong impression in the two-wheel industry, thanks to its range of performance-oriented scooters.

The company participation was confirmed by Stefano Gianotti, legal representative of the Padana Sviluppo Group, whose subsidiary, KMI Italia Srl, is responsible for distributing the Kymco motorcycles in Italy.

“It is a pleasure for us to confirm the presence of Kymco at EICMA even in such a particular and challenging year.

“After the forced stop of 2020, it is important to give a signal to restart and return to normality, and EICMA is a symbolic event not only in the two-wheel sector but also throughout the world of exhibitions and events at an international level,” he said.

The Taiwanese motorcycle and scooter manufacturer now joins Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Benelli, Royal Enfield and MV Agusta at the world biggest motorcycle exhibition.

Schiranna-based motorcycle company MV Agusta will return to the 2021 EICMA in Milan.

The confirmation will see MV Agusta taking part in the 5-days exhibition scheduled to take place from November 23 to 28 in the pavilions of Fiera Milano.

According to Timur Sardarov, CEO of MV Agusta Motor, the 2021 EICMA is to look out for this year.

“The Milan show is an unmissable fixture for MV Agusta, a highly prestigious showcase in which to express the style and strength of our made in Italy products, made up of technology and engineering, avant-garde, but also of high craftsmanship and know-how acquired in 75 years of pure passion.

“Over the years, we have presented our most important innovations to the world at EICMA, and this year too we will not fail to surprise our fans and the industry experts,” he said.

MV Agusta now joins Honda and Yamaha alongside Suzuki for the 2021 EICMA.
