2020 Yamaha Y15ZR GP Edition unveiled – RM8,868

Like MotoGP? A fan of the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP squad? Hong Leong Yamaha Motor (HLYM) has unveiled its latest 2020 Yamaha Y15ZR GP Edition with the same livery used by Valentino Rossi and Maverick Vinales for the 2020 season and it is super sweet to look at.

The recommended retail price for the 2020 Yamaha Y15ZR GP Edition is RM8,868 (excluding insurance, road tax & registration). Each bike comes with a certificate of authentication and even more special, a limited-edition Yamaha Y15ZR smartwatch plus a brake disc lock (while stocks last).

With that being said, the rest of the specs for the GP edition Y15ZR remain the same, including its 150cc single-cylinder SOHC liquid-cooled engine which produces around 15hp at 8,500rpm and 13.8Nm of maximum torque at 7,000rpm.

Sending all that power down to rear wheel is done via a five-speed manual transmission and final chain drive. Speaking of wheels, the Y15ZR is prepped with 17-inch blacked-out wheels wrapped with an agile 90/80 rubber up front and a fat 120/70 rear setup. The end result? A muscular-looking cub with a cult following here in Malaysia.

The 2020 Yamaha Y15ZR GP Edition will be arriving at authorised showrooms nationwide starting this month and if you’re aware of how enthusiasts love to snatch this as quickly as they can, you better be one step ahead if you want to be amongst the first to ride this beauty on the road.
