Isle of Man TT: Who’s going to ride the Honda RC213V-S?

The Padgett Honda team is currently looking for a racer to ride their Honda RC213V-S at this year’s Isle of Man TT.

Their current rider, Bruce Anstey, unfortunately, dropped out of all road races this year due to cancer.

The team has stated that the Honda RC213V-S will still make it to this year’s TT even if there’s no replacement rider.

The Padgett’s Motorcycle Honda team has stated that they will still bring the crème of the crème Honda RC213V-S to this year’s Isle of Man TT race. Despite their star rider, Bruce Anstey, dropping out of all road races this year due to critical illness, the team is still looking on the bright side of things. (more…)

Guy Martin withdraws from first road race comeback

Guy Martin has announced that he won’t be participating in this weekend’s Cookstown 100 road race.

This weekend’s event was set for Martin’s return to road racing after a difficult season with Honda Racing.

Guy hopes that he’s able to fix his classic BSA Rocket 3 in time for next week’s Tandragee 100 road race.

It was just last month when road racing figure and living legend Guy Martin announced that he’ll be returning to road racing. Although it’s not exactly on 300km/h superbikes, the return which was said to be in a classic bike race was cut short when he reported that his BSA Rocket 3 machine suffered from gearbox problems. MOTOGP: Johann Zarco to KTM factory team in 2019?

It seems that MotoGP rider Johann Zarco is set to make his move to the KTM factory team in 2019.

The latest rumour has indicated that the Frenchman has reached a ‘verbal agreement’ with the Austrian manufacturer.

If this is true, Zarco will be a KTM factory rider and will ride their latest KTM RC16 MotoGP bike in 2019 and 2020.

A recent report made by Motorsport.com has stated that current Monster Yamaha Tech 3 rider Johann Zarco is ready to make his move to KTM next season. The French rider has long been associated with the Austrian manufacturer even since his current team confirmed their move to KTM machinery next season. (more…)

Is this the most beautiful custom Yamaha XSR900 ever?

The latest Yard Built project led to the birth of one of the world’s most beautiful custom Yamaha XSR900 yet.

Built by England’s Auto Fabrica, the bike is known as Type 11 Prototype series.

The track-only version is Prototype One whereas the road-going model is the Prototype Two.

If you’re a fan of the Yard Built project, you should also know that Yamaha has had a lot of custom bikes being produced through this platform. It also led to the production of the Yamaha XSR900 and this time around, the manufacturer together with customizer Auto Fabrica has created what we think one of the most beautiful custom Yamaha yet. Indian recalls bikes that can start on their own?

Indian Motorcycle is recalling 3,341 units of bikes in the US where they can potentially start on their own.

The issue stems from a potential corrosion that may happen within the right combination switch.

Some of the 2018 Indian Chief, Chieftain, Springfield, and Roadmaster series have been identified with the issue.

We’ve come across a few motorcycle recalls in our lifetimes so far and this is by far one the weirdest ones we’ve heard yet. Apparently, Indian Motorcycle in the United States is recalling about 3,341 of their bikes which have the potential to gain a new ability – starting up on their own. (more…)

Alpinestars 55th anniversary custom bike

Alpinestars recently celebrated their 55^th anniversary last weekend with the Alpinestars 55^th anniversary custom bike.

The custom bike was built by Michael Wooloway of Woolies Workshop from California.

It is powered by a 1974 Ducati 750 Sport build race engine and other MotoGP-inspired components used by their greatest riders.

During the last MotoGP round that is the Grand Prix of the Americas in Texas, Italian’s premium motorcycle clothing manufacturer Alpinestars celebrated their 55^th anniversary in the industry. How? By giving themselves a one-off custom bike as a gift! (more…)

2018 Aprilia RSV4 RF LE – 125 units with aero fairings!

The 2018 Aprilia RSV4 RF LE is the world’s first bike which has been fitted with aero fairings.

The design was obviously inspired by their MotoGP project bike, the Aprilia RS-GP.

Only 125 units will be made for the North American market at $24,499 (around RM95,484) each.

Meet the world’s first production superbike which comes ready with aero fairings and no, you can’t have one. Aprilia will only produce 125 units of the 2018 Aprilia RSV4 RF LE for the North American market where 100 of these babies will be available in the US and the other 25 in Canada. (more…)

Say hello to the 2018 Honda Monkey!

Honda Europe has unveiled the 2018 Honda Monkey which is ready for production.

The new 125cc Monkey features modern specs like LCD meter, LED lights, ABS, IMU, and USD forks.

Its 125cc single-cylinder engine is able to produce 9.3hp and 11Nm of torque.

Honda’s most famous mini-bike is back in its latest evolution yet. The 2018 Honda Monkey is the most updated mini-bike in its series which comes with the latest specifications and electronics you wouldn’t normally find on a 125cc bike. (more…)

MOTOGP: Marc Marquez takes sixth straight win in Texas

Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda) took home his sixth consecutive MotoGP win yesterday at the Circuit of the Americas.

Maverick Vinales (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP) got his groove back and finished strong in second place.

Andrea Iannone (Team Suzuki Ecstar) gave Suzuki their first back-to-back podium finishes by finishing the race in third.

Despite receiving a three-place grid penalty which saw Repsol Honda rider Marc Marquez starting the race from the fourth position, the defending champion and the Circuit of the Americas records holder showed everyone why he’s still the man to beat this year. (more…)

Royal Enfield flagship store launched in Shah Alam

The Royal Enfield flagship store and dealership has been officially launched in Shah Alam, Selangor.

Spearheaded by RE Motorcycles Sdn Bhd, the flagship store is already running at full swing with sales and after-sales services.

The Classic, Bullet, and Rumbler series are already available with more models coming in soon.

Royal Enfield aka “The oldest motorcycle brand in the world in continuous production” has launched their first ever official dealership here in Shah Alam, Selangor earlier today. MotoGP: Maverick Vinales gets pole position in America

Movistar Yamaha MotoGP rider Maverick Vinales has been promoted to pole position.

Repsol Honda’s Marc Marquez did set the fastest time but will start from fourth after he was given a three-place grid penalty.

Andrea Iannone (Team Suzuki Ecstar) and Johann Zarco (Monster Yamaha Tech 3) completes the front row.

It was a qualifying session filled with drama at the Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas yesterday as they battle it out for race position on Sunday. The MotoGP qualifying session saw Repsol Honda rider and defending champion setting the fastest lap of the day even after a rough tumble at Turn 13. (more…)

“R nineT family is now complete” – BMW Motorrad

BMW Motorrad recently announced that their Heritage R nineT family is now complete with five models.

This also means that there will be no more new additions to the R nineT line-up.

They also report a 7.2% worldwide sales increase for the first two months of 2018 with 18,627 unit sales.

The latest BMW Motorrad annual report has stated that their Heritage line which comprises of five different R nineT models is now ‘complete’. This also means that there will be no more retro additions in that particular family which already have the standard R nineT, R nineT Pure, R nineT Racer, R nineT Scrambler, and the R nineT Urban G/S.
