Newly conceived from scratch, the G 310 R represents everything BMW Motorrad stands for: innovation, quality and of course many years of carefree partnership with its owner. Designed specifically for the world market, the BMW G 310 R can run on the most diverse fuel qualities, meets all emission standards and local requirements – and takes the typical BMW premium aspiration to the segment under 500 cc.

The powerfully expressive design of the BMW G 310 R instantly reveals its agile, dynamic character, making a clear statement within its own segment. It has an unmistakeable visual kinship with athletic family members such as the BMW S 1000 R. The small headlamp mask with striking headlamp, dynamically modelled fuel tank trim elements and characteristic roadster proportions with a striking front section and dynamic rear give the BMW G 310 R a mature presence on the road. Precisely modelled surfaces define the dynamic side view. The compact, dynamic proportions and the short wheelbase promise fast changes of direction, while the high rear conveys a lightness that is suggestive of the bike’s sporty genes. In spite of the clearly visible naked bike character of the BMW G 310 R, the side surfaces in body colour create a closed silhouette in athletic style. High-end details such as a standard upside-down fork, quality materials, supplementary fittings and excellent workmanship all reflect the finest within the segment, clearly underscoring the premium aspiration of the BMW G 310 R. Yamaha Takes Successful First Steps to Superbike Return

Yamaha Motor Europe’s return to the FIM Superbike World Championship began in earnest this week with a preliminary two-day test at the Circuito de Jerez, in Spain, introducing riders Alex Lowes and Sylvain Guintoli to the new Pata Yamaha YZF-R1.

Successfully achieving its objectives, the initial test programme focused on familiarising the new riders, team members and management structure with each other, and with their tools for the coming season’s championship challenge, the YZF-R1.

While the forecast threatened limited track action for the opening day, the poor weather failed to materialise allowing Lowes and Guintoli to complete 121 and 100 laps respectively throughout the two full-days. Tuesday’s session began tentatively as the track dried from the previous day’s deluge, but both riders were fully up to speed by the afternoon, continuing the hard work and good weather into Wednesday. Akrapovič Launches First Titanium Version of Its (r)evolutionary Exhaust

Akrapovič has taken its fantastic (r)evolutionary exhaust that premiered at the 2014 Intermot show and created the first titanium version, which will initially be available for the stunning Ducati Multistrada 1200.

The innovative shape of the Slip-On Line (Titanium) system was designed by company founder Igor Akrapovič and has already featured in a carbon-fibre construction for several bikes, including the original concept version at the Intermot Show in Cologne. The unique muffler is a dynamic upgrade of the hexagonal version that Akrapovič successfully developed some years ago and demonstrates a revolutionary evolution, which shows why Akrapovič is at the very pinnacle of high-performance exhaust technology.
