As the Managing Director of Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn. Bhd., En. Shairan Huzani Husain said, “It’s not easy to convince people the petroleum companies actually care about the environment.” But Shell Malaysia is now the first petroleum company to have certified “green retail fuel stations” not only in Malaysia, but in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.
To Shell, it is their responsibility to care for the wellbeing of the planet, while supplying energy resources to consumers. Truth is, Shell not only researches on better fossil fuels and other petroleum products, but also energy solutions for the future including electric vehicles.
As such, Shell Malaysia embarked on a quest to turn their retail stations into environmentally-friendly those with “Green Building Index (GBI)” certification. Two stations have been awarded as such, one in Damansara Jaya and another in Taman Connaught.
En. Shairan further added that Shell Malaysia will reduce the carbon footprint of their stations by 50% cum 2025.

Shell Malaysia announced the first winner of the Win a Trip with Shell contest during its official launch today. A winner is chosen each week and they can request a holiday package among New Zealand, South Korea or Italy.
The first winner, Wan Muhammad Fathi Bin Wan Nik Kamal chose New Zealand as his dream destination.

Bhd. said, “Customers are our priority here at Shell and we aim to make life’s journeys better for all. Additionally, there will be roadshows across the nation featuring interactive set-ups to showcase the grand prizes. Customers who choose Italy can try their hands on an F1 simulator. On the other hand, customers who opt for New Zealand can try a Haka chant. As for customers who choose South Korea, they can dance-off to K-Pop music.

In conjunction with the upcoming 2018 MotoGP World Championship happening at the Sepang International Circuit this weekend, Shell Malaysia organised a very special meet and greet session between Ducati factory team rider, Jorge Lorenzo, and his die hard fans. The event was held at Fountain Cafe, Pavillion KL.
Fans of the motorsports as well as the five-time world champion were able to meet their hero alongside Ducsti Corse Sporting Director & MotoGP Project Director, Paolo Ciabatti. Proud members of the Desmo Owners Club Malaysia (DOCM) also made their way to the event for even more festivities.
Items were signed by Jorge Lorenzo as well as pictures snapped with his loyal followers here in Malaysia but more importantly, this love and support will ultimately assist him in obtaining more positive results this weekend for the Shell Malaysia Motorcycle Grand Prix round at Sepang after missing the past two rounds due to injuries.
In conjunction with the 2018 Malaysian MotoGP round, Shell Malaysia will also be organising yet another Shell Advance Ride Thru service campaign all weekend long. Sometimes, dreams do come through, especially for Khairil Anuar Abdul Rasol, 35, when he won a brand-new Ducati Monster 797 through his participation in the recent Shell Advance Buy & Win Consumer Contest.
