KTM dengan rasminya memperkenalkan KTM 390 Duke 2024 untuk pasaran global yang hadir dengan pelbagai ciri baharu.

Bagi tahun 2024, 390 Duke tampil dengan enjin 399cc baharu menggantikan platform 373cc sebelum ini. Hasilnya, enjin baharu itu menawarkan 44hp dan 39Nm berbanding 42.9hp dan 37Nm yang ditawarkan pada model terdahulu.

Untuk rekod, KTM mengekalkan beberapa ciri yang terdapat pada versi sebelumnya termasuk klac slipper, quickshifter dan transmisi manual 6-kelajuan namun versi 2024 ini jug telah dinaik taraf dengan pakej elektronik baharu yang merangkumi ‘launch control’ dan tiga mod menunggang; Rain, Street dan Track.

Selain itu, model 2024 ini juga datang dengan panel meter digital 5-inci baharu yang turut boleh disambung kepada telefon pintar selain menawarkan ciri ‘turn-by-turn navigation.

Dari segi rekaan, KTM 390 Duke 2024 ini juga tampil lebih sporty dan agresif terutamanya dengan rekaan lampu depan baharu. Reka bentuk tangki yang berlainan juga menyumbang kepada rupa keseluruhan yang lebih agresif.

KTM juga memperkenalkan casis baharu pada 390 Duke terbaru ini termasuk fork USD WP boleh laras (fully-adjustable) serta cakera brek depan dan belakang. Menariknya, model 2024 ini juga bukan sahaja dilengkapi ABS dwi-saluran malah termasuk cornering ABS dan Supermoto ABS.

Buat masa ini di Malaysia, genersi 390 Duke sedia ada dijual pada harga RM31,800. Kami jangkakan akan berlaku kenaikan harga bagi model 2024 ini sekiranya dipasarkan disini nanti.

Next-Gen KTM 390 Duke Could Feature Bigger Displacement

This isn’t the first time that the next-generation KTM 390 Duke has been spotted testing in India.

The upcoming single-cylinder naked motorcycle could feature bigger displacement.

In fact, from the previous sighting, we already conclude that the upcoming 390 Duke will feature a revised engine and rerouted exhaust system.

However, there’s also an ongoing rumour that the 390 Duke will get a bump in displacement to 399cc.

In an exciting development, the latest spy shot does suggest that the next-gen 390 Duke sports a larger radiator with a twin-fan setup (the current model only has one) as reported by AutoCarIndia.

This could suggest that the upcoming model offers more power, likely due to the increase in displacement.

While the turn of events sounds exciting, there is also the possibility that the extra fan is simply to help improve cooling for the current engine, similar to the one found in the 390 Adventure.

Also, the spy shot revealed a revised swingarm, assuming it’s lighter than the current model. The test mule also features a sharper fuel tank design, redesigned headlight and a wider saddle.

The new 390 Duke is expected to be launched sometime this year.

The KTM 390 Duke is one of the most rip-roaring bikes we’ve tested. Small as it may seem, the 2018 model rode more like a 500cc bike rather than a 372cc single-banger.

There isn’t others like it as most of its peers are dual-cylinder machines. But KTM made the 390 Duke in their “Ready to Race” spirit, hence the ability to use it for the daily commute and at a trackday. Many riders agree and it is actually KTM’s best-seller throughout the world.

And while we don’t see a reason to upgrade it, the manufacturer thinks otherwise, apparently.

Recently, RideApart reported that the prototype of the 2021 version was spotted testing.

Check out the photo. There’s a new headlight and TFT screen up-front. The front turnsignals are attached to the meter’s mount. Look closer and you’ll see the new frame and the engine is mounted on V-shaped hangers rather the single “bone” we see on the current model. The lower triple clamp behind the headlight is massive, hinting towards a change in geometry. Further back, the swingarm is likewise different.

The seats look thicker and bigger in the picture but they are probably dummies used during testing.

KTM MY RIDE has introduced a brand new navigation update for their 2017 models which come with their TFT screen.

The new addition to their MY RIDE application can be displayed on the dash for the KTM 1290 Super Adventure S/R models.

With the new update, KTM owners can enjoy music, answer calls and get turn-by-turn navigation without any external devices.

ByBre is short for ‘By Brembo’ is a brand developed by the major brake manufacturer specifically for small to medium displacement motorcycles.

Bikes like the Modenas Pulsar RS200, Modenas Pulsar NS200, KTM 250 Duke, KTM 390 Duke and many more all use ByBre brakes.

Being a motorcycle owner has its ups and downs. Apart from owning some very lovely machines that make heads turn in excitement, we also have to constantly worry about the physical wellbeing of our beloved motorcycles. This is especially true when it comes to bike thefts. (more…)

KTM Akan Memulakan Pengilangan Motosikal Husqvarna Di India Menjelang 2020

Motosikal KTM yang telah dikilangkan di India oleh Bajaj Auto akan mula menghasilkan motosikal Husqvarna menjelang tahun 2020.
Kilang yang terletak di Chakan ini telah mengilangkan lebih daripada 100,000 unit motosikal KTM terutamanya motosikal 125 Duke, 390 Duke RC125 dan RC 390.
Bajaj merancang untuk menggandakan jumlah itu apabila mereka mula menghasilkan rangkaian motosikal Husqvarna 401 2017 yang telah dinanti-nantikan menjelang akhir tahun 2019.

KTM will start manufacturing Husqvarna bikes in India by 2020

KTM motorcycles which are manufactured in India by Bajaj Auto will start producing Husqvarna bikes by the year 2020.

The plant which is located in Chakan is currently manufacturing over 100,000 units of KTM bikes particularly the 125 Duke, 390 Duke, RC125 and RC390.

Bajaj plans to double those numbers when they start producing the highly-awaited 2017 Husqvarna 401 series by the end of 2019.

Austria’s leading motorcycle manufacturer KTM has big plans for 2020 which involves total global domination with the assistance from India’s Bajaj Auto. Part of their plan is to start rolling out Husqvarna bikes at the Chakan manufacturing plant by the end of 2019. (more…)
