  • Kawasaki baru sahaja melancarkan motosikal terbaru mereka, Kawasaki ZX-10RR 2018 yang secara amnya mengandungi pertukaran dua warna pada komponennya.
  • Motosikal ZX-10RR ini masih menggunakan enjin DOHC, empat-selari, sejukan cecair, 998cc, sedia perlumbaanya itu yang telah diperhalusi sedikit untuk reliabiliti dan prestasi yang lebih baik.
  • Generasi terbaru ZX-10RR ini telah diletakkan harganya bermula dari £16,249 (sekitar RM90,959) di pasaran United Kingdom (UK).

Kawasaki has just launched their latest 2018 Kawasaki ZX-10RR which comprises of mainly two colour changes to the components.

The 2018 ZX-10RR still carries its race-ready 998cc, liquid-cooled, inline-four, DOHC engine which has been slightly refined for better performance and reliability.

The latest generation ZX-10RR has been priced from £16,249 (around RM90,959) in the UK market.

Kawasaki has just revealed the latest generation superbike that is the 2018 Kawasaki ZX-10RR. Highly regarded as one of the best superbikes around and proven at the hands of the 2017 WorldSBK World Champion Jonathan Rea of Kawasaki Racing Team (KRT), the latest evolution comprises of mainly ‘two colour changes to the components’.   • Desas-desus telah tersebar mengenai usaha untuk memancing juara WorldSBK, Jonathan Rea untuk menyertai Suzuki dalam siri MotoGP.
  • Dengan prestasi penunggang utama semasa SUZUKI ECSTAR, Andrea Iannone, tidak mencapai tahap yang mereka harapkan, Dorna dan Suzuki dikatakan sedang dalam perbincangan dalam usaha untuk mendapatkan khidmat Juara Dunia WorldSBK itu.
  • Sekiranya perpindahan ini berjaya, terdapat satu kemungkinan yang besar Suzuki mampu bersaing dengan pasukan pengilang dan juga menjadikan siri WorldSBK berdaya saing semula bagi penunggang-penunggang yang lain.

Rumours have been floating around regarding the effort of trying to lure WorldSBK champion Jonathan Rea to join Suzuki in MotoGP.

With Team SUZUKI ECSTAR’s current star rider Andrea Iannone not performing as they had hoped, Dorna and Suzuki are said to be in talks in trying to pull in the WorldSBK World Champion.

If the transfer is successful, there’s a huge possibility that Suzuki will be able to fight against other factory teams as well as making the WorldSBK competitive again for other riders.

The last MotoGP round was full action, drama and action despite the exclusion of nine-time World Champion, Valentino Rossi from the Movistar Yamaha squad. It was yet another unfruitful race for Team SUZUKI ECSTAR as their supposedly number one rider Andrea Iannone had retire after 12 laps in the rain. (more…)

  • Penunggang kelahiran Malaysia, Azlan Shah Kamaruzaman telah berjaya menduduki tempat di atas podium di tempat ke-dua bersama dengan pasukan Kawasaki Team Green bagi perlumbaan Suzuka 8 Hours 2017 FIM World Endurance Championship pada hari Ahad lalu.
  • Bersama dengan penunggang BSB, Leon Haslam, dan penunggang dari Jepun,Kazuma Watanabe, Team Green merangkul tempat ke-dua dibelakang pasukan Yamaha Factory Racing Team yang membawa pulang kemenangan ke-tiga berturut-turut.
  • Pasukan F.C.C TSR Honda menamatkan perlumbaan di tempat ke-tiga dengan jentera perlumbaan mereka, Honda CBR1000R SP2 yang telah dikemudi oleh Randy de Puniet, Dominique Aegerter dan Josh Hook.

Our very own Malaysian rider Azlan Shah Kamaruzaman made it to a podium finish in second together with Kawasaki Team Green in the 2017 Suzuka 8 Hours FIM Word Endurance Championship race in Suzuka yesterday.

Together with BSB rider Leon Haslam and Japanese Kazuma Watanabe, Team Green scored the second podium position just behind the Yamaha Factory Racing Team which took home their third consecutive win.

Team F.C.C TSR Honda finished in third with their Honda CBR1000RR SP2 race machine piloted by Randy de Puniet, Dominique Aegerter and Josh Hook.

Besides the annual Art of Speed Malaysia 2017 gathering, the 40th Coca Cola Suzuka 8 Hours FIM World Endurance Championship took place in Suzuka, Japan this past weekend. This weekend also marked a historic moment where three Malaysian riders competed in the iconic eight hours race but what’s even more amazing was the fact that one of our very own made it onto the podium!   • Sesetengah pihak telah mengatakan bahawa format grid terbalik yang terkini dalam WorldSBK tidak membuahkan hasil seperti apa yang telah diharapkan.
  • Rancangannya adalah untuk meletakkan para penamat di atas podium bagi Perlumbaan 1 dalam kedudukan terbalik dari baris yang ketiga dengan harapan yang ianya akan memberikan peluang kepada pasukan dan penunggang namun ianya tidak berjaya.

Some folks have been arguing that the latest WorldSBK reverse grid format has not been working out as well as they had hoped it would be.

The plan was to get the podium finishers of Race 1 to start in reverse order from the third row in hopes that they would other riders and teams a fighting chance was doomed from the beginning.

Almost 94% of the podium finishes so far has been filled by Jonathan Rea and Tom Sykes from Kawasaki Racing Team together with Chaz Davies and Marco Melandri from Aruba.it Racing – Ducati.

According to a recent report made by MCN, the big guns over at WorldSBK are seriously contemplating on whether to scrap the reverse grid system which was introduced into the race series earlier this year. It seems that the format is not working out as well as they had hoped for. (more…)

  • Pusingan keenam dalam siri perlumbaan WorldSBK musim ini berlangsung di Donington Park hujung minggu lalu menyaksikan Tom Sykes dan Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing Team) mendominasi kedua-dua perlumbaan, menyumbang kepada kemenangan yang ke-100 dalam kejohanan ini bagi pasukan itu.
  • Tom Sykes memenangi Perlumbaan 1 diikuti oleh Leon Haslam (Kawasaki Puccetti Racing) di tempat kedua dan Alex Lowes (Pata Yamaha Official WorldSBK Racing) di tempat ketiga.
  • Jonathan Rea bertarung dengan hebat sekali di Perlumbaan 2 dan memenanginya diikuti oleh Tom Sykes dan Chaz Davies.

The sixth round of the WorldSBK race held in Donington Park last weekend saw Tom Sykes and Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing Team) dominated both races contributing to the team’s 100th win in the championship.

Tom Sykes won Race 1 with Leon Haslam (Kawasaki Puccetti Racing) in second followed by Alex Lowes (Pata Yamaha Official WorldSBK Racing) in third.

Jonathan Rea made an amazing comeback in Race 2 with the win followed by Tom Sykes and Chaz Davies.

It was a clear and landslide victory for both the Kawasaki Racing Team riders this past race weekend during the UK Round of the WorldSBK race held at the legendary Donington Park. After an interesting outcome from Race 1 which saw two of the top podium contenders crashing out, it was Tom Sykes (Kawasaki Racing Team) aka “The King of Donington” who took the whole shot for Race 1.   • WorldSBK sedang mempertimbangkan untuk memperkenalkan pakej elektronik yang diselaras bagi kesemua motosikal yang bertanding dalam perlumbaan.
  • Idea ini telah diutarakan untuk menjadikan sukan ini lebih berdaya saing dan mengujakan buat pasukan dan penunggang yang mengambil bahagian dan juga untuk para penonton.
  • ECU yang diselaras spesifikasinya ini diharapkan dapat memberikan peluang kepada pasukan dan penunggang lain untuk muncul di atas podium memandangkan lima pusingan pertama musim 2017 dengan jelas sekali dikuasai oleh Kawasaki dan juga Ducati.

The WorldSBK scene is considering introducing a standardised electronic package for all bikes competing in the races.

This has been brought into light to make the sport more competitive and exciting for teams and riders taking parts and also for the spectators as well.

The regulated spec-ECU hopes to give a fighting chance for other teams and riders to make it on podium as the first five rounds of 2017 were clearly dominated by only Kawasaki and Ducati.

The WorldSBK has been going through a few evolutions for the past couple of years to make sure that the motorsport is up to date with current times. With the introduction of the new starting line up where the podium finishers in Race 1 will start from the third row in reversed order, the WorldSBK is doing everything they can to make the races as interesting as they can be.

Now, rumours are floating around the garages that they will be introducing a standard ECU (Electronic Control Unit) for 2018 in hopes that the races will give a fair competition to all manufacturers and teams in the WorldSBK arena. This option has been discussed for a while now to make the race more exciting and competitive for all competitors in the field.

The other reason why some folks are calling out for the unified electronic packages is probably due to the fact that the sport is being dominated by the likes of Ducati and Kawasaki. All 10 races in the past five rounds since the start of the 2017 season has clearly being conquered by Jonathan Rea from Kawasaki Racing Team and Chaz Davies from Aruba.it Racing Ducati squad.

Actually, the podiums finishes for all of the 2017 races so far are all shared between just four different riders; Jonathan Rea and Tom Sykes from Kawasaki, Chaz Davies and Marco Melandri from Ducati. No other manufacturers have stepped up to the podium spot so far.

This is probably due to the fact that Kawasaki and Ducati have the necessary funds and manpower to develop superior electronic packages for their bikes and riders while other manufacturers are somewhat limited in those two aspects. So, we can understand why there’s a calling for a standardised electronic package like MotoGP to even out the playing field.

All in all, there’s one question remains. Will the spec-ECU help the sport or will it affect the overall development of the manufacturer’s products when they go on sale in their respective showrooms? Well, race wins are a good way to promote the brands and products and those participating in the races do want to win.

We will only know in the near future whether the spec-ECU will be implemented in the world superbikes championship as how it is in MotoGP. One thing is for sure, an even playing field offers a much more interesting race instead of just seeing either green or red on crossing the finish lines time and time again.
