Episode 6 of the Ducati World Premiere 2023 takes us to the unveiling of the all-new 2023 Ducati Diavel V4.

Since there is a lot to write about Ducati’s latest take on its latest mega cruiser, here are five things you need to know about the all-new Ducati Diavel V4.

  1. Engine

The Diavel has moved from its V-Twin setup to Ducati’s latest V4 engine.

Ducati has been synonymous with the V-Twin for quite some time but due to performance limitations, the Italian firm decided to move to the new V4 configuration that began with the Panigale V4 before naturally trickle down to the Streetfighter and the Multistrada.

However, the one fitted on the new Diavel is the Granturismo V4 engine found in the Multistrada V4. As a result, it features longer service interval and offers a mid range grunt.

According to Ducati, the Diavel V4 makes 168hp and 126Nm, making it more powerful than the Diavel 1260S although the latter makes higher peak torque at 129Nm.

  1. Weight

Thanks to the new engine, it allows Ducati to ditched the steel trellis frame on the previous generation Diavel for a new lightweight aluminium monocoque chassis for the Diavel V4.

As a result, Ducati saved 5kg from the engine and 8kg from the bike’s overall weight. That said, Ducati shed 13kg from the previous model.

  1. Comfort

This is the part where things got interesting because while it may be a cruiser, the Diavel V4 seat height registered at  790mm which is tall for a cruiser yet is low for a sporty naked bike.

Nonetheless, the handlebar is now 20mm closer to the rider which helps to improved riders ergonomics and comfort.

On top of that, Ducati adds more rear travel to the rear suspension which now sits at 145mm, 15mm more than the 1260. Ducati claimed that the longer rear travel allows for more comfort not just for the rider but also for pillions.

  1. Tech

There’s 5-inch TFT instrument display which you can access four riding modes including Sport, Touring, Urban and (newly added) Wet mode.

Also added is an up and down quickshifter, wheelie control and launch control as well as cruise control.

  1. Styling

The Diavel range is known for its striking looks and the V4 continues the general vibe with a similar stance.

That said, the new engine creates a slightly different bodywork and maybe not quite as aesthetic as the previous 1260. You could also argue about the missing trellis frame.

However, the biggest talking point are at the back, starting with the quad exit exhaust which is probably to signify the V4 configuration.

Also, the Diavel V4 features a new honeycomb taillight which looks absolutely bonkers. However, we couldn’t help but imagine the struggle of cleaning the tail light once you are done riding.

So what do you think about the 2023 Ducati Diavel V4? Will it be as amazing as the 1260 or better? Do tell us what you think at the comment section!

Francesco Bagnaia took another step closer to hist maiden MotoGP world championship title after winning the Malaysian GP at Sepang International Circuit.

  • Bagnaia and Quartararo to take the championship battle to Valencia.
  • Bagnaia recorded his seventh win of the season.

Despite starting from the middle of the grid, the Ducati rider made a brilliant start to place himself just behind race leader, Jorge Martin at Turn 2 while Quartararo was up from 12th to fifth.

Martin made the early effort to widen the gap from Bagnaia but his effort were in vain as the Spaniard crashed out on lap seven.

While the disaster may be a gift for Bagnaia, the Italian got into an intense battle with Gresini’s Enea Bastianini who remained close behind the championship leader.

Bastianini made the move on lap 11 when he pounced under braking at Turn 3.

However, Bagnaia managed to find an extra speed to overtook his soon to be teammate at Turn 15 and maintained his lead until the chequered flag.

Meanwhile, Fabio Quartararo managed to hold on 3rd spot to keep the championship fight alive ahead of Valencia.

Although there were some pressure from the emerging Marco Bezzecchi, the Frenchman managed to widen the gap at lap 15 to secured the much-needed podium.

Bagnaia continue to lead the championship with 258 points after claiming his seven win of the season while Quartararo is close behind with 235pts.

Both riders will take the fight to Valencia in November.

Ducati Malaysia has recently been recognised with not one but three awards at the Ducati Global Dealer Conference 2022 in Sardinia, Italy.

  • Ducati Malaysia claimed another milestone in Italy.
  • The award recognises Ducati Malaysia’s effort to strengthen the Ducati brand in Malaysia.

Ducati Malaysia took home the Global Distributor of The Year 2022, Best Marketing Team 2022 in the Asia Pacific and Best Commercial After Sales Team 2022 in the Asia Pacific.

The award honours achievements by the Ducati dealership in meeting and exceeding yearly objectives.

The award is another milestone set by Ducati Malaysia, especially after securing the 2021 Best Marketing and Best Aftersales Awards last year.

Ducati Malaysia, in a statement, shared via its official social media page, thanks its Ducati Malaysia family and customers for the achievement.

“To the Ducati Malaysia family, our customers, business partners, friends and fans, we say Grazie! Grazie! Grazie! This is a momentous occasion for all of us, and we couldn’t have done it without you.”

Ducati Malaysia General Manager Dennis Michael accepts the award at the event.

The fourth episode of the Ducati World Premiere web series takes us to the unveiling of a more powerful Ducati Panigale V4 R.

  • The 2023 Ducati Panigale V4 R gets higher max rev at 16,500rpm.
  • DLC-coated piston and titanium conrod contributed to higher horsepower.

The introduction of the 2023 model year Panigale V4 R continue to set a new mark for Ducati’s racing department.

Ducati has seen remarkable results this season at the 2022 WorldSBK, with the current Panigale V4 R at the helm of Alvaro Bautista leading the championship with a massive gap.

Watching Bautista flying by rival teams in a straight line is nothing short of excitement, but that doesn’t stop Ducati from upping the ante with the 2023 Panigale V4 R.

On paper, the 2023 Panigale V4 R produces 218hp @ 15,500rpm but Ducati has increased the maximum revs to 16,500rpm at 6th-gear.

However, by adding a new racing exhaust combined with Shell-developed fuel, the new Panigale V4 R can hit a peak power of 240.5hp.

The additional power is boosted by the use of gun-drilled titanium connecting rods and DLC-coated pistons, which Ducati claimed is a first for a road bike even though the technology is common in MotoGP machines and Formula 1 race cars.

Thanks to a new piston geometry, Ducati also reduced the inertia significantly and the weight by 5g.

In addition, the 2023 V4 R gets new engine modes with ‘Full’ and ‘Low’ added to the existing package. As the name goes, the ‘Full’ mode unleashes the full power of the V4 R while ‘Low’ reduces the power to 160hp, allowing for a calmer riding experience on the road. But hey, who are we to tell you not to go full blast on public roads?

Ducati also revised the Ducati Quick Shift system to allow for a smoother shift during partial and full throttle.

The 2023 Panigale V4 R remains faithful with Ohlins suspension, but the travel in the NPX25/30 pressurised fork is increased by 5mm.

Ducati also increases agility thanks to a higher swingarm pivot position that raises the rear height by 20mm. Also new on the 2023MY is a bigger 17L fuel tank.

Finally, the 2023 Panigale V4 R will be a numbered model, with each bike verified by a plaque on the steering head.

In conjunction with the Malaysian MotoGP happening in October, Ducati Malaysia has a special treat for all Ducatisti in the country.

  • Meet and greet Ducati Lenovo Team riders at Ducati Showroom.
  • Take part in a special convoy with Bagnaia and Miller to Putrajaya.

Ducati Malaysia is organising a meet and greet session with Ducati Lenovo Team rider Francesco Bagnaia and Jack Miller on October 20 at Ducati Showroom, Petaling Jaya.

That’s not even the best bit yet, as you will also get the chance to ride with Bagnaia and Miller from the showroom to the Prime Minister’s office in Putrajaya.

The meet and greet session including the special convoy is strictly for Ducati owners only.

MotoGP is set to return to action at Philip Island on October 17 before making its way to Malaysia.

Ducati has revealed three new motorcycles since the start of the 2023 Ducati World Premiere thus far.

  • Latest VIN decoder reveals a new single-cylinder motorcycle on its way from Ducati.
  • The 659cc single could be the final piece of Ducati’s 2023 World Premiere.

The 2023 DWP kicked off with the Streetfighter V4 Lamborghini, followed by the new top-of-the-range Monster SP and, recently, the new Multistrada V4 Rally.

So far, we know that an all-new Ducati Diavel V4 is on its way, along with a new Scrambler and Panigale V4 R. That alone completes six out of seven DWP web series.

While most of the bikes launched are already known to us beforehand, Ducati might have something up its sleeve for the final episode. Thanks to latest reports by Motorcycle.com, we now know for sure Ducati plans to unveil an all-new single.

On September 22, 2022, Ducati renewed a vehicle identification number (VIN) document at the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

That particular document revealed a liquid-cooled, four-valve, 659cc single-cylinder engine. While a single-cylinder Ducati powertrain sounds alien to some of us, the Borgo Panigale factory is no stranger to a single-cylinder machine.

In fact, Ducati’s Scrambler of the ’60s and ‘70s runs on a single-cylinder thumper.

Also, the ultra-limited Ducati Supermono manufactured in the ‘90s features a 500cc single capable of generating 75hp @ 10,000rpm.

The question is, what kind of motorcycles could use the new 659cc single? While it is likely to power a new scrambler-type bike, it could also signal new entry-level two-wheelers from the Italian firm.

There’s one way to find out, and that is to keep your eyes on the upcoming episodes of the 2023 Ducati World Premiere.

Ducati has just unleashed the new Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally for 2023.

  • The 2023 Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally features a new adaptive ride height function similar to the Harley-Davidson Pan America.
  • Equipped with longer suspension travel and a bigger fuel tank.

Set to go head to head with BMW’s R 1250 GS Adventure and Triumph’s Tiger 1200 Explorer range, the Multistrada V4 Rally gets more range, better off-road capability and improved comfort.

However, the new variant is born for dirt, as the name suggests.

New for 2023 is a longer suspension travel that now sits at 200mm, an increase of 30mm.

In addition, the top-spec semi-active Showa Skyhook suspension also features self-levelling ability.

Ducati also added a new power mode on the Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally that allows for a better riding experience for extreme off-roading.

The new Enduro Riding Mode reduced the power to just 114hp and adjusted the traction control switches to a lower intervention level. Wheelie control and rear-wheel ABS are also deactivated to adapt to off-road riding.

However, peak power and torque remains at 170hp @ 10,500 rpm and 125Nm @ 8,750rpm.

The new Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally also comes with spoked wheels as standard, a feature that is an option on the V4 S.

Coming on to the best bits, the new Multistrada V4 Rally is slapped with a massive 30L fuel tank, pushing the bike’s range to about 370 kilometres.

According to Ducati, the Granturismo V4 engine now features rear cylinder deactivation that’s not only operates during a standstill but also while riding gently. The new feature can help to boost the bike’s fuel economy.

Also new on the Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally is the introduction of an adaptive ride height function similar to the Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250.

The suspension will lower the bike’s height when the ignition is turned on, making it easier to get on and off the motorcycle.

VR45 Racing Ducati has officially announced the decision to retain Luca Marini and Marco Bezzecchi for the 2023 MotoGP World Championship.

  • Luca Marini and Marco Bezzecchi to continue their partnership ahead of the 2023 season.
  • Bezzecchi currently leads the rookie standing after maiden MotoGP podium at the Dutch GP.

The announcement is a positive step from team Mooney VR46 Racing Ducati ahead of the new season with the pair showing good results throughout the team inaugural season in the premier class.

Marini showcased an impressive performance in the second half of the season with two consecutive P4 in Austria an Misano.

“I am very happy to be able to announce the renewal with the Mooney VR46 Racing Team also for 2023.

“It is important to give continuity to this working group and to the Ducati project that is leading us to obtain good results and to fight for the podium in this final of season.

“We are a rookie team, it is the first year that we have all worked together, and we will continue to use this method to achieve great satisfactions already in this 2022 and in the future together with Vale, whom I thank for this opportunity, and the VR46 Riders Academy that always supports me.

“Closing the current season in the best possible way and restarting strong next January is the goal: we want to fight for the positions that matter, the podium and the victory in every GP and as the best Independent Team of the Championship,” said the 25-year-old.

Meanwhile, Bezzecchi currently leads the rookie standings boosted by his maiden MotoGP podium at the Dutch GP.

“I’m so happy to confirm and announce, at the same time, that the agreement I signed last year was for two years, so in 2023 I will continue riding for the Mooney VR46 Racing Team on the Ducati!

“I’m proud to wear and represent the colours of the VR46 family, Vale and the VR46 Riders Academy, that have been always supporting me, together with the Team and personal partners,” he added.

The Ducati Diavel is a one-of-a-kind cruiser that ever existed.

  • New generation Diavel to feature Ducati’s latest Gran Turismo V4 engine.
  • Ducati is expected to reveal the new Diavel V4 at the Ducati World Premiere 2023 web series.

Introduced in 2010 as a so-called ‘power cruiser’, the Diavel has since become the reference for other manufacturers to adopt a similar design language for their own modern-looking cruiser.

After introducing the second generation Diavel in 2015, it appears that Ducati is ready to roll out the new generation Diavel over the next few weeks in one of the firm’s seven World Premiere web series.

One of the episodes is almost certain to feature the new Diavel after the test mule was spotted in spy photos published by Motorrad.

Based on the photos, it appears that Ducati has swapped the Diavel’s long-serving 1260 DVT Testastretta with the firm’s Gran Turismo V4 1158cc engine.

The Gran Turismo V4 is currently powering the Multistrada V4 and features a unique configuration as Ducati ditched the iconic desmodromic valve for a spring valve return system.

As a result, the Multistrada V4 major service maintenance sits at 60,000km instead of the usual 30,000km.

Also, the new platform might suggest that the next-gen Diavel features a new revised frame.

The question is, which episode is likely to reveal the new Diavel V4? We’ll find out soon enough!

Ducati kicked off episode 1 of its Ducati World Premiere 2023 with the limited edition Streetfighter V4 Lamborghini.

  • The Streetfighter V4 Lamborghini is limited to just 630 units.
  • Inspired by Lamborghini’s Huracan STO.

Using the Streetfighter V4 S as the base and Lamborghini Huracan STO as the inspiration, the Streetfighter V4 Lamborghini is limited to just 630 units worldwide.

That said, the Streetfighter V4 Lamborghini features the special Verde Citrea and Arancio Dac livery taken from the Huracan STO.

Ducati also threw in Francesco Bagnaia’s number 63, which can also be found on the helmet and leathers available with the unique collaboration.

Also, Bagnaia became Ducati’s first ever MotoGP rider to win four consecutive GP races on Sunday, making the number a bit more special.

The Streetfighter V4 Lamborghini also sports the Huracan STO forged wheels design, including the similar titanium lock nut.

As expected, the Streetfighter V4 Lamborghini also boasts carbon fibre components, with much being made to mimic the Huracan STO.

In addition, the special collaboration motorcycle is also fitted with Akrapovic titanium exhaust complete with a carbon fibre endcap.

Mechanically, the Streetfighter V4 Lamborghini features the same 1,103cc V4 engine that makes 208hp @ 13,000rpm and 123Nm.
