Malaysian Cub Prix CP150 rider Norizman Ismail from the ONEXOX TKKR Racing Team has sadly passed away earlier today following a crash in Kemaman, Terengganu.

The incident happened during the Timed Practice session of Round 3 of the 2017 Petronas AAM Malaysian Cub Prix Championship.

“Following a meeting with teams and riders, the Cub Prix fraternity collectively decided to cancel Round 3 as a mark of respect to a fallen comrade.”

It is a sad day for the local motorcycle racing industry today. Veteran Malaysian Cub Prix rider Norizman Ismail has sadly passed away earlier today following a crash during the third round of the 2017 Petronas AAM Malaysian Cub Prix Championship in Kemaman, Terengganu. (more…)

According to a report by MCN, there’s an electric-powered KTM Duke currently in the works by the Austrian manufacturer.

Spy shots circulating online clearly show a KTM 390 Duke with what looks like a square box in the chassis that’s most likely housing the battery unit.

KTM has been involved in production electric dirt bikes for some time now with the E-Ride range that includes the Freeride E-SX, E-SM and E-XC.

It looks like the Austrian motorcycling giant is putting in the works for an electric-powered KTM Duke. According to a report made by MCN, they have managed to gather a few spy shots (courtesy of BMH Images) of the weird-looking 390 Duke being tested in with what looks light a big metal box housing the battery in the frame. The all-metal Ducati Panigale R Cafe Racer is the brainchild of Swiss company of premier aftermarket distributor, Parts World.

Together with Ducati Zentralschweiz, Schaub Metalworks and Akrapovič, the dream team was assembled to pull off this amazing project.

Most of the metalwork was done by Raphael Schaub from Schaub Metalworks which was made all by hand without any form of electronic aids.

Yes, you read that right. This is a Ducati Panigale R cafe racer. Dubbed the ‘Blue Shark’ by its mad creators over at Swiss company Parts World, the project is more than just turning a state-of-the-art superbike into a one-off custom bike of the century. It was Masaru Abe from Japan who set the new world record for longest wheelie at 500.5322km on 1 May 2017.

He completed the attempt in over 13 hours on board a Yamaha Jog 50cc scooter.

The distance covered is enough to travel from Kuala Lumpur all the way to Perlis with one wheel up in the air the whole time!

33 year old Masaru Abe from Japan not only obliterated the old wheelie record of 331.0195km, he actually wheelied his Yamaha Jog scooter at an unbelievable distance of 500.5322km! Now known as the undisputed “Wheelie King”, Masaru set his record on 1 May 2017 at the Kawaguchi Auto Race facility located in Saitama which took him over 13 hours to complete. (more…)

MotoGP 2017 rookie Johann Zarco (Monster Yamaha Tech 3) was quick to get under the spotlight for the first three rounds of the season.

Following a great start in Qatar where the Frenchman actually led the race before crashing out, Zarco finish the Argentina GP and Americas GP in fifth position.

The 27 year old rider is looking to take his Yamaha M1 to his first ever MotoGP podium this weekend in Jerez for the Gran Premio Red Bull de España.

It’s only his rookie season in MotoGP after being crowned the Moto2 World Champion last year and Johann Zarco was quick to get under the spotlight for the first three races. Following an incredible first race in Qatar where the Frenchman blitzed through the MotoGP veterans before crashing out while leading the race, the 27 year old rookie riding for the Monster Yamaha Tech 3 squad finished an amazing Fifth in both Argentina GP and also Americas GP.
