Malaysia’s frontliners of the COVID-19 pandemic are having a difficult time with not just having to deal with the deadly virus face to face, but also spending some extra time away from their loved ones for the country they love. For that, Shell has offered several methods of support, not only for the frontliners but also the overall effort to fight COVID-19 here in Malaysia.
A series of outreach initiatives were carried out by Shell such as donating essential items such as hand sanitizers, mineral water, food and beverages to Hospital Sungai Buloh, Hospital Kuala Lumpur, and Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun in Ipoh.
Making use of their many petrol stations nationwide, Shell Malaysia also contributed some very much needed items to the local authorities to perform their duties like supplying electricity, lights, fans, temporary tents, as well as food and drinks.
Apart from that, they’ve also partnered up with BonusLink where their members can contribute to the COVID-19 Fund set up by the Ministry of Health Malaysia’s (MOH). Cardholders can donate as low as 100 points (equivalent to RM1) where it’ll help MOH to purchase some critical medical equipment for the frontliners to use.
