MotoGP rider Jonas Folger has announced that he will not race in the 2018 MotoGP season.

After failing to recover both physically and mentally, the 24 year old German rider made the decision even after an impressive rookie season in 2017.

Folger was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder called Gilbert Syndrome where his liver is unable to process the body’s toxins effectively.

After a stunning performance last year during his first ever season in MotoGP, Monster Yamaha Tech 3 rider Jonas Folger has surprisingly decided to remove himself from racing for 2018. The decision came to be as the 24 year old German rider was unable to recover both physically and mentally ever since he was diagnosed with the rare Gilbert Syndrome late last season. (more…)

Five young riders have been chosen for the Impian ke MotoGP or ‘Dream to MotoGP’ program organised by Sepang International Circuit (SIC).

Riders aged 13 to 15 will undergo an intensive training regime spearheaded by national racer, Zulfahmi Khairuddin.

The best two riders will be given the chance to compete in the Spanish FIM CEV Repsol as well as Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) and Malaysia Superbike Championship (MSC).

Out of the hundreds who applied for the ‘Impian ke MotoGP’ or ‘Dream to MotoGP’ program conducted by the Sepang International Circuit, 40 worthy individuals were chosen for the selection process a few days ago at the Sepang International Go Kart Circuit. (more…)

A 73 year old farmer from Australian breaks neck in a bike accident near his cattle farm in Victoria near Melbourne.

Still conscious but knowing that he had broken his neck, the man rode back home to call for help while holding his head up by the hair.

Doctors confirmed that he broke his C1 and C2 vertebrae but is expected to fully recover after a successful surgery.

The older generation is seen by many as weak, frail and have troubles in dealing with the modern world. There are a few exceptions where they proved us wrong big time by performing something so badass that they blew our minds with some of the world’s most amazing feats. (more…)

Ducati sold over 55,800 bikes worldwide in 2017 (55,871 in total) which is a slight increase from 55,451 back in 2016.

The Italian manufacturer continues with its upward positive sales trend for the past eight years.

Ducati plans to continue to increase their sales margin this year with their 2018 models which include the highly-awaited Ducati Panigale V4.

Ducati is proud to deliver the positive news that they have successfully delivered a total of 55,871 motorcycles to their customers around the globe. While most manufacturers are reporting a slight decrease in sales margin, Ducati saw a slight increase in sales figures compared to 2016 where they sold 55,461 units. (more…)

Kawasaki USA has recently released a video on the 2018 Kawasaki J Concept three-wheeled motorcycle.

It seems that Kawasaki is back on the three-wheeled motorcycle train with this brand new video clip.

The J Concept is able to communicate flawlessly with the rider and carries several riding modes which allow a complete change on the bike’s characteristics.

Kawasaki USA recently released a short two-minute video on what looks like one of their directions for the future. The latest Nitro Circus stunt team saw Travis Pastrana jump a motorcycle over motoring enthusiast and celebrity, Jay Leno.

Pastrana and his motorcross stunt crew performed the flips and jumps over Jay Leno at one of their Nitro Circus events in the US.

Travis Pastrana is known for winning 14 X-Games medals including 2006 where he performed the first ever double back flip using a motorcycle.

Ever since I was a young lad, getting in front of the TV during weekends and finding myself watching the X-Games freestyle motorcross events was one of the fondest childhood memories I had. With the likes of Brian Deegan, Mike Metzger, Nate Adams and many more, the most prominent figure was (and still is) without a doubt Nitro Circus founder, Travis Pastrana. (more…)

MV Agusta joins Brembo master cylinder recall bandwagon currently actively running in the US.

Only 27 units of MV Agusta F4 RR and F4 RC have been identified and MV Agusta US has notified the owners.

No such news from MV Agusta Malaysia regarding the recall affecting the bikes here in the country.

The recent Brembo recall on their very popular PR16 front radial master cylinder unit has been joined by another manufacturer in the US which happens to be MV Agusta. The premium Italian motorcycle manufacturer has issued an official notice which only affects 27 units of the MV Agusta F4 RR and MV Agusta F4 RC built from 2015 to 2016. (more…)

The Ducati Team has unveiled their latest race machinery in the form of the Ducati Desmosedici GP18.

Together with Jorge Lorenzo and Andrea Dovizioso, the new livery consists of a combination of Ducati red with white and grey highlights.

Not much detail has been revealed about the 2018 Ducati MotoGP factory bike apart from an increase in horsepower.

The Ducati Team is the first to unveil their MotoGP machinery for 2018 earlier today. In a massive presentation arranged in the Borgo Panigale, the ceremony was joined by Ducati CEO Claudio Domencali, Ducati Corse General Manager Luigi Dall’Igna, Ducati Corse Sporting Director Paolo Ciabatti and Team Manager Davide Tardozzi alongside test rider Michele Pirro and of course, Jorge Lorenzo and Andrea Dovizioso. It has been confirmed that the partnership between John McGuinness and Honda Racing has ended.

The news was delivered by the 23-time TT winner himself during the Joey Dunlop Foundation’s annual charity dinner.

News has speculated on whether the “King of the Mountain” will join Norton, Tyco BMW, Kawasaki or run his own private team for 2018.

It was only last month when Honda Racing confirmed that Ian Hutchinson and Lee Johnston will race on board their Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade SP2 for 2018. Both Hutchinson and Johnston have a lot of road riding experience and together with Honda, they will attempt to conquer all of 2018 road racing events from the North West 200, Isle of Man TT, and Ulster GP. A new billboard near the Penchala toll plaza is advertising the latest models from Benelli including their 2018 Benelli 752S.

The ad also showed another new model that is the 2018 Benelli 402S which we think is going to be launched soon.

We expect the 2018 bikes to be launched in the first half of 2018 with the price tag of somewhere below RM40,000.

Most of us who frequent the many highways especially in the Klang Valley area can notice a number of motorcycle advertisements placed on billboards. Not a lot of motorcycle manufacturer tend to use this particular service to promote their products except for one who has been going all out for this particular market method. Bajaj Auto has revealed the 2018 Bajaj Dominar 400 in India which comes in two new colours; Canyon Red and Glacier Blue.

The Dominar 400 which is powered by 373cc single-cylinder engine is expected to arrive in Malaysia sometime in the first quarter of 2018.

Bajaj also introduced an updated 2018 Bajaj V15 with a brand new rear seat and back rest.

Bajaj Auto has just launched their latest 2018 Bajaj Dominar 400 yesterday in India. Their top of the range flagship model now comes in two new colour schemes which are Canyon Red and Glacier Blue. Bajaj Dominar 400 fans can still get the bike in Matte Black option although the other colourways have been dropped out. (more…)
