The Suzuki Katana name has been filed for another application at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

This shows that the Japanese manufacturer is seriously planning for the Katana comeback into the 21st century.

We might have to be patient as more news have been circulating around the launch of the next-generation Suzuki Hayabusa.

The good folks from Suzuki have apparently registered the Katana name at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). This is actually the second time they’ve done so where the first application was filed back in 2015 alongside the Gamma name. (more…)

Guy Martin plans to re-enter the world of road racing again this year.

The 36-year-old Brit rider will be participating in the Cookstown 100 and Tandragee 100 road racing events next month.

Racing in the Forgotten Era class, Guy is going to pilot his very own classic BSA motorcycle.

To all road racing fans, this one is for you. It seems that popular racing figure Guy Martin is planning to put on his racing suit again this year. News has broken out and it has been confirmed that the 36-year-old Brit rider will be participating in the Tandragee 100 and Cookstown 100 Irish road races. (more…)

AGV has unveiled the 2018 AGV Sportmodular, the world’s first full carbon fibre flip-up helmet.

Weighing in at just 1,295grams, the new AGV modular helmet is designed with the highest level of safety, design and functionality.

Being as safe as their top-shelf AGV Pista GP R, the helmet is priced at $749 (around RM2,896) in North America.

To celebrate their 70th anniversary, Italian premium helmet manufacturer AGV has unveiled the world’s first full carbon fibre flip-up helmet. The 2018 AGV Sportmodular launched in the North American market was designed as the world’s new standard for the modular or flip up/flip front helmet segment that pushes the elements of safety, functionality, and comfort to a whole new level. The Mugen Shinden Nana was launched at this year’s Isle of Man TT Zero title defender.

The seventh generation electric race machine has improved aerodynamics package as well as 162hp and 210mNm of torque.

Bruce Anstey, Lee Johnston, and John McGuinness will race the Mugen Shinden Nana at the end of May.

The 2018 Tokyo Motorcycle Show last week certainly brought more than a few surprises to those lucky enough to attend from all corners of the world. Ben Felten from Australia rode his Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R and broke the world record for riding a motorcycle blindfolded.

The 50-year-old went completely blind at the age of 37 but that did not stop him and his need for speed.

His record-breaking run was set during the World Speed Trials Australia 2018 where he went at an average of 266.685km/h!

Australian rider Ben Felten has broken the Guinness World Record as well as the one under FIM for riding a motorcycle blindfolded (pending approval) with his stock Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R. What’s even more amazing is the fact that Felten is legally blind! (more…)

A steam-powered Suzuki Hayabusa is planning to break the land speed record for the fastest steam-powered motorcycle this year.

Built by Chris Wedgewood from the Isle of Man, the steam bike is planned to hit 193km/h.

The heavily-modified Hayabusa is powered by a complex steam engine that produces 2,000psi and 510°C of steamy goodness.

You read that right, ladies and gentlemen. An amazing individual on this planet has built a steam-powered Suzuki Hayabusa and it is not just for show or technical exercise. This bloke is going to ride it and break the world record for the fastest going steam-powered motorcycle. (more…)
