MotoGP: Dovizioso extends championship battle to the final round with Sepang win

The penultimate MotoGP round of 2017 saw a battle in the wet where Ducati duo Andrea Dovizioso and Jorge Lorenzo celebrated a one-two finish.

Johann Zarco (Monster Yamaha Tech 3) completed the podium with Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) settled for fourth.

Dovizioso and Marquez will battle it out in the final round in two weeks’ time upon arriving in Valencia.

The final flyaway race saw the things that made the Shell Malaysia MotoGP one of the most interesting rounds in the calendar each year. Just as the Moto2 race ended with a one-two finish from the Red Bull KTM Ajo duo and of course the 2017 Moto2 World Champion Franco Morbidelli, the skies opened up and unleashed a fury of rain. 2018 Shark Helmets and Furygan riding gears unveiled!

The latest collection of Shark Helmets and Furygan riding gears were introduced yesterday at the Spartan Concept Store, Bandar Sunway.

Furygan also introduced their latest summer collection riding jackets which also include suits, gloves and boots.

Their star MotoGP rider Johann Zarco was also present to entertain his fans with a special meet and greet session.

Shell Advance rewards Malaysian fans with Jorge Lorenzo meet & greet!

Shell Advance together with Lazada Malaysia and Monster Energy Drinks organised a very special meet and greet session with Ducati MotoGP factory rider, Jorge Lorenzo.

Fans and winners of the Shell Advance Lazada Malaysia online contest were rewarded with a get together with the three-time MotoGP world champion.

The Spaniard rider was more than happy to entertain his fans with autographs and selfies.

Jorge Lorenzo is upset at Johann Zarco’s pass on him in the early stages of the Japanese GP. To the former, the move on him by the triple Moto2 Champion was dangerous, which caused a get-together at the corner exit.

Lorenzo likened Zarco to playing a game on the PlayStation. “You saw what happened,” said Lorenzo. “It’s not the first time he’s done this kind of thing – with me but also with two or three other riders. But he keeps doing it as though he’s playing on the PlayStation on time attack, like there’s no one at the side; very aggressive. I went to his box but he doesn’t understand he’s doing something bad and he won’t change. Someone should tell him to be more calm. He thinks he’s right and doing good, and that you or we need to be careful – not that he has to calm down. I would like to speak with the Safety Commission to see what we can do, because something could happen in future.”

Lorenzo was perhaps pointing to the incident at Austin this year, although it was Valentino Rossi at the receiving end of Zarco’s “aggression.”

“I was confident with the front so in Turn 9 I could attack,” explained the Frenchman. “Then he tried to stay on the outside but when I went out the corner I didn’t see him, I didn’t think he could be there and we touched because of my acceleration I went normally on my line and we touched each other. It was quite a strong touch but it was normal in the race. Because I was on the inside I got the advantage. Nobody crashed is the good thing.”

Zarco had started from pole, his second of the year, but slipped back to finish the race in eighth. Lorenzo struggled with rear grip initially but was able to rally and finish sixth.

MotoGP: Dovizioso delivers masterclass victory in wet Motegi

Andrea Dovizioso delivered yet another masterclass finish in today’s wet MotoGP race over at Twin Ring Motegi.

The Italian blasted from behind and even had yet another amazing last lap battle with P2 finisher Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda).

Danilo Petrucci (OCTO Pramac Racing) led the race for quite a number of laps before settling for third.

MotoGP: Repsol Honda Raih Kemenangan Satu-Dua Di Aragon; Lorenzo Di Tempat Ke-tiga

Pusingan ke-14 MotoGP yang diadakan di Aragon semalam telah menyaksikan kemenangan satu-dua oleh penunggang pasukan Repsol Honda, Marc Marquez dan Dani Pedrosa.
Jorge Lorenzo (Ducati Team) telah menunjukkan peningkatan yang hebat dengan menamatkan perlumbaan di tempat ke-tiga setelah mendahului secara majoriti ketika masa perlumbaan itu di atas jentera Ducati Desmosedici GP17-nya.
Valentino Rossi (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP) berlumba dengan hebat sekali dan melintasi garisan penamat di P5 di belakang teman sepasukannya Maverick Vinales meskipun dia baru sahaja pulih dari kecederaan keretakan kaki yang dialaminya hanya 25 hari yang lalu.
