Fabio Quartararo

The iconic Le Mans racing circuit celebrated its 1,000th MotoGP race in style back in May as racers and fans gathered to mark the historic milestone.

  • Since its inception over a century ago, the legendary track has been a cornerstone of the racing world, hosting some of the most exhilarating competitions in history.
  • The HJC RPHA 1 Quartararo Le Mans Special helmet is to commemorate the iconic race track.

To commemorate this momentous occasion, HJC, the renowned helmet manufacturer, unveiled a special edition helmet: the HJC RPHA 1 Quartararo Le Mans Special, paying homage to Fabio Quartararo’s incredible talent and achievements during the 2023 French GP.

The HJC RPHA 1 Quartararo Le Mans Special is a custom-designed version of HJC’s highly acclaimed RPHA 1 helmet, which was the brand’s first FIM homologated race helmet. The special edition helmet embraces Quartararo’s signature style with colors inspired by his home country – blue, white, and red. A prominent feature on the top of the helmet is Quartararo’s iconic devil logo, along with his race number 20, stylized with devil horns, leaving no doubt about the helmet’s association with the former world champion.

Aside from its eye-catching appearance, the HJC RPHA 1 boasts impressive technical features. Constructed with HJC’s latest PIM Plus fiber technology, the outer shell combines carbon fiber infused with hybrid fiberglass.

This innovation ensures the helmet is remarkably lightweight, rigid, and proficient in absorbing and dissipating impact forces. Safety is paramount, and the RPHA 1 adheres to the latest ECE 22.06 safety standards, standing as the first and only FIM-homologated helmet in HJC’s lineup to date.

Fabio Quartararo, one of the brightest stars in the MotoGP universe, expressed his pride and gratitude for the special edition helmet honoring his achievements. “It’s an incredible honor to have a helmet designed in celebration of my performance at Le Mans,” Quartararo said. “The design is fantastic, and knowing that riders can wear this helmet to feel connected to my journey means a lot to me.”

Racing fans and collectors alike can now own a piece of MotoGP history while experiencing the exceptional performance and safety features of HJC’s top-tier helmet.

Francesco Bagnaia is back to winning ways after claiming a sensational win at the Dutch GP, while Fabio Quartararo crashes twice at Turn 5 on the M1.

  • Bagnaia handed Ducati first win at the Dutch GP since Casey Stoner in 2008.

  • Quartararo crashses twice at Turn 5 before retiring after suffering a violent highside.

Unlike a week ago, Bagnaia managed to fend off Quartararo on the run to turn one.

Quartararo was then pushed to third by a charging Aprilia’s Aleix Espargaro, while Bagnaia took the opportunity to widen the gap.

Later on, Quartararo made his first blunder of the season as he crashed into Espargaro at Turn 5 in a rash attempt to regain the time lost to Bagnaia.

The mistake cost him dearly as he was then pushed at the way into last place while Espargaro – who was running second behind Bagnaia – had to make the climb from fifteenth.

However, it wasn’t a ‘down and out’ storyline for the Aprilia rider, as he began lapping five-tenths quicker than the leaders. Espargaro quickly reeled off Alex Marquez and Alex Rins.

Quartararo then made his way to the pit lane before deciding to continue on. However, the Frenchman’s dreadful run comes to an end when his M1 viciously high-sided on the exit of Turn 5.

It was a poor day for Yamaha as three out of four of their riders resulted in a DNF, with Franco Morbidelli and Darryn Binder (RNF Racing) also suffering a crash.

Meanwhile, Marco Bezzechi, who started fourth, took second place with Aprilia’s Maverick Vinales and claimed his first podium of the season on board the RS-GP 22.

Nevertheless, the rider of the day award went to (Aleix) Espargaro, who managed to climb all the way to seventh before making it fourth on the final lap.

The Spaniard produced one of the best overtakes, if not the best of the season when he overtook both Brad Binder and Jack Miller at the final corner.

On the other hand, Quartararo leads the championship with 172 points, followed by Espargaro (151 pts) and Johann Zarco (114 pts). Bagnaia is backed in contention with 106 pts, followed by fellow Ducati Enea Bastianini (105pts).

Fabio Quartararo recorded his second win of the season after a sensational display at the Catalunya GP, but all eyes were on Aleix Espargaro as the Aprilia rider believed the race was over despite with a lap to go.

  • Fabio Quartararo wins his second MotoGP race of the 2022 season.
  • The Monster Energy Yamaha rider now leads the championship with 22 points clear of Aleix Espargaro.
  • Aleix Espargaro’s mental lapse in the final lap cost him a podium.

Fabio Quartararo continued his march towards defending his title after securing his second win of the season at the Circuit de Catalunya-Barcelona.

Despite starting at P3, the Frenchman quickly led the race into turn one, which saw Honda’s Takaaki Nakagami crashes out, taking Alex Rins and Francesco Bagnaia with him.

Quartararo’s kept widening the gap after every lap before crossing the chequered flag 6 seconds ahead of Espargaro.

However, what could be a great result for Espargaro quickly turned awry as the Spaniards slowed down his machine with one lap to go.

While the initial reaction was his RS-GP suffered technical problems; instead, Espargaro thought the race was over and begin to wave to the fans.

However, as soon as Luca Marini came through, Espargaro realised his mistake and got back on track to finish fifth eventually. Due to his late blunder, Martin and Johann Zarco took second and third place, respectively.

Fabio Quartararo has penned a two-year deal with Monster Energy Yamaha for another two years, thus ending all the speculation regarding his future with the team.

  • Quartararo decided to remained with Monster Energy Yamaha after agreeing a two-year deal with the Iwata outfit.

  • The new agreement will saw the Frenchman remain with Yamaha through the end of 2024.

Quartararo has shown consistency and great skills ever since his moved from Petronas Sepang Racing Team (SRT) and claimed his maiden MotoGP world title in his very first season with the factory team.

The 23-year-old is also on the right track to retain his world title as he currently leads the 2022 season with 8 points advantage.

“I am really happy to announce to all of you that I will stay with Yamaha for two more years. In the past, moving up to MotoGP with Yamaha and later to the Factory team were no-brainers. Yamaha believed in me from the very beginning, and that is something I do not take lightly. But that being said, this new agreement was a big decision. I’m at a great point in my career, so I took a bit more time taking this decision to be sure.

“I believe in the Yamaha MotoGP project, and I feel Yamaha are truly motivated. And now that we have officially confirmed our decision to continue on this path together, we can fully focus on the current season. I want to say ’Thanks!‘ to the people around me, who always help me and support me, as well as to the fans who are cheering me on. I really do appreciate all the support.” he said.

Meanwhile, Monster Energy Yamaha Team Principal, Lin Jarvis shared his joy over the commitment shown by Quartararo this season.

“We are very happy to have reached an agreement with Fabio to continue with the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP team for 2023 and beyond. We brought Fabio into the Factory team last year knowing he is a special talent, but he even exceeded our expectations. One doesn‘t often come across a rider of his calibre. He was already showing his talent and speed in his two years with the SRT satellite team in 2019 and 2020, but when he made the step up to the Factory team, we could really see him growing stronger and maturing as a rider.

“In Fabio‘s first season and a half we‘ve booked many successes: 6 race wins, 14 podiums, 6 pole positions, and the 2021 MotoGP World Title. These results have come from a strong team effort from the rider, his crew, our engineers, and all team staff working together with a positive ‘can-do’ spirit. With Fabio we know he will always put in 100% of his best effort, and we have assured him that Yamaha will do the same and we will invest in future developments so that together we can challenge for the MotoGP World Championship Titles for years to come

Miller cuba memintas Mir menghampiri Turn 1 namun kegagalan membrek menyebabkan jenteranya hilang kawalan lalu melanggar Mir sekaligus menyaksikan kedua-dua pelumba terpaksa berputih mata.

KTM’s Miguel Oliveira produced a sensational display on a soaking wet surface to win the 2022 Indonesia GP at Mandalika.

Despite starting at seventh place, the Portuguese rider wasted no time to overtake early leaders Fabio Quartararo and Ducati’s Jack Miller.

Quartararo then dropped to 5th place behind Suzuki’s Alex Rins before climbing up the pack to second and threatening to catch Oliveira.

However, Oliveria managed to keep his calm and claimed his first victory of the season with a comfortable margin of 2.2s.

The win at Mandalika was Oliveira’s fourth MotoGP win and his first podium since Assen 2021.

Meanwhile, Pramac’s Johann Zarco completed the podium at third place. The Frenchman had a late scare when trying to keep his lane during Quartararo’s pursuit for third place, as his GP22 had a bit of a slip before gaining control.

On another note, rookie Darryn Binder claimed a Top 10 finished at 10th place despite starting the race in 23rd place on the grid.

The 24-year-old South African gave his all in the wet and even managed to pass his brother Brad (Binder) before the two swapped places in the final lap, which saw Brad go up to 8th and Darryn dropping down to 10th and securing his first points of the season nonetheless.
