All 11 teams have been confirmed yesterday to join the 2019 MotoE World Cup during the Qatar MotoGP round.

Representatives from Tech 3, LCR, Marc VDS, Pramac Racing, Angel Nieto, Reale Avintia and Gresini sat down for a briefing yesterday.

Sky Racing VR46, Pons Racing, Dynavolt Intact GP, and SIC Squadra Corse from Moto3 and Moto2 will be joining as well.

The folks over at Dorna and MotoGP have finalised all the teams that will be racing in the very first 2019 MotoE World Cup series which will start next year. After announcing the Energica Ego electric superbike as the official race machine just last month, the teams who will be joining the cup have been selected to compete in the inaugural world cup. The 2019 MotoE World Cup electric race bike was officially introduced yesterday.

Enel was announced as the official title sponsor for the one-make electric motorcycle race series.

The race-bred Energica Ego electric superbike is able to produce 147hp and 200Nm of maximum torque.

Dorna has officially unveiled the electric race bike that they’ll be using in the upcoming 2019 MotoE World Cup last night. The showcase of the Energica Ego race machine was made by MotoGP safety officer and project development rider, Loris Capirossi. (more…)

Dorna has announced that Michelin will be the official tyre supplier for the 2019 FIM Moto-e World Cup series.

Powered by Energica electric race bikes, the world’s first ever electric motorcycle racing series will have some serious support from the official tyre supplier of MotoGP.

Considering that the electric race bikes may push well over 140hp and 200Nm of torque, it is only logical that Michelin was chosen for this monumental task.

Italian electric bike manufacturer Energica has been selected as the sole engine supplier for the 2019 Moto-e World Cup.

After countless discussions, the Energica Ego has been chosen as the base race bike that produces around 140hp and 195Nm of maximum torque.

The new racing series is said to further innovate the world of motorcycle racing with state-of-the-art superbikes with none of the emissions.

After a long and tedious discussion between Dorna, FIM and other involved parties, the 2019 FIM Moto-e World Cup series has received its green lights. Italian electric bike manufacturer Energica has been chosen as the main (and only) engine supplier for the upcoming historic moment in motorcycle circuit racing. (more…)
