Ducati has established itself as a pioneering force in the industry, introducing cutting-edge electronic systems that have become standard features on motorcycles across various segments.

  • Ducati has set a new benchmark in the two-wheel industry.
  • Ducati’s journey of innovation began over a decade ago when they introduced the Traction Control system on the 1098R.

Through constant investments in research and development, as well as the transfer of solutions and expertise from racing competitions, Ducati has become a technological benchmark in the motorcycle world.

The seamless blend of beauty and technology is evident in every Ducati model, from the Multistrada V4 to the Scrambler, and the Panigale V4. Each bike is meticulously designed to provide Ducatisti with unparalleled experiences, achieved through sophisticated electronic solutions tailored to different riding preferences.

Ducati’s journey of innovation began over a decade ago when they introduced the Traction Control system on the 1098R in 2008, revolutionizing the performance and safety standards of super sports bikes. Subsequent groundbreaking milestones include the world’s first LED headlight on the Streetfighter 1100 in 2009 and the introduction of Riding Modes on the Multistrada 1200 S in 2010.

The company has consistently pushed boundaries, presenting the motorcycle world with advancements like the TFT instrumentation on the Diavel in 2011 and the Full-LED light cluster and electronic engine brake management on the award-winning 1199 Panigale in 2012.

Ducati’s commitment to safety led to a collaboration with Dainese in 2014, resulting in the Multistrada 1200 Touring D|Air, the first motorcycle integrated with an airbag system capable of rapid activation during a crash or slide.

The year 2020 marked another significant milestone for Ducati as they became the first motorcycle manufacturer to incorporate radars into their bikes, paving the way for the implementation of Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind Spot Detection systems on the Multistrada V4.

In addition to introducing innovative technologies, Ducati focuses on enhancing existing models. Owners of the Multistrada V4, for example, received complimentary upgrades such as the Minimum Preload and Easy Lift systems, as well as navigation system enhancements.

Ducati’s approach to technological advancements involves developing most of its electronic contents internally, collaborating closely with suppliers like Pirelli, Brembo, and Bosch. This strategy allows Ducati to have complete control over the customization and application of technologies, creating a unique and tailored experience for their riders.

The company’s commitment to innovation extends to its working methods. Ducati has established internal laboratories, such as the Electrical & Electronic Testing facility, to conduct comprehensive tests on electrical and electronic components. These tests include extreme temperature simulations, endurance assessments, and functional verifications of the components under real-world conditions.

Ducati’s dedication to software development and connectivity is exemplified by its navigation systems, incorporating Phone Mirroring and Turn-by-Turn solutions that offer compatibility with various operating systems and continuous software updates for customers.

This unwavering commitment to innovation, combined with a focus on quality and a deep understanding of rider needs, has positioned Ducati as a leading force in the motorcycle industry. Year after year, Ducati continues to fulfill the dreams of Ducatisti by delivering exceptional bikes that embody the perfect harmony of technology and artistry.

With a rich history of world-first innovations and an unwavering dedication to pushing boundaries, Ducati is poised to shape the future of motorcycles, elevating the riding experience to new heights.

Francesco Bagnaia continued his dominance in the MotoGP circuit by securing his third consecutive win at Mugello in a thrilling race. The Italian rider displayed exceptional skill and determination, outshining his competitors, with Jorge Martin finishing closely behind in second place.

The race initially saw Bagnaia making a strong start, but his lead was short-lived as Jack Miller quickly overtook him, rapidly advancing from fourth to first position. However, Bagnaia swiftly responded, regaining his lead just one corner later at turn two.

As the race progressed, the pace of the KTM rider faltered, allowing for intense moments on the track. At one point, a near collision loomed as both Marquez brothers and Luca Marini found themselves in a precarious situation.

Alex Marquez pushed too hard, out-braking himself into turn one, narrowly squeezing between his brother and Marini before running wide. Miller capitalised on the opportunity, reclaiming his position, but Marquez remained on the inside, jostling for control.

Meanwhile, Marc Marquez, in fourth place, faced a devastating setback as he crashed out of the Grand Prix for the fourth consecutive time. The crash occurred at the final corner while he was attempting to overtake Marini, but Marquez misjudged his line, losing the front-end and ending his race prematurely.

While Bagnaia and Martin maintained a stable gap of half a second between them, yellow flags were deployed in sector three due to Miguel Oliveira’s crash.

As the race continued, Alex Marquez, who had been in fourth position, made a move to claim third place from Marini on lap 12. However, Marquez ran slightly wide, allowing Marini to regain his position momentarily. Determined, Marquez tried again on lap 13, utilising his better rear grip to close in along the start-finish straight, successfully securing third place.

The battle for victory intensified on lap 14 when Bagnaia, who had initially held a lead of four tenths of a second, unleashed an impressive surge, extending his advantage to over six tenths of a second and ultimately crossing the finish line with a comfortable one-second lead.

The Marquez family’s challenging race took a turn for the worse when Alex crashed out of third place at turn two during lap 15. Despite the setback, Marini, eager to secure a podium finish on home soil, fought hard, attempting an immediate response after making a mistake at the final corner. Although he briefly managed to move ahead of Johann Zarco, the Italian struggled to fend off the French rider for an extended period and losses out his podium spot.

Ducati unveils its latest creation, the 2024 Ducati Hypermotard 950 RVE. This updated model boasts a captivating design called the “Graffiti Livery Evo,” which pays homage to the iconic Ducati Graffiti livery seen on previous generations of the Hypermotard 950.

Originally introduced in 2022 as a limited edition exclusively available in the United States, the second-generation Graffiti Livery featured a vibrant combination of Ducati Red, white, and black accents.

The 2024 update takes this design to the next level, evolving it into a more dynamic and visually striking scheme. The motorcycle retains its signature black split tri-spoke alloy wheels, while the saddle now dons a captivating all-red appearance.

The graphics, consisting of bold splashes of black and white, are accented with occasional red highlights, including the RVE logo on the saddle’s right panel.

Ducati Malaysia has officially launched the 2023 Ducati Panigale V4 R with a recommended selling price of RM458,900.

  • The 2023 Ducati Panigale V4 R gets higher max rev at 16,500rpm.
  • DLC-coated piston and titanium conrod contributed to higher horsepower.

On paper, the 2023 Panigale V4 R produces 218hp @ 15,500rpm but Ducati has increased the maximum revs to 16,500rpm at 6th-gear.

However, by adding a new racing exhaust combined with Shell-developed fuel, the new Panigale V4 R can hit a peak power of 240.5hp.

The additional power is boosted by the use of gun-drilled titanium connecting rods and DLC-coated pistons, which Ducati claimed is a first for a road bike even though the technology is common in MotoGP machines and Formula 1 race cars.

Thanks to a new piston geometry, Ducati also reduced the inertia significantly and the weight by 5g.

In addition, the 2023 V4 R gets new engine modes with ‘Full’ and ‘Low’ added to the existing package. As the name goes, the ‘Full’ mode unleashes the full power of the V4 R while ‘Low’ reduces the power to 160hp, allowing for a calmer riding experience on the road. But hey, who are we to tell you not to go full blast on public roads?

Ducati also revised the Ducati Quick Shift system to allow for a smoother shift during partial and full throttle.

The 2023 Panigale V4 R remains faithful with Ohlins suspension, but the travel in the NPX25/30 pressurised fork is increased by 5mm.

Ducati also increases agility thanks to a higher swingarm pivot position that raises the rear height by 20mm. Also new on the 2023MY is a bigger 17L fuel tank.

Finally, the 2023 Panigale V4 R will be a numbered model, with each bike verified by a plaque on the steering head.

The Monster’s suspension system comprises a 43mm upside-down fork at the front and a progressive linkage monoshock with an aluminum swingarm at the rear. • Revealed on May 16, 2023, the latest model retains its core features while incorporating design updates.
  • Ducati equips the 2024 SuperSport 950 S with a fully adjustable Öhlins suspension.

The SuperSport 950 S stands out with its remarkable Stripe livery, blending classic hues with contemporary aesthetics. The predominant Iceberg White fairing serves as a canvas for the addition of a distinctive red stripe, complemented by a thicker gray stripe beneath it. These vibrant stripes are separated by a sleek white line that harmoniously integrates with the rest of the fairing.

Notably, the red stripe seamlessly flows into the peekaboo glimpse of the red frame, creating an enticing visual appeal. Similarly, the broader gray stripe leads the eye towards the saddle, forming a compelling diagonal line.

To enhance performance and handling, Ducati equips the 2024 SuperSport 950 S with a fully adjustable Öhlins suspension system both in the front and rear. The bike also features a pillion seat cover and a pair of 17-inch wheels finished in Glossy Black, accentuated by a Ducati Red tag.

Riders can enjoy seamless gear shifts with the six-speed gearbox, complete with an up and down quickshifter and a slipper clutch.

Safety features are not compromised, as the SuperSport 950 S boasts reliable braking capabilities. The front end employs radially mounted Brembo M4-32 monobloc four-piston calipers, gripping two 320mm semi-floating brake discs.

At the rear, a single two-piston caliper operates on a 245mm brake disc. The bike also incorporates Bosch Cornering ABS to ensure optimal control in all riding conditions.

The 2024 SuperSport 950 S is equipped with a range of practical features, including a height-adjustable windscreen and a 4.3-inch full TFT display. Riders can choose from three riding modes—Sport, Touring, and Urban—to tailor the bike’s performance to their preferences. Additionally, traction control and wheelie control enhance stability and confidence on the road.

Ducati has confirmed that it has no plans to expand its retro motorcycle lineup. Instead, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer is focused on its six-strong Scrambler range.

  • Ducati latest Scrambler features revised frame, reworked electronics and a new swingarm.
  • The Icon 800 now available in nine new colours.

Accoding to the head of Ducati’s Scrambler program, Rocco Canosa, the company was concentrating on the Scrambler to provide a modern motorcycle with a classic flavour.

The Scrambler range, which was introduced in 2015, was updated in late 2022 with an 800 range that features an updated frame, lean-sensitive electronics, a new TFT dash, and a new swingarm.

The existing line-up consists of 18-inch front-wheeled uprights, with Ducati no longer selling the enduro-styled 800 Desert Sled, or clip-on clad Café Racer options.

Canosa stated that the Scrambler range was much larger than it appears, with the Icon available in nine different colors.

“You can choose nine different bikes. It’s not just a matter of color. It’s a matter of personality and style,” he said.

Meanwhile, Ducati is set to travel across Europe specifically to showcase the new Scrambler range to the masses.

Nevertheless, Canosa also suggested that Ducati might introduce new models in the future based on customer demand, citing the Nightshift, which was created by looking at how customers customized their Scramblers.

Some retro and Scrambler fans may be disappointed by the lack of diversity in the range compared to other brands such as Triumph and BMW. However, Ducati’s focus on Scrambler seems to have been well-received by customers.

The company sold over 60,000 Scrambler motorcycles globally since 2015, making it one of the most successful Ducati models in recent history.
