Dibangunkan untuk Prestasi Cemerlang:

BMW M 1000 XR dikuasakan oleh enjin berbaris 4 silinder yang bertenaga, sejenis dengan unit kuasa S 1000 RR. Enjin ini menghasilkan kuasa mencengangkan 201 tenaga kuda (148 kW) pada 12,750 rpm, menjadikannya 31 tenaga kuda lebih kuat daripada S 1000 XR yang baru. Tork mencapai 113 Nm, dicapai pada 11,000 rpm. Dengan kelajuan enjin maksimum 14,600 rpm dan nisbah gear sekunder yang lebih pendek dicapai dengan gegelung 47 gigi, motosikal ini menawarkan daya tarikan roda belakang yang lebih baik dalam semua gear, menghasilkan daya cengkaman yang diperbaiki, pecutan, dan daya tarikan.

Aerodinamik Mengejutkan:

Aerodinamik memainkan peranan penting dalam reka bentuk BMW M 1000 XR. Penambahan winglet di panel sisi depan meningkatkan prestasinya di trek lumba dan stabiliti pada kelajuan tinggi. Winglet ini mula mencipta beban roda depan sekitar 100 km/jam, mencapai kira-kira 12 kg beban roda depan pada 220 km/jam.

Sistem Suspensi dan Rangka Canggih:

Sistem suspensi dan rangka M 1000 XR didasarkan pada reka bentuk S 1000 XR, dengan rangka jambatan aluminium. Ia dilengkapi dengan garpu terbalik dengan diameter tiub geser 45 mm di bahagian depan. Ciri baru adalah penyesuaian tambahan pangkalan per litar garpu bersama dengan strut suspensi Dynamic Damping Control (DDC) standard. M XR mempunyai sistem brek M, langsung dipengaruhi oleh brek perlumbaan BMW Motorrad yang digunakan dalam Kejuaraan Dunia Superbike. BMW has updated its flagship M 1000 RR homologation-special superbike for 2023.

The WorldSBK machine gets extensive wind tunnel testing for 2023 which resulted to a higher max speed without increasing the 999cc inline-four power output that continue to pumps out 205hp and 112Nm. 

As such, BMW is confident the M 1000 RR will be at the front of 2023 racing calendar. 

“We have achieved an engineering masterpiece in the aerodynamic development of the M RR due to our unwavering ambition, total passion and technical finesse. 

“Thanks to countless hours in the wind tunnel as well as in road tests, we were able to considerably increase the top speed with unchanged engine output and at the same time significantly increase the downforce, also when banking in corners. 

“Our development work will be rewarded with racing success,” said Project Manager Christian Gonschor.

The 2023 M 1000 RR is able to achieved the new mark thanks to a taller windscreen and a redesigned carbon-fiber fairing that boost the aerodynamic aspect of the motorcycle. 

BMW also completely revised the aero winglets to improved tire contact with close to 22.6kg of downforce created at 298km/h and 5.7kg at 150km/h. 

Also new on the 2023 M 1000 RR is the introduction of MotoGP-derived carbon-fiber air cooling ducts that’s integrated into the front fender and fork guards.

BMW claimed that the air ducts is capable to reduce the temperature of the radially-mounted M brake callipers by 10-degrees celsius. 

Meanwhile, the M Competition Package inclides GPS laptrigger, DLC-coated M Endurance chain, clear anodized swingarm and more carbon fibre components. 

BMW Motorrad always puts serious thought into developing front suspension.

  • BMW and ZF develop a new carbon fibre front end.
  • BMW won the 24-hour Spa of the EWC while testing the new carbon fibre telescopic fork. 

The R 1250 GS is fitted with a Telelever front end, the K 1600 GT Duolever suspension is innovative, while the S 1000 RR semi-active unit is an integral part of the superbike setup.

However, BMW has up the ante in its latest joint venture with suspension experts and partner ZF (Zahnradfabrik) to develop a carbon fibre telescopic fork.

 The collaboration is to develop the front fork for the BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team.

Firstly, carbon fibre front suspension is common in MotoGP, but it’s still a grey area for BMW as the House of Munich is not involved in the world championship.

As a result, the Endurance World Championship is BMW’s best bet to test out the new component.

The BMW M 1000 RR now features the said component, with the fork consisting of a carbon fibre outer tubed mated to a carbon fibre composite/metal inner tube. The metal fork legs slide within the carbon fibre tubes. 

The lightweight material not only helps to reduce weight and allows BMW to study the M 1000 RR characteristic.

According to BMW Motorrad Motorsport Director Mark Bongers, the main focus during the development of carbon fibre forks is to test the bending loads.

“Using this material and this technology allows us to shift the threshold at which body vibrations occur.

“One major focus during development was the design of the homogeneous bending loads. 

“The goal being for the throttle response for the rider to be extremely subtle, even under the most extreme strains. And feedback from the riders confirmed that the goal was achieved,” he said. 

In an exciting development, the number 37 BMW M 1000 RR fitted with the carbon fibre telescopic fork won the 2022 24-Hour Spa of the Endurance World Championship. 

Could the new component make its way to future BMW bikes? BMW certainly thinks so, but it will need to meet the strict homologation standards before that happens.

BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team is off to Japan for the third round of the FIM Endurance World Championship 2022.

  • BMW Motorrad to make official debut at the Suzuka 8 Hours.
  • The team will field Markus Reiterberger (GER), Ilya Mikhalchik (UKR) and Jérémy Guarnoni (FRA).

BMW Motorrad will debut at the Suzuka 8 Hours in great spirit having celebrated victory at the home race in ealry June.

Markus Reiterbger, Illya Mikhalchik and Jeremy Guarnoni will once again teamed up to ride the BMW M 1000 RR at Suzuka.

This will be BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team first appearance at the Suzuka 8 Hours after Covid-19 restriction prevented the team from taking part in the 8-hour race at Suzuka over the last two years.

“I am really looking forward to the Suzuka race. I’ve already been there twice with the Penz13 team, once for the test and once for the race.

“The track is breath-taking but very difficult to learn so it took us some time to get acquainted with it. Jérémy knew it already but for me it has been some time since I have been here and Ilya had not been here before at all.

“We then improved step by step, rode a lot and tested a lot of different things. We are still lacking a bit to the top teams but we don’t give up and continue or hard work. It will be an exhausting weekend,” said Reiterberger.

BMW Motorrad WorldSBK team is putting a high expectation to challenge for race wins during the opening round of the 2022 WorldSBK Championship.

BMW suffered a lacklustre campaign in the 2021 season despite stepping up the game with an all-new BMW M 1000 RR replacing the S 1000 RR.

The M 1000 RR is a limited-edition homologation special developed specifically to achieve success on the track but it wasn’t a big step forward as hoped in 2021.

Team riders, Tom Sykes and Michael van der Mark struggled to bridge the gap with the Yamaha R1M, Kawasaki ZX-10RR and the Ducati V4 R.

Despite the shortcomings, BMW Motorrad says it has identified the major issue which is the mid to top-end power.

Furthermore, the addition of 13-time race winner, Scott Redding will boost the team chances of making a huge impact in the opening rounds.

“We’ve got two or three areas where we’ll focus on really hard over winter.

“The development guys are working on that already and we know that first test we’ll do, we’ll show those steps and those gains will have been made.

“We can really say that we’re going to give both riders a bike that can win races from round one,” said team principal, Shaun Muir.

According to BMW Motorrad, the LEGO Technic features a 1,920-piece set that makes a 1:5 scale to the original carbon-wheeled machine.

The set includes a gold chain, functional three-speed gearbox, forks, rear shock and a dashboard with three display options.

The BMW M 1000 RR is a special machine, as it is the first two-wheeled machine produced by BMW M Division.

“In the same way, the LEGO Technic team realised they needed to come up with something unprecedented to pay tribute to the M RR.

“The result is a motorcycle and a technical model that each represent the state of the art in their respective fields,” said Ralf Rodepeter, Head of Marketing and Product Management at BMW Motorrad.

Interestingly, the M 1000 RR LEGO Technic sete is USD150 more than the Ducati Panigale V4 R set that came out last year.

Moreover, the BMW Motorrad Technic set will only be available in January 1st.

BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team finally made it to the top of the podium by claiming its maiden victory at the FIM Endurance World Championship.

The team came out on top during the season’s final round in Most with the BMW M 1000 RR with riders Ilya Mikhalchik and Markus Reiterberger, while Kenny Foray was on standby as the third rider.

Mickhalchik was elated after the win and deemed the victory as an extra motivation to continue pushing forward.

“I am so happy. We got our first win, and it’sit’s really an amazing feeling, especially after the bad luck we had at the Bol d’Ord’Or. Now we are also second in the world championship, and this gives us extra motivation.

“The race was almost perfect because, in the last two hours, I was nearly 30 minutes behind the safety car and afterwards, I was struggling a bit with the tyres, and it was not easy to get back to a fast pace.

“In the last 50 minutes Markus did a great job. He rode a really fast pace. We won the race, even if it was with a very small gap. It is an amazing feeling and I want to say thank you to the entire team,, to my family, everyone – I am just happy,” he said.

It was a sweet win for the German marquee as the win helped them secured second place in the championship standings.

It has been a great week for BMW Motorrad, as the success in the FIM EWC came just a week after the first victory in the FIM Superbike World Championship (WorldSBK).

After a six hours race, the team took the chequered flag with a lead of just 0.070 seconds on board the all-new BMW M 1000 RR.

Less than a year after its global reveal, the 2021 BMW M 1000 RR finally arrived in Malaysia as announced by BMW Motorrad Malaysia.

Based on what we gathered previously on a limited run of the M 1000 RR will be made available for the local market with an official price of RM249,500 making it the most expensive BMW Motorrad 2021 range.

Build based on the success of the BMW S 1000 RR, BMW Motorrad decided it is time to inject the “M” into the German automaker two-wheel segment.

This road-legal BMW M 1000 RR carries an upgraded version of the S 1000 RR’s 999cc inline-four engine with new lighter forged pistons, intake ports, titanium valves, longer titanium conrods optimized intake system, and a brand-new Akrapovic titanium full-system race exhaust.

This resulted in an overall power increase to a whopping 212hp at 14,500rpm and 113Nm torque at 11,000rpm. With a kerb weight of only 192kg, you can expect some serious performance especially paired with updated suspension, electronics and braking systems designed to conquer the world of Superbikes.

Perhaps the most visible change to the BMW M 1000 RR or M RR is M Winglets and high windscreen that offers significant improvements to the aerodynamics department without compromising top speed.

Scott Redding bakal meneruskan cabaran di Kejuaraan Superbike Dunia (WorldSBK) musim 2022 bersama BMW Motorrad.

Pengumuman itu tiba setelah Redding merekodkan kemenangan ketiga musim ini di Most.

“Kami berbesar hati menyambut Scott (Redding) ke keluarga WorldSBK kami. Beberapa tahun ini, dia telah membuktikan peningkatan yang baik daripada British Superbike (BSB) ke WorldSBK dan menjadi pelumba yang hebat,” jelas Pengarah Permotoran BMW Motorrad, Marc Bongers.

Redding bakal meninggalkan Ducati selepas menghabiskan dua musim bersama pasukan Itali itu dan akan beralih ke jentera BMW M 1000 RR musim depan.

Berdasarkan info yang diperolehi, tempahan bagi M 1000 RR itu telah pun dibuka dengan hanya beberapa unit sahaja yang akan dipasarkan disini.

Pada masa sama, kami dimaklumkan model tersebut akan ditawarkan sekitar RM290 ribu dan akan memasuki pasaran antara bulan September dan Oktober.

Pelancaran M 1000 RR tahun lalu sememangnya menjadi topik perbualan ekoran tampil sebagai jentera superbike paling berkuasa pernah dihasilkan BMW.

Hasilnya terdapat peningkatan tork yang ketara dari 6,100rpm kepada 9,500rpm.

Pada masa sama, BMW M 1000 RR ini juga didatangkan dengan ekzos titanium yang menggunakan dua ‘catalytic converters’ tiga arah dan didakwa hanya seberat 7kg berbanding 11kg yang terdapat pada S 1000 RR.

Empat mod tunggangan ditawarkan kepada penunggang menerusi Raid, Road, Dynamic dan Race namun BMW turut menawarkan tiga mod Race Pro boleh laras mengikut cita rasa.

Sementara itu, fork USD 45mm depan masih sama seperti yang terdapat pada S 1000 RR namun dengan penggunaan bahan – solid aluminium – yang lebih ringan.

Sistem brek dengan teknologi WSBK turut diguna pakai menerusi kaliper brek M yang dibekalkan oleh Nissin namun telah dimodifikasi bagi menawarkan prestasi lebih efisien dan ringan.

Kaliper ini dipasangkan dengan cakera brek 320mm yang sedikit tebal berbanding pada S 1000 RR dengan dua jenis pad brek ditawarkan BMW bagi kegunaan di jalan raya dan litar.
