The Repsol Honda MotoGP team has been testing a brand new carbon fibre swingarm for their 2018 Honda RC213V.

Their entire 2018 package plus new swingarm seems to be working for both Marquez and Pedrosa.

Pedrosa set the fastest ever motorcycle lap around Buriram International Circuit on the final day of the Thai pre-season testing.

Sharp eyes in the MotoGP garage have spotted something quite different on the Honda RC213V used by the Repsol Honda boys during the three-day testing in Thailand. It seemed that the factory Honda squad are experimenting with a full carbon fibre swingarm at the Buriram International Circuit and even during the Sepang winter test here in Malaysia a few weeks back. Some folks have been asking about Hafizh Syahrin being the first Malaysian MotoGP rider.

After the MotoGP Thai test, it can be safely said that Hafizh is the first Malaysian to ride a modern-day 1,000cc MotoGP bike.

The final confirmation will come from Monster Yamaha Tech3 on whether Hafizh Syahrin will become the first Malaysian MotoGP rider to race in the premier class this season.

It has been quite an amazing week for all Malaysians as Hafizh Syahrin was selected to join the MotoGP pre-season testing at the Buriram International Circuit. Riding the Yamaha M1 for the Monster Yamaha Tech3 squad, Hafizh Syahrin ultimately became the first ever South East Asian rider to ride a proper 1,000cc modern day MotoGP bike. (more…)

Triumph Motorcycles has filed a brand new trademark for the Daytona name and it might just be for the 2019 Triumph Daytona 765.

The applications were made in the US and Europe to ensure that there’s no issue when the new model is launched.

With Triumph supplying the new 765cc engine for the 2019 Moto2 season, the new Daytona would be the perfect bike to promote.

Some news have been travelling in relations to British bike manufacturer Triumph Motorcycles and the possibility of an all-new 2019 Triumph Daytona 765. It seems that they have filed some applications for a new trademark for the name ‘Triumph Daytona’ in the United States and Europe. (more…)

The 2019 Suzuki Hayabusa is rumoured to be equipped with a new semi-automatic transmission system.

New patents were recently filed by the Japanese manufacturer in Japan, USA and Germany.

The new system uses actuators to control the clutch and gear shifts whilst combining it with the traditional foot-controlled shifter.

The latest rumour surrounding the all-new 2019 Suzuki Hayabusa has made the pocket rocket even more enticing. Based on the latest report made by Motorcycle.com, Suzuki has filed patents for a semi-automatic transmission system which may be used to handle all that power on the new ‘Bird of Prey’. (more…)

Dani Pedrosa (Repsol Honda) set the fastest lap ever around Buriram during the three-day MotoGP Thai test.

Johann Zarco (Monster Yamaha Tech3) was not too far off on board his developed Yamaha M1.

Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda) settled for third after having completed over 300 laps around the Buriram International Circuit.

After the concluding their first ever maiden MotoGP pre-season testing in Thailand, the entire MotoGP field are now well aware of the what the Buriram International Circuit has to offer. The rider that gained the most advantage was none other than Dani Pedrosa of Repsol Honda. (more…)

Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda) celebrated his 25th birthday with style yesterday after setting the fastest ever lap time in Buriram.

Dani Pedrosa was not too far behind sitting at P2 with a 1:30.127.

Jack Miller (Alma Pramac Racing) continues to impress everyone by setting the third fastest lap of the day with his Ducati.

The second day of the MotoGP 2018 pre-season test in Buriram saw a mixture of results but the boys from Repsol Honda sealed the deal by setting the fastest times of the day. Marc Marquez celebrated his 25th birthday in style by being the first rider ever to lap the Buriram International Circuit below 1 minute 30 seconds at 1:29.969. (more…)
