BMW Motorrad is happy to report an increase sales figure of 9.5% for the first half of 2017 compared to the same time as 2016.

It was reported that the number of units sold has reached 88,389 units; an increase of 7,735 units compared to the previous year.

The most popular model to contribute to the sales figure was the BMW R 1200GS reportedly sold at 17,159 units around the globe.

Despite other manufacturers are facing quite a difficult time for the opening half of 2017, it seems that BMW Motorrad managed to stay on top of their game. At present, they were more than happy to report that for the first half of 2017, they recorded a 9.5% sales increase worldwide. (more…)

Jakusa Design has released some interesting concept designs for some of present and older Ducati bikes with some pretty futuristic updates.

They’ve rendered a few concept mock-ups on some of the Ducati flagship models such as the Panigale, XDiavel, Desmosedici, Hypermotard, Monster and many more.

While most concepts tend to be too futuristic, the ones from Jakusa Design seems like they can be rolling out of the factory in the near future (at least, in our opinion).

As we slowly but surely move ourselves into the future, the thought of super futuristic modes of transportation are not just things we see on movies anymore. In fact, some great inventions and top vehicle designs came from motion pictures, animes and plenty other creations concocted by graphic designers and artists which started life purely as their wildly vivid interpretations of the future of transportation. The latest report from Reuters points to more names being dropped as the potential new owners of the Ducati.

Currently, the new favourite leading the bidding wars is the Italian Benetton family which are the same people who run the United Colors of Benetton.

Other like Bajaj, Polaris, Harley-Davidson and Eicher Motors might still have a chance to buy Ducati as they head into the second round of biddings starting next month.

According the latest report made by Reuters, the possibility of the Volkswagen Group letting go of Ducati seems inevitable but the main question remains on who will be “The Chosen One”. As of now, they have been receiving quite a few bids and offers from companies and firms that are not even remotely close to the motoring industry. In some cases, that might be a good thing. (more…)

Tree Movement (M) Sdn Bhd has finally announced that their first 2017 Treeletrik T-90 electric scooter is finally available for purchase.

The announcement was made earlier today when Tree Movement elected MyANGKASA as their official Malaysian distributor during the signing ceremony held at the Royal Chulan Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.

The 2017 Treeletrik T-90 lead acid battery variant is priced at RM10,494 (basic price with GST) while the lithium-powered version will be announced very soon.

Local electric vehicle firm Tree Movement (M) Sdn Bhd has just announced that their flagship 20117 Treeletrik T-90 electric scooter is finally ready for public purchase starting from today. The announcement was made earlier today during a signing ceremony with the National Malaysian Co-operative (ANGKASA) as their main distributor here in the country. (more…)

Hong Leong Yamaha Motor (HLYM) Malaysia has announced their 2017 Yamaha MT-09 Tracer CKD will now be available in their big bike range.

The locally-assembled Yamaha MT-09 Tracer is the fourth Yamaha big bike model to be assembled at Yamaha’s assembly plant in Sungai Buloh.

The 2017 Yamaha MT-09 Tracer CKD is priced at RM52,000 (basic price with GST).

Hong Leong Yamaha Motor (HLYM) Malaysia has announced that their latest big bike addition is the 2017 Yamaha MT-09 Tracer CKD (completely knocked down). This means that the MT-09 Tracer will be assembled locally in their Sungai Buloh factory together with the other Yamaha big bike like the XJ6 series, MT-07 and MT-09. (more…)

HJC Helmet Malaysia has also brought in some limited edition 2017 HJC RPHA 11 Monster Energy helmet series into the Malaysian market.

The Monster Energy series is the first ever official helmet collaboration with the energy drink brand and the designs came from the very famous helmet designer, Drudi Performance.

There are only a limited number of units in Malaysia and each of the HJC Monster Energy series is priced at RM2,429.

Along with the special HJC RPHA 11 Star Wars limited edition helmets, HJC Helmet Malaysia also brought in a pair of very special helmets to add to their every growing collection of top of the line full face helmets.
