Akrapovic launches special race exhaust for Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade

One of the best ways to quickly increase the overall performance of your superbike is by installing a full system exhaust unit and Akrapovic is one of the brands a lot of people think when they want the best. That’s exactly the case with their latest model built especially for Honda’s latest superbike, the Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade.

The fully racing-oriented Akrapovic Evolution Line Kit (titanium) exhaust system was developed together with recommendations provided by the Honda Motor Corporation (HRC) R&D department. That’s right, HRC co-developed this titanium exhaust with Akrapovic and it’s meant to work hand-in-hand with the HRC Race Kit.

This particular unit is only meant for track and race usages as it was built under strict competition regulations. The latest Akrapovic exhaust follows all the routing, diameters, positioning, and all specifications of design for the Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade when it comes to racing (which also includes a relief-imprinted muffler built just for racing).

Using lightweight titanium alloys and manufactured in-house using Akrapovic’s titanium foundry (they’re the only exhaust manufacturer that has one of their very own), everything from the headers to the tip of the can was built for perfect fitment and beautiful look. The result is a full system exhaust that weighs less than 5kg!

Want one? You can probably order one in the near future but if you want to get the best out of your new Fireblade, HRC recommends that you use it with the official HRC Race Kit. Boon Siew Honda has already brought in the Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP for the Malaysian market, priced at RM198,800 (price excluding insurance & road tax).
