30th anniversary 2017 Honda EX5 Fi Limited Edition introduced – From RM5,309

Boon Siew Honda (BSH) announced that they will be rolling out two models of the 30^th anniversary 2017 Honda EX5 Fi Limited Edition.

In conjunction with the bike’s three decades of success, BSH is also celebrating the production of Honda’s global 100 millionth unit milestone.

The limited edition Honda EX5 Fi will be available in two different variants; spoke wheels at RM5,309.54 and cast wheels at RM5,563.94 (basic prices with GST).

Norton launches three 50th anniversary 2018 Norton Commando 961 bikes

Norton has released three 50^th anniversary 2018 Norton Commando model to celebrate five successful decades of the Commando bike.

50 units for each of the 50^th anniversary Norton Commando 961 Cafe Racer, Sport and California will be made as numbered models.

The bikes will be on a ‘first come, first serve’ basis so better be quick about it if you want one of your very own!

The Norton Commando is 50 years old! To commemorate the special occasion, Norton will be releasing three very special 50^th anniversary 2018 Norton Commando models which are the Norton Commando 961 Cafe Racer, Norton Commando 961 Sport and a brand new Norton Commando 961 California. (more…)

Motonation wants to take the best Malaysian custom bike builder to Germany!

Motonation will be organising a special contest for custom bikes this December during their mega carnival from 1 to 3 December 2017 at PICC.

The bike builder with the best custom bike will win a fully-sponsored trip and entry into the AMD World Championship of Custom Bike Building 2018 next year in Cologne, Germany.

AMD INTERMOT’s very own showmaster will attend the big event in December to choose the best custom bike. Registration is open until 20 November 2017.

That’s right, folks. Our friends over at Motonation has plans to fully sponsor one bike builder with the best custom bike to the AMD World Championship of Custom Bike Building 2018 which will be held in Cologne, Germany in conjunction with the INTERMOT show. (more…)

BMW releases 2018 BMW F 850 GS teaser video

BMW Motorrad has released a teaser video of possibly the new 2018 BMW F 850 GS.

The new middleweight GS will carry a host of different upgraded features such as a bigger engine and brand new aluminium chassis.

The video also shows that the bike will carry a new TFT display that’s probably similar to the one found on the 2017 BMW R 1200 GS.

EICMA 2017 is just around the corner and the latest manufacturer to release yet another teaser video to excite the motoring enthusiasts out there is for the new 2018 BMW F 850 GS. When we say new, we mean NEW. (more…)

Yamaha previews 2017 Yamaha YZF-R6 during MotoGP Sepang

The recent 2017 Malaysian MotoGP round saw Hong Leong Yamaha Motor (HLYM) previewing the 2017 Yamaha YZF-R6.

Located within their giant pavilion in the Mall Area of Sepang International Circuit, the new R6 was placed right next to the Yamaha YZF-R1S.

The 2017 Yamaha SCR950, XSR700, MT-03 and MT-07 Tracer were also present to entertain and amaze the crowd.

During the recent Shell Malaysia MotoGP round held at the Sepang International Circuit, there were many activities going on from the moment you park your vehicles until you get back to them way after the races have ended. As you enter the Welcome Area, you’re welcomed with many booths, activities and so much more as you proceed to the Mall Area. (more…)

Motonation Roadshow stirs up a motoring storm up in Penang

The Motonation Roadshow made their way to Stadium Batu Kawan, Penang as their fourth stop.

The roadshow gathered thousands of people with events such as gymkhana, auto salon competition, RC drift races and performance by local legend OAG.

The main Motonation Carnival will happen from 1 to 3 December 2017 at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC).

The fourth stop of the Motonation Roadshow made its way all the way to the Pearl of the Orient that is Penang, Malaysia. With the purpose to promote their gigantic main event this coming December in Putrajaya, the Motonation road carnival gathered thousands of motoring enthusiasts in the Northern region for a one-day extravaganza filled with high octane action and performance. Ducati and Rizoma collaborate to produce special parts

Ducati and Rizoma have formed a new partnership to come up with specially-made bike accessories for Ducati bikes called ‘Ducati by Rizoma’.

The two giant Italian brands are known for producing great motorcycles and also bike accessories.

The first few samples of ‘Ducati by Rizoma’ will be unveiled next week during the EICMA 2017 in Milan, Italy.

The giant Italian bike manufacturer Ducati together with a renowned bike parts manufacturer Rizoma has joined forces in a partnership to produce accessories specifically-made for Ducati motorcycles. This official partnership between the two brands will be marketed as ‘Ducati by Rizoma’. (more…)

Honda Asian Journey 2017 – One of the best ways to experience MotoGP

The second ever Honda Asian Journey 2017 concluded its convoy at the Shell Malaysia MotoGP round last weekend at the Sepang International Circuit.

The caravan started on 26 October 2017 in Melaka where a few lucky folks got the opportunity to pilot the powerful Honda RC213V-S.

Honda Asian Journey 2017 closed last Sunday at the MotoGP round were hundreds of participants cheered for their favourite Honda riders.

The three MotoGP flyaway races have just ended a couple of days ago with the conclusion of the Shell Malaysia Motorcycle Grand Prix. The races on Sunday were all packed with mind-boggling speed, overtakes and unpredictable weather. Out of all the 95,000 plus attendees who went to the Sepang International Circuit (SIC), one of the best groups who got to experience MotoGP Malaysia at its best was none other than the Honda Asian Journey 2017 caravan. MotoGP: Dovizioso extends championship battle to the final round with Sepang win

The penultimate MotoGP round of 2017 saw a battle in the wet where Ducati duo Andrea Dovizioso and Jorge Lorenzo celebrated a one-two finish.

Johann Zarco (Monster Yamaha Tech 3) completed the podium with Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) settled for fourth.

Dovizioso and Marquez will battle it out in the final round in two weeks’ time upon arriving in Valencia.

The final flyaway race saw the things that made the Shell Malaysia MotoGP one of the most interesting rounds in the calendar each year. Just as the Moto2 race ended with a one-two finish from the Red Bull KTM Ajo duo and of course the 2017 Moto2 World Champion Franco Morbidelli, the skies opened up and unleashed a fury of rain. Although it was short, the rain was enough for Race Direction to declare it as a Wet Race. (more…)

Moto2: Morbidelli becomes the 2017 Moto2 World Champion!

Franco Morbidelli (EG 0,0 Marc VDS) has won the 2017 Moto2 World Champion after Thomas Luthi was declared unfit due to a fractured ankle.

Red Bull KTM riders Miguel Oliveira and Brad Binder celebrated yet another one-two finish with Morbidelli completing the final podium spot.

Morbidelli and Luthi will graduate to MotoGP next season in the same Marc VDS team.

The scene could not have been more dramatic during the Shell Malaysia MotoGP round at the Sepang International Circuit. All weekend, the Moto2 riders have gone through severe heat to sudden bursts of rain to keep them on their toes. None more so than the two riders who were fighting for the 2017 Moto2 championship, Franco Morbidelli (EG 0,0 Marc VDS) and Thomas Luthi (CarXpert Interwetten). (more…)
