  • Shell Malaysia organised a very special meet & greet session with Ducati MotoGP rider, Jorge Lorenzo.

  • Fans of the rider congregated at Pavillion KL.

  • The event was held in conjunction with the 2018 Malaysia MotoGP round happening this weekend (2-4 November 2018)

In conjunction with the upcoming 2018 MotoGP World Championship happening at the Sepang International Circuit this weekend, Shell Malaysia organised a very special meet and greet session between Ducati factory team rider, Jorge Lorenzo, and his die hard fans. The event was held at Fountain Cafe, Pavillion KL.

Fans of the motorsports as well as the five-time world champion were able to meet their hero alongside Ducsti Corse Sporting Director & MotoGP Project Director, Paolo Ciabatti. Proud members of the Desmo Owners Club Malaysia (DOCM) also made their way to the event for even more festivities.

Items were signed by Jorge Lorenzo as well as pictures snapped with his loyal followers here in Malaysia but more importantly, this love and support will ultimately assist him in obtaining more positive results this weekend for the Shell Malaysia Motorcycle Grand Prix round at Sepang after missing the past two rounds due to injuries.

In conjunction with the 2018 Malaysian MotoGP round, Shell Malaysia will also be organising yet another Shell Advance Ride Thru service campaign all weekend long. With every purchase of Shell Advance lubricants, fellow bikers will receive a complimentary oil change and free parking! They will also debut their first-ever Shell mobile fuel dispenser for visitors to fuel up with some awesome Shell V-Power Racing.

  • The BMW M5 MotoGP Safety Car will be making a special appearance at Bangsar Village II on October 31st at 12 pm.

  • The BMW M5 MotoGP Safety Car will be joined by the BMW M5, BMW 530i M Sport, BMW S 1000 RR, and the BMW S 1000 RR Safety Bike.

  • There will also be a meet and greet session with three-time World Champion, Loris Capirossi.

Brace yourselves, the MotoGP circus is coming to town and it is going to be massively epic! To kick things off in style, the BMW M5 MotoGP Safety Car plus other notable vehicles in the Motorcycle Grand Prix will be convoying around Kuala Lumpur and will be making a pit stop at Bangsar Village II on 31 October 2018 from 12 pm onwards.   • A 2000cc Moto Corsa naked bike is being planned to be released by UK-based bike dealer called Moto Corsa sometime next year.

  • Called the Moto Corsa 2K, the high-performance naked bike will have carbon-fibre bodywork plus other goodies from Ohlins, Dymag, and Beringer.

  • This highly performance-oriented machine will be powered by a 1961cc V-twin S&S engine with 100hp and 180Nm of torque.

A bike dealer called Moto Corsa originating from South West England has unveiled their master plan to start production as a premium low-volume motorcycle manufacturer and their first-ever machine promises to be a beast. Currently, a 2000cc Moto Corsa naked bike is in the works and the plan includes a maiden production figure of only 20 for a start. (more…)

  • Maverick Vinales (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP) finally ended Yamaha’s longest losing streak with a spectacular victory at Phillip Island.

  • The Spaniard raced a perfectly-tuned Yamaha M1 to fend off the likes of Andrea Iannone (Suzuki Ecstar) and Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati Team).

  • Alvaro Bautista surprised everyone when he finished in P4 as the replacement for the injured Jorge Lorenzo.

If you’ve been spending the past few hours in front of the TV watching the Australian MotoGP round at Phillip Island, you would agree when we saw that all three races from Moto3 all the way up to MotoGP were jam-packed with action and drama.   • Joan Mir (EG 0,0 Marc VDS) and Xavi Vierge (Dynavolt Intact GP) crossed the chequered flag in second and third respectively.

  • The battle for the Moto2 crown will continue to Sepang between Francesco Bagnaia (SKY Racing Team VR46) and Binder’s teammate, Miguel Oliveira.

  • The last MotoGP round in Motegi saw the showcase of the 2019 Honda CBR250RR HRC.

  • Clad in Honda’s racing tricolour scheme, the colour is inspired by the much bigger Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade.

  • The colour scheme is still being considered for the Japanese market and if all goes well, they will be able to get it by November this year.

It seems that the Honda CBR250RR is still very elusive when it comes to its major arrival here in Malaysia. While we wait for its uncertain official introduction, Japan is set for its most beautiful variant yet in the form of the 2019 Honda CBR250RR HRC and we are JEALOUS. (more…)

  • With three MotoGP rounds remaining in 2018, we look into the story so far regarding Malaysia’s very own Hafizh Syahrin.

  • Hafizh finished in the top 10 in the previous round at Motegi, Japan and is currently in a tight battle for the title “Rookie of the Year”.

  • He is only 4 points behind of another fellow Italian rookie and VR46 Academy rider, Franco Morbidelli.

  • The next MotoGP round at Phillip Island will see Alvaro Bautista replacing the injured Jorge Lorenzo.

  • With Lorenzo out for recovery, Bautista was called in to ride the Ducati Desmosedici GP18 in Australia this weekend.

  • This will be Bautista’s final races in MotoGP before joining the Ducati factory squad in WorldSBK come 2019.

The 2018 MotoGP season just began its three flyaway races where Marc Marquez of Repsol Honda claimed his seventh world championship title in Motegi, Japan last weekend. As the paddock scrambled to get things ready for Australian round happening this weekend at Phillip Island, Ducati announced that Alvaro Bautista will be stepping in for the injured Jorge Lorenzo in the next race.
