A bunch of photos posted on Facebook by SuperBikers Malaysia showed that the a few new Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade have already arrived here in Malaysia.

In the post, the bad boys were brought in by the folks from MSCPJ and they’re ready for sale to eager buyers and Honda enthusiasts.

The standard Fireblade is set at RM144,054 while the SP1 model is at RM169,494 (basic prices with GST).

Just hours ago, the Malaysian motorcycle community received quite a lovely surprise when folks started sharing about a particular Honda bike that has just reached our shores. In reference to the Facebook photos posted by SuperBikers Malaysia, it was stated that the new Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade (Standard and SP1 models) were imported in by MSCPJ and ready for purchase. The slipper clutch has been around for years now and manufacturers are starting to incorporate them into their modern day motorcycles.

What was once a tool to make a track or race bike go faster around corners, the technology has been added to road bikes by elevating their advantages especially comfort and overall feel.

Manufacturers like Kawasaki have invested heavily on developing their slipper clutch technology and it’s clear how today’s bikes offer higher levels of riding comfort without sacrificing any of the fun or excitement.

 

Both the 2017 Kawasaki Z650 ABS and Ninja 650 ABS have the “Assist & Slipper” clutch.

Bajaj has announced that they’ll kick-start the production of Husqvarna motorcycles by bringing into a production partnership with KTM.

The production partnership will see the Husqvarna Svartpilen and Vitpilen 401 into production at Bajaj’s Chakan factory located in India which has been producing small capacity KTM models.

Bajaj stated that they have set their eyes on churning out around 100,000 KTM and Husqvarna models by the end of this year and will double that next year if all goes well.

Bajaj Auto Ltd has finally made a crucial and important decision to boost the production of Husqvarna motorcycles by bringing the brand into a production partnership with KTM. This interesting move will indeed enhance the output of Husqvarna and feed the demands of the market. (more…)

MV Agusta has unveiled their latest limited edition 2017 MV Agusta Brutale 800 America in conjunction with America’s 2017 Independence Day.

There will only be 50 units available in accordance with the number of US states and each one pays homage to the red, white and blue 1973 MV Agusta 750 S.

Each of the fifty limited edition Brutale 800 America is priced at $14,998 (around RM64,522* after direct conversion).

There’s a new limited edition MV Agusta and it is as American as it gets. Specially made for the American market, the new and very limited run is dubbed the 2017 MV Agusta Brutale 800 America. BMW Motorrad Malaysia is inviting all BMW GS owners to join the BMW Motorrad Malaysia GS Trophy 2017 South East Asia Qualifier which will take place on the 12 to 13 August 2017.

The one winner of the two-day qualifying rounds will have the opportunity to represent Malaysia as part of the South East Asian team in the BMW Motorrad International GS Trophy competition in Mongolia in 2018.

Registrations are open from now until 12 July 2017. All BMW GS owners are welcomed to join and participate in the qualifying rounds.

Calling all BMW GS owners! BMW Motorrad Malaysia has a challenge specifically for you. Hesketh has announced that their 2017 Hesketh Sonnet cafe racer will be available sometime before September this year in the UK market.

Although there is no confirmed price just yet, it is said that the Sonnet will be priced around the £26,000 mark (around RM144,740).

The Sonnet is powered by a 2,100cc American S&S V-twin engine which produces 142hp and 210Nm of torque.

Back when it was introduced last year, the 2017 Hesketh Sonnet cafe racer is said to be arguably one of the most powerful and beautiful cafe racers of all time. Now, the British manufacturer of hand built luxury motorcycles has announced that the Sonnet will be available in the UK market sometime before September with a price said to be around the £26,000 mark (around RM144,740 after direct conversion). Launched back in May 2017, Modenas introduced two brand new entries to the Malaysian market with the exciting 2017 Modenas Pulsar RS200 and NS200.

When it was launched, the NS200 was considered as a naked version of the RS200 but the differences are actually night and day.

We tested both bikes in different riding experiences and locations and both bikes offer great packages and affordable prices which we know will be a big hit here in Malaysia.

Launched back in May 2017, Modenas together with Bajaj Auto Limited formed a partnership that looked like the ultimate pairing to take over the market share majority here in Malaysia. Getting your bike’s valve clearance checked out is important to make sure that the engine is running smoothly and at its optimum range.

The German MotoGP round saw Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda) continue his domination at Sachsenring with a textbook win from pole position.

All the attention however was placed on second place finisher, Jonas Folger (Monster Yamaha Tech 3) who gave an impressive performance in front of his home crowd.

The MotoGP rookie gave Marquez a run for his money and even managed to lead the race before having to pull back due to tyre wear.

The master of Sachsenring Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda) extended his unbeatable eighth straight win at Sachsenring halfway through the 2017 MotoGP season. This eighth straight win also marked his impressive stat of winning all these races from pole position. The win also puts Marquez ahead of the 2017 championship with a total of 129 points. (more…)

We took the Z900 and Z900 SE (Special Edition) for a long term test ride to see how good these bikes really are.

To put into perspective, we’ve compared it to the previous Z800 and also the Z1000 to really understand how the Z900 ABS is a superior super naked machine from Kawasaki.

False neutrals happen whenever your bike shifts into a state of neutral other than the true neutral positioned between first and second gear.

False neutrals are dangerous as it robs the bike of its forward drive as well as the super important mechanical grip.
