In a recent Motorcycle.com feature, they tested a wild turbocharged Ducati Diavel from Australia proudly modified by S&R Pro.

The owner, Blake Saville, wanted to switch to a much suited bike for his big size and weight but a stock 2015 Ducati Diavel isn’t going to be enough to float his boat.

At the crank, his custom-made turbocharged Diavel churns out a whopping 225hp and 280Nm of gut-wrenching torque.

During last weekend’s Malaysian Cub Prix round held at MAEPS Serdang, Hong Leong Yamaha Motors (HLYM) Malaysia proudly displayed their 2017 Yamaha NVX for the first time in public.

The grand booth was dedicated to promoting their latest scooter offering including a stunt show using the modified Yamaha NVX Challenge race scooter by their stunt rider known as Gaban.

The most interesting bikes in display were the Yamaha NVX covered in the Movistar Yamaha as well as the Monster Yamaha Tech 3 colours.

Those who are in the know regarding the Malaysian Cub Prix national race series will also be familiar with the very special ‘Mall Area’ setup for manufacturers, companies and establishments to publicly display and promote all their goods, merchandises and services. (more…)

The latest 2017 Indian Scout Bobber has been recently introduced to the cruiser market.

Blacked out in the “Thunder Black” colourway, the new Indian Scout Bobber comes with chopped front and rear fenders together with other Bobber characteristics.

At the heart of the Bobber, the 69-cubic-inch (1,130cc) V-twin, DOHC fuel-injected engine fires out 100hp at 8,100rpm and 97.7Nm of torque.

We’re currently witnessing a resurgence of the cruiser scene not just back to its former glory but with bikes like the latest 2017 Indian Scout Bobber popping up, it looks like the cruiser scene is ready to blow off its lids with all these bikes especially this latest offering by Indian Motorcycles. During the latest Malaysian Cub Prix round held last weekend at MAEPS Serdang, the Boon Siew Honda booth displayed a couple of very special Honda RS150R supercubs.

The pair of Honda RS150R was brought in on Sunday afternoon sporting a very different and unique colourway, Black and White with Red and Blue accents.

BSH officials stated that the colour is still a concept for now but will be available soon if all the surveys and feedbacks are positive (which we think it will be).

During the latest Malaysian Cub Prix round which was held last weekend at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS) located just a stone throw away from Putrajaya, a lot of folks head over to the makeshift road circuit to witness some young talents ripping through the track with their race machines. The new lifestyle centre / concept store comprises of the MV Agusta showroom plus service centre to cater to the central region of Malaysia.

The new showroom is currently offering six models which include the Brutale 800, Brutale 1090, Brutale Dragster RR, Turismo Veloce, Turismo Veloce Lusso RC and F4RR.

The 2017 Moto Guzzi V7 III Stone, V7 III Racer and V9 Roamer have been launched earlier today at the Moto Guzzi 3S Centre which will open its doors in August 2017.

The new bike introductions were followed right after the announcement of Didi Resources Sdn Bhd as Malaysia’s official distributor and supplier.

The new Moto Guzzi 3S Centre located at Gasket Alley will be officially launched later in August 2017.

After last year’s success with the first ever Honda Asian Journey trip from Thailand to the Sepang International Circuit, Honda has announced that there will be a second convoy planned for 2017.

This year’s journey will give participants a chance to test out some of Honda’s high performance motorcycles such as the CB500, CBR1000RR, Africa Twin, Goldwing and many more.

The four-day long 2017 Honda Asian Journey will be from 26 October to 29 October 2017 where participants will ride from Melaka all the way to Genting Highlands before heading back down to SIC for the MotoGP Malaysian round.

Honda has made an exciting announcement that the Honda group of companies in Asia and Oceania will organise the second ever Honda Asian Journey 2017. This time around, the Honda boys will be going on a 600km adventure across Peninsular Malaysia in a period of four days. (more…)

Kawasaki Japan has recently announced that their 2018 Kawasaki Ninja 650 and Z650 will be available in brand new colours.

The 2018 Ninja 650 will be available in two new colour schemes (Blue and Grey) while the 2018 Z650 will get three; Yellow, Z900-inspired Black and Green and a Matte Black and Green combo.

Apart from the new colours, Kawasaki Japan will also offer ‘performance’ and ‘touring’ packages for their 2018 middleweight bikes.

Kawasaki Japan has announced that their latest middleweight bikes which are the Kawasaki Ninja 650 ABS and Z650 ABS will be getting some new colours for 2018. Since the bike is still considerably new (and still very much updated as they can be with all their specifications), the next phase of bringing in more colours options seems like a good move to cater to a lot more riders’ preferences. KTM has announced that their latest 2017 KTM RC390 will be getting a few important updates including a ride-by-wire throttle system.

Other updates include a power assist slipper clutch, side-mounted exhaust and bigger front disc brake for overall improved performance.

KTM has also stated that the new RC390 has better ergonomics with adjustable clutch and brake levers, wider side mirrors and redesigned seat for rider and pillion for greater comfort.

The leading Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM has announced that their 2017 KTM RC390 almost middleweight sports bike will be getting a few interesting upgrades that we’re sure will excite a few motoring enthusiasts in the scene. (more…)

The 40th Suzuka 8 Hours endurance race will once again see riders and teams from all over the world fighting for one of the greatest motorcycle endurance races of all time from 27 to 30 July 2017.

This year’s race marks the race’s 40th anniversary where three Malaysians will be competing; Moto2 rider Hafizh Syahrin, current ARRC rider Azlan Shah and 2016 ARRC champion Zaqhwan Zaidi.

Hafizh Syahrin will race together with Team Kagayama on board the Suzuki GSX-R1000, Zaqhwan Zaidi with Team Satu HATI on board the latest Honda CBR1000RR and Azlan Shah will be racing with Team Green and their infamous Kawasaki ZX-10R.

The countdown to the 40th Suzuka 8 Hours endurance race is getting closer and closer. One of the world’s most iconic motorcycle endurance race sponsored by Coca Cola will run its course from 27 July 2017 to 30 July 2017. (more…)

Some folks have been arguing that the latest WorldSBK reverse grid format has not been working out as well as they had hoped it would be.

The plan was to get the podium finishers of Race 1 to start in reverse order from the third row in hopes that they would other riders and teams a fighting chance was doomed from the beginning.

Almost 94% of the podium finishes so far has been filled by Jonathan Rea and Tom Sykes from Kawasaki Racing Team together with Chaz Davies and Marco Melandri from Aruba.it Racing – Ducati.

According to a recent report made by MCN, the big guns over at WorldSBK are seriously contemplating on whether to scrap the reverse grid system which was introduced into the race series earlier this year. It seems that the format is not working out as well as they had hoped for. (more…)
