According to a survey made by R8der.my, the Modenas Pulsar NS200 was found to have produced the most amount of power at the lowest price.

The simple study was made by dividing the prices of the bikes with the amount of horsepower produced to get the “power-to-Ringgit” ratio.

Both the Pulsar NS200 and RS200 sit on top of that list with owners only having to pay RM384/hp and RM472/hp respectively.

What happens when you really think about how much you’re paying for the amount of horsepower your beloved motorcycle produces? Will you be impressed by the figures you’re coughing up or will you be surprised at how much it really costs for a bike that produces that much/little power? (more…)

Suzuki has announced their updated 2018 Suzuki GSX-S1000FZ Phantom for next year.

The new addition to the GSX-S Phantom family comes with all-matte black livery with red highlights plus a blacked-out exhaust.

Suzuki also introduced the 2018 Suzuki GSX-S1000 which now comes in white and the middleweight 2018 GSX-S750 in red and black.

Suzuki has announced their latest addition into the Phantom family which comes in the form of the 2018 Suzuki GSX-S1000FZ Phantom. The GSX-S1000FZ joins the 2017 Suzuki GSX-S1000 Phantom and Suzuki GSX-S750 Phantom which are already available in several markets worldwide. (more…)

Recent reports have indicated that the 2018 KTM 790 Duke aka “The Scalpel” will be priced around €10,000 for the European market (around RM48,432)

While the KTM 690 Duke and 1290 Super Duke R is priced at RM43,396 and RM118,000 (basic prices with GST), the 790 Duke should land somewhere in the middle of that range.

If the predictions are correct, we can expect KTM’s latest naked beast to be around the RM60,000 mark.

According to a recent report made by Asphalt & Rubber, early predictions for the 2018 KTM 790 Duke aka “The Scalpel” has quoted the amazing piece of machinery at around €10,000 for the European market. Ducati has revealed its 2018 Panigale V4 price range for the European market which starts from €22,590 (RM110,182).

The price moves up to €27,890 (around RM136,055) for the S model while the limited Speciale comes in at a whopping €39,900 (RM194,608).

Predicted prices for the Malaysian market would be somewhere between RM180,000 to RM250,000 for all three models.

While most of us will soon say goodbye to the last of the V-twin Ducati Panigales, the rest of the world will be rejoicing on the rebirth of the Panigale model as a V4-powered machine in the form of the 2018 Ducati Panigale V4. The launch of the Wilayah International Motofest 2018 was made official yesterday at the Lake Gardens, Kuala Lumpur.

The major motorcycle event will be organised by Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) and Kepala Kuasa Motorcycle Group (KKMG).

The three-day event will run its course from 23 to 25 February 2018 at Dataran Merdeka.

The second ever Wilayah International Motofest (WIM) was launched yesterday at the Lake Gardens KL where the organisers have confirmed that WIM 2018 will run its course from 23 to 25 February 2018. A special custom Yamaha XJR1300 flat tracker was made for Movistar Yamaha MotoGP rider, Valentino Rossi.

Nicknamed “Mya”, the custom Yamaha flat tracker was built and designed by the folks from the VR46 Riders Academy together with master designer, Rodolfo Frascoli.

The custom XJR1300 comes with R1 headlights, Ohlins suspension, Akrapovic double-barrel exhaust and a set of 19-inch spoke wheels.

The latest addition into the RC family was unveiled as the 2018 MV Agusta Brutale 800 RC.

Unveiled at EICMA 2017, the limited edition Brutale is now Euro4-compliant thanks to a reworked engine that produces 150hp and 87Nm of torque.

Only 350 units will be available and each one will come with a Reparto Corse Kit which allows the owner to bump up the power to 150hp thanks to a couple of racing parts.

KTM motorcycles which are manufactured in India by Bajaj Auto will start producing Husqvarna bikes by the year 2020.

The plant which is located in Chakan is currently manufacturing over 100,000 units of KTM bikes particularly the 125 Duke, 390 Duke, RC125 and RC390.

Bajaj plans to double those numbers when they start producing the highly-awaited 2017 Husqvarna 401 series by the end of 2019.

Austria’s leading motorcycle manufacturer KTM has big plans for 2020 which involves total global domination with the assistance from India’s Bajaj Auto. Part of their plan is to start rolling out Husqvarna bikes at the Chakan manufacturing plant by the end of 2019. (more…)
