FNG Works wins SUPERB MOD Challenge with amazing custom Modenas V15

The SUPERB MOD Challenge 2017 organised by TERAJU and Procara Entertainment saw custom bike builder FNG Works emerging as the ultimate winner.

Five participants were given a Modenas V15, RM10,000 and 30 days to build the best custom bike for the Motonation festival organised at PICC.

Ipoh locals FNG Works and Rusty Factory emerged victorious and took home the RM30,000 and RM10,000 grand prizes respectively.

Six custom bike builders from across the country were chosen to create their best rendition and customisation works using the Modenas V15 as their basic platform. Based on public votes collected via the videos posted up on Motonation’s official Facebook page together with a panel of professional judges, the boys from Ipoh took the hole shot with FNG Works emerging victorious followed by Rusty Factory. How 2018 marks the return of Kawasaki modern classic motorcycles

2018 has marked the return of Kawasaki modern classic motorcycles with the introduction of the 2018 Kawasaki Z900 RS and Z900 RS CAFE.

After years of having the Kawasaki W900 as their only heritage option, Kawasaki returns with two of the most anticipated modern classic bikes for 2018.

Both the Z900 RS and Z900 RS CAFE are expected to show up across showrooms worldwide early next year.

The past decade has shown that Japanese company Kawasaki proving itself as one of the major powerhouses of the world when it comes to manufacturing motorcycles. Rossi’s AGV Pista GP R gets Mexican flavour for 2018 MotoGP winter test!

Valentino Rossi’s AGV Pista GP R with special Mexican graphics was introduced for the upcoming Sepang winter test.

Inspired by the Huichol bead art, Rossi took his inspirations to Drudi Performance to come up with the unique design.

The final result is a hand-painted work of art where Rossi will wear during the 2018 MotoGP winter test on 28 January 2018 at the Sepang International Circuit.

The 2017 MotoGP season might be over but it also means that the 2018 MotoGP winter test is upon us and that’ll excite any motorcycle enthusiast out there. Moto2: Suter withdraws from 2018 season

Swiss chassis manufacturer Suter has decided to step away from the 2018 Moto2 world championship.

Out of 24 teams on the grid, only one wanted to use their chassis for the upcoming season with was the Dynavolt Intact Team.

Suter will take a break from competition to focus on building their next generation chassis to accommodate the new Triumph 765cc engine change coming in 2019.

After the realization that only one out of 24 teams who decided to use the chassis made by the Swiss manufacturer for 2018, Suter decided that to completely pull out for the 2018 Moto2 world championship altogether. This is due to the fact that they see no sense in continuing their efforts for now as it can’t have any commercial benefit to the company. (more…)

WorldSBK Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR is faster than MotoGP bikes?

Jonathan Rea and his 2018 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR set the fastest time in Friday’s testing session in Jerez, Spain last week.

The three-time WorldSBK champion was faster than all eight other MotoGP riders who were testing their machines on Friday as well.

The four-day testing session concluded with Rea as the fourth fastest which was only 0.323 seconds slower than Andrea Dovizioso and his Ducati Desmosedici MotoGP bike.

It was only last week when the Jerez circuit was full of action from both the MotoGP and WorldSBK teams testing out their latest machines for the 2018 season. The last day of the testing sessions concluded last Friday and the results are quite astonishing. Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing Team) and his factory Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR set the fast time at 1:37.986. (more…)

Exclusive tyre knowledge sharing session at Pirelli Tyre Seminar

The Pirelli Tyre Seminar was conducted yesterday at Passion Shop Malaysia located in Sentul, Kuala Lumpur.

The exclusive and free workshop focused on basic tyre knowledge, functions, and other useful information to dealers and bikers.

Things such as tyre types, fitment and proper repairs helped participants gained some practical and real-world understanding.

The folks from the legendary tyre manufacturer Pirelli conducted a very special seminar yesterday to a group of motorcycle enthusiasts. Organised at the grand Passion Shop Malaysia located in Sentul (right next to GIVI Point), two groups consisting of dealers and bikers where presented with some very useful knowledge about Pirelli motorcycle rubbers. Ducati Panigale V4 might be more AFFORDABLE for Malaysians!

Ever since the launch of the 2018 Ducati Panigale V4, people have been enquiring regarding the prices for the worldwide market.

While it’s confirmed that the bike will cost from €22,590 (RM110,182) to €39,900 (RM194,608) in Europe, we thought that it might be priced between RM180,000 to RM250,000 once it’s here in Malaysia.

The Bakat Besi bike build-off contest has finalised their selections of 12 bike customizers and constructors in the Peraduan Reka & Bina.

Initiated by R8der, a lifestyle and performance brand under Modenas, six teams will compete against each other to build the best custom Modenas Pulsar RS200, NS200 and V15 motorcycles.

Three ultimate winners will be chosen to take home the grand prize worth RM10,000 plus two years manufacturing contract.

Malaysia’s first ever talent search programme for Design and Bike Engineering that is Bakat Besi has selected the builder finalists for the Peraduan Reka Bina bike build-off.
