The Shell Advance Roadshow 2017 begins today at Jalan Sentul and will continue across Peninsular Malaysia as well as Sabah and Sarawak on a four-month long roadshow.

There are many activities setup for all attendees including MotoGP tickets to be won, fun games, giveaways as well as the “Elbow Down Challenge” photo opportunity.

The roadshow will also feature a ‘masterclass’ session for mechanics and motoring enthusiasts on great Shell Advance products and proper motorcycle maintenance.

Shell Advance, the leading motorcycle engine oil brand here in good ol’ Malaysia has begun the 2017 Shell Advance Outride Anything Roadshow and will be covering several locations across Peninsular Malaysia as well as Sabah and Sarawak from now until the end of October 2017. (more…)

Renowned Japanese motorcycling magazine has released a rendered image of what has been claimed to be the new 2018 Kawasaki Z900RS retro bike.

The new retro bike from Kawasaki is rumoured to be powered by the same engine found on the 2017 Kawasaki Z900 ABS with styling inspirations from the legendary Kawasaki Z1.

The only current retro bike offered by Kawasaki is the W800 which is basic and slightly bland for some folks but the Z900RS looks like it can be a possible game changer in the modern retro bike category.

According to well-known Japanese motorcycling magazine AutoBy, they have tastefully rendered what looks like the 2018 Kawasaki Z900RS retro bike from the Japanese Team Green. The question floating in everyone’s minds is whether this is just another prediction that’ll flop or if it is indeed legitimate leaked images of Kawasaki’s latest retro bike which is based on the manic 2017 Kawasaki Z900 ABS. BMW Motorrad Malaysia is running a special service campaign for all BMW R1200 GS and R1200 GS Adventure models.

All BMW R1200GS models manufactured from November 2013 to June 2017 are advised to participate in the service campaign due possible preliminary damages to the front forks.

All affected models will have their owners informed by BMW Motorrad Malaysia to participate in the special service campaign.

There has been a lot of news going around the globe informing us that there’s a ‘recall’ from BMW Motorrad regarding two of their flagship adventure models, the BMW R1200 GS and R1200 GS Adventure. Based on a few reliable sources, more supercharged Kawasaki motorcycles will emerged in 2018 to follow up with the success of the Kawasaki H2 and H2R.

Following rumours mainly fuelled by images rendered by Young Machine, the possibility of seeing more than one forced induction bikes from Team Green is higher than we think.

So far, 2018 is looking at either the Kawasaki R2, S2 or H2 GT with the R2 being rumoured to be a middleweight supercharged bike with the ZX-6R styling.

Ever since the revival of the manic forced induction Kawasaki H2 and H2R as the world’s first ever production supercharged motorcycle, there has been a lot more news and rumours pointing towards the possibility of more supercharged machineries coming out from the giant green Japanese manufacturer. A bunch of photos posted on Facebook by SuperBikers Malaysia showed that the a few new Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade have already arrived here in Malaysia.

In the post, the bad boys were brought in by the folks from MSCPJ and they’re ready for sale to eager buyers and Honda enthusiasts.

The standard Fireblade is set at RM144,054 while the SP1 model is at RM169,494 (basic prices with GST).

Just hours ago, the Malaysian motorcycle community received quite a lovely surprise when folks started sharing about a particular Honda bike that has just reached our shores. In reference to the Facebook photos posted by SuperBikers Malaysia, it was stated that the new Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade (Standard and SP1 models) were imported in by MSCPJ and ready for purchase. The slipper clutch has been around for years now and manufacturers are starting to incorporate them into their modern day motorcycles.

What was once a tool to make a track or race bike go faster around corners, the technology has been added to road bikes by elevating their advantages especially comfort and overall feel.

Manufacturers like Kawasaki have invested heavily on developing their slipper clutch technology and it’s clear how today’s bikes offer higher levels of riding comfort without sacrificing any of the fun or excitement.

 

Both the 2017 Kawasaki Z650 ABS and Ninja 650 ABS have the “Assist & Slipper” clutch.

Ever since the dawn of motorcycles, there’s always someone somewhere out there breaking their brains to figure out the ever evolving arms race to develop the most technologically advanced motorcycles known to man.
