Certified Superbike Technicians are in demand!

More and more certified superbike technicians are in demand right now thanks to a growth of a multitude of bikes here in Malaysia.
The TOC Automotive College has specially developed a program called “Superbike Technician Course” to assist in the demand.
The TOC STC is made up of three levels of academic and career development, and all one needs is a minimum Form 3 education to apply for this 18-month course.

The motorcycle scene in Malaysia has been growing steadily over the years, with more and more bikes of all sizes and makes taking to the road, there has never been a time when so many new superbikes from various bike-makers have been introduced in rapid succession. (more…)

Harley-Davidson moves production outside of the US

Harley-Davidson has announced its plans to move its production to their plants outside of the US.
Due to the trade wars between the US and EU, the import tariff for US-made bikes has been raised by 25%.
The President of the United States, Donald Trump, had a few remarks to say about H-D on his Twitter page.

The latest trade wars between the US and the European Union (EU) has resulted in some nasty remarks between a few key parties in the motorcycling industry as well as the President of the United States, Donald Trump. (more…)

2019 Ducati Monster 1200 25° Anniversario unveiled

Ducati has unveiled the limited edition 2019 Ducati Monster 1200 25° Anniversario.
Only 500 units will be available in markets around the world starting September.
The 25^th anniversary model’s best aspect is its special Italian tricolour red, white and green livery with anniversary logos.

During a recent announcement for the program regarding World Ducati Week 2018 (WDW2018), Ducati surprised everyone with the launch of the 2019 Ducati Monster 1200 25° Anniversario. This very limited edition machine was presented by their MotoGP rider, Andrea Dovizioso. (more…)

MotoGP: Dani Pedrosa together with Petronas Yamaha?

Some folks have speculated that Dani Pedrosa will stay in MotoGP next season together with the Petronas Yamaha satellite team.
While nothing has been confirmed, Lin Jarvis stated that talks between Yamaha and Petronas are currently going well.
The next 24 hours will reveal if these possibilities are true as we wait for the official announcements.

Momentum Gathers for GIVI Rimba Raid Mat Daling

Rimba Raid returns to Mat Daling from 6^th to 8^th July 2018.
There currently 200 registered participants representing 13 countries.
A rally kit handover was held together with GIVI Asia and Ducati Malaysia on 23^rd June 2018.

Rimba Raid @ Janda Baik 2018 a Rousing Success

Rimba Raid could probably regard Mat Daling as their spiritual home as it was here that the series began, hence would be incomplete without a return to the heart of Taman Negara (National Forest). The event takes place from 6^th to 8^th July 2018.

As Rimba Raid’s popularity grows over the years, this edition at Mat Daling will be the most ambitious yet, consisting of a 125-km rally spanning 3 days through some of the most beautiful environment Malaysia has to offer. There are currently 200 registered participants from 13 countries.

As such, the organizers provided the opportunity to competitors to collect their rally kit in advance prior to 6^th July.

The event was held at Ducati Malaysia’s compound in Naza Auto Mall together with GIVI Asia as both Ducati is one of the sponsors and GIVI Asia is the main sponsor.

Each rally kit included a personalized rally jersey, official event shirt, numbered stickers for the participant’s motorcycle and extras provided by GIVI Asia.

These participants were also able to view and buy some of GIVI’s latest products (at special promotions) such as aluminium cases, waterproof luggage and helmets.

Some 130 participants showed up to collect their kits by the end of the day, allowing for a smoother registration process during the rally weekend.

The event will begin from Xscape Resort Taman Negara on 6th July 2018.

Saudi women can now ride motorcycles!

The driving ban in Saudi Arabia has been officially lifted earlier this week.
Women all over the kingdom are already operating vehicles and enrolling in driving schools.
Due to a lack of female riding instructors, only a small group of women managed to start learning how to ride in the capital.

It was a historic moment for all Saudi women earlier this week as the driving ban was finally lifted after decades of oppression. Media all over Saudi Arabia erupted with joy as women everywhere began their journey of operating their own vehicles in the kingdom. (more…)
