Marking a significant milestone late last week, the Naza Two Wheel Division expanded its portfolio further by launching its latest brand in Malaysia, Victory Motorcycles.
Present to open Victory Motorcycles’ first Malaysian outlet in Glenmarie were Deputy Finance Minister Datuk Haji Ahmad Haji Maslan, Naza Two Wheels Division vice president Nik Danial Nik Mahmood, and Naza World’s senior vice president of corporate strategic investment division Datuk Maruan Mohd Said.
For those of you who don’t know about Victory, the brand was founded in 1998 and is based in Spirit Lake, Iowa, USA. Though not as old as Harley-Davidson or Indian, the brand is known worldwide for producing a range of exquisitely designed easy-riders and cruisers that are powered by Victory’s own V-twin engines.
The Victory brand will be managed by Harmony Fabulous Sdn Bhd. Located in Temsya Square, Glenmarie, the first Victory Motorcycles 3S centre was built at the cost of RM5 million. Occupying 6,000 square feet of space, highly trained staff members and technicians man the centre, complimented with a full range of equipment and parts as well. Inside, the centre also houses Victory’s complete model range of 13 bikes, each offered with a five-year unlimited mileage warranty plan as well upon purchase.
For our market, the Victory Vegas 8-Ball model stands as the brand’s entry-level offering. Power comes from the brand’s signature 1,731cc Freedom V-twin engine that is paired with a six-speed ‘overdrive’ transmission. Making it very desirable, prices for the Vegas 8-Ball starts just below the RM100,000, and it comes with the aforementioned five-year unlimited mileage warranty.
