Husqvarna Vitpilen 401, Svartpilen 401 & 250 launched in Malaysia – From RM24,800

Husqvarna Motorcycles Malaysia is kicking things off in 2021 with the arrival of the Husqvarna Vitpilen 401, Svartpilen 401, and Svartpilen 250 for the local market (finally). After years of waiting, these street models have finally arrived and ready to stir up the Malaysian motorcycle scene.

Starting things off with the Husqvarna Vitpilen 401, this sub-500cc modern café racer is as cool as it gets right out of the showroom. Fitted with a 373cc single-cylinder engine, this beauty produces 44hp and 37Nm of torque.

A six-speed manual transmission handles the load transfer to its rear wheel and it’s further enhanced with the brand’s Easy Shift sensor, a bi-directional quickshifter for clutchless gear shifts (optional).

Housed within a lightweight trellis frame, the Vitpilen 401 also comes with WP Suspension package (43mm front USD open-cartridge forks, rear progressive damping system), ByBre brakes with Bosch’s dual-channel ABS (320mm front, 230mm rear), 17-inch cast wheels (spoked wheels like in the photos are optional), clip-on handlebars, and all-round LED lights.

Its seat design brings modern lines with classic details together in one package using high-quality foam and leather fabric. The side body panels hide the subframe to give a rear floating impression while riding where everything is seductively integrated into a single unit. In terms of design, the Vitpilen 401 is truly unique.

Moving on to the Svartpilen 401 and 250, they carry the same design DNA as the Vitpilen 401 with more focus on city riding as well as comfort with a dash of off-road styling like the addition of the PASC slipper clutch. You can see this in how the bike was designed, especially its upright riding position thanks to its high handlebars.

The 250 variant is powered by a 250cc single-cylinder DOHC engine that produces 31hp and 24Nm of maximum torque, which is similar to the KTM 250 Duke. Just like the 401, the Svartpilen 250 also has that lightweight chassis and other features like WP Suspension, ByBre brakes, 17-inch cast wheels (spoked wheels optional) and dual-channel ABS.

If you’re looking for a ride that will definitely turn heads anywhere you go, the Husqvarna Svartpilen 250, Svartpilen 401, and Vitpilen 401 are priced at RM24,800 and RM29,800  for both the 401 models (prices excluding insurance, road tax & registration). Head over to any of the authorised dealers here in Malaysia, like Welly Sungai Buloh. They are also in Penang and Johor as well.
