Back in May, MV Agusta introduced the 2020 MV Agusta Superveloce 800 in two very sexy colours which are the Metallic Carbon Black/Dark Metallic and Ago Red/Ago Silver combinations. Now primed for full production, the Italian premium motorcycle manufacturer has released the full specs for the Superveloce but is it really worth the hefty price tag?
For the European market, fans can get their very own 2020 MV Agusta Superveloce 800 at €19,900, which is around the RM98,200 mark after direct conversion. So, what do you get with at this price point from MV Agusta? How about one hell of a beautiful bike for starters? I mean, how can you not fall in love with these curves?
The Superveloce 800 brings together elements of the brand’s past with the latest riding technology and it reflects the best of both worlds. Carrying some specs over from the over-the-top Brutale 1000 Serie Oro, the Superveloce 800 comes with a host of modern equipment such as a full LED lighting system, 5-inch TFT instrument panel, and many more.
For firepower, the new Superveloce 800 is primed with a 798cc inline-three DOHC liquid-cooled engine that punches out a powerful 148hp at 13,000rpm and 88Nm of max torque at 10,600rpm. This is further managed by the brand’s integrated ignition – injection system MVICS, upgraded ECU, ride-by-wire, torque control, traction control, and more.
It is safe to say that the electronics department from MV Agusta is top-notch and that is well-represented in the new Superveloce 800. To make things even more fun, it also comes ready with the MV EAS 2.1 electronic quickshifter which works both ways.

- Fully adjustable 43mm Marzocchi USD telescopic hydraulic fork
- Progressive Sachs, single rear shock absorber (fully adjustable as well)
- Front 320mm dual disc brakes + Brembo 4-piston radial monoblocs
- Rear 220mm single disc brake + Brembo 2-piston caliper
- Bosch 9 Plus ABS system (with Race Mode and Rear wheel Lift-up Mitigation)
- 17-inch aluminium alloy wheels + Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa II tyres
With no one currently handling the MV Agusta brand here in Malaysia (apart from aftersales by the folks from Spokes & Wheels, formerly known as GB Workshop at The Gasket Alley PJ), we probably won’t see one on our shores anytime soon.
