2018 Indian Chieftain Elite limited edition unveiled – “Silver Surfer”

The new 2018 Indian Chieftain Elite limited edition has been introduced for the year 2018.

A brand new silver colour scheme is the biggest highlight of the bike where each and every bike is craftily hand-painted.

The 1,811cc modern-day bagger is priced in the US at $31,499 (around RM122,798).

Indian Motorcycle has just revealed their latest bike yet and in short, it is a masterpiece. The 2018 Indian Chieftain Elite limited edition comes with a whole range of updates and features but the most prominent feature is its beautiful silver hand-painted paintwork.

That’s right, people. Each and every Chieftain Elite is carefully painted by hand and Indian stated that it takes 25 hours for the paint specialists to complete. Looking closely at the special colour scheme, the new silver colourway comes with silver flakes to really make the paint pop out which was inspired by the silver mines in Black Hills, South Dakota.

Apart from the paint job, Indian also included some extra updates to improve the bike’s overall ride and riding ergonomics. These changes include smaller hand controls which help to ride and manage all that power and torque produced by its 1,811cc Thunder Stroke® 111 V-twin monster engine which produces a healthy 161Nm of torque.

This modern-day bagger comes with everything you need for a wonderful ride across the country. With features like a push-button power windshield, 19-inch front wheel, remote-locking hard saddlebags and other premium styling parts, the limited edition Chieftain Elite will take you anywhere in style.

It also comes with the latest Ride Command® infotainment system which is the largest, fastest and most customisable system for motorcycles to date. The main highlight of this system is a 7-inch touch-screen display panel which allows the rider to gain access to things like navigation, Bluetooth, and other bike information needed.

Fancy in taking the Chieftain Elite up a notch? Indian has graciously provided customers with some extra options to boost its performance and practicality. Boost the power by up to 20% with the Thunder Stroke® 116 Stage 3 Big Bore Kit or gain more boot space with the colour-matched quick release trunk.

The US market can get it for $31,499 (around RM122,798) which is the same price as last year’s model. As for the Malaysian market, expect the price to go slightly higher if the bike is made available here. To know more, CLICK HERE.
